This Engine is not my thing. I observed this engine at 2013 HAKUBA engine shows.

The nice finish on this engine is one of the reasons Yanmar is such a big name today . A really lovely engine.

Beautifully engineered this one, gorgeous. Anyone know what the third valve in the head is for? Has a rocker and push rod but is stationary? Just to release compression when spinning up? All I can think of.
