Next year, consider planting a bunch of sunflower plants for seed harvest and also shading for the rest of the gatden.

My great grandmother had a squirrel she fed every day in the summer. It came back every year. Cog hill uses a cloth to wipe the spray on their cow. You might try the same. God bless.
Cog Hill just uses a rag with the fly spray on it and wipes it on while petting them, they don't get upset that way good luck 💕👍

Last year a squirrel came calling on trick or treat night. It took a snickers bar out of the basket and ate it in front of us. So cute.

Better hope she does not get stuck in fence when that halter gets hung up. How can you be a farmer and be scared of all the animals and afraid they might lick you or step on your feet which you should not be wearing sandals if your worried about it.

She did great for first time halter and rope experience...You should have regular halter rope training sessions with bushwacker and showtime also..valuable with farm animals during grooming and medicating....❤
Suggestion...pull release when she moves forward stop pulling...pull release...watch some halter rope training horse training videos ❤
My husband's hobby since he retired is to feed the birds and squirrels. He goes through 50 lbs of corn in two weeks. They are so much fun to watch them playing and chasing each other.
Remember, a squirrel is but a rat with a fluffy tail and better PR.
One of my sons calls them tree rats.

Brandon, try putting the fly spray on a hand towel and rub it on Bushwacker. I saw another farmer do this.

That is so cute seeing the squirrel chomping away on the sunflower seeds. You may need to plant some sunflowers next year. Princess Layla is so pretty. When she is old enough, Layla and Badger will make a beautiful cria. I sure hope Sox and Honey got bred, they will have a beautiful cria too. Love the hats too.

I had pet flying squirrels growing up. They LOVE oranges. You can get a squirrel feeder to hang on a tree. They have a large glass pickle jar. you put sunflower seeds, plain peanuts, peanuts in the shell, dry corn, etc in for them. If you get Brandon to put a simple shelf, an "L" bracket with a board 12"x12", on a tree in front of the cabin, you can put treats on the board each day. Once the squirrel starts coming & eating what you leave him, you can slice an orange into quarters & put one on the board for him. Squirrels LOVE them!

We grow sunflowers for the birds and our neighborhood squirrels along with our other flowers, and my husband gives them peanuts.
I know a lot of people thnk squirrels are cute, but they make a wreck of my patio even tho I use pepper coated bird seed. When they can't get seed they shred leaves of my plants. Even using the Irish Spring doesn’t help. And I can't afford to feed them enough. They are voracious 😢
Wow she did really well for her first time in a halter. She seems very sweet. I hope the other animals will be kinds to her. Always a risk to integrating animals, but best not to be alone, though.
You can set up a rub for the flies. Tie it between two trees and the animal can rub the flies off under it. Have to be careful the animals see it though and everyone else knows it’s there so no one gets clotheslined by it.

That’s crazy they’ll take anything you need it I threw away a loaf of French bread because I forgot it was on top of the cabinet and it was hard as a rock and I just wasn’t going to use it afterwards so I threw it in the trash, instead of taking it up to the chickens The squirrels found it sitting on top of the barrel and they dragged it out into the middle of the yard and they were eating it. Oh goodness.😂😂😂😂😂
Every farmer needs a pocket knife...I actually live in the city I carry a knife in my purse...in my car and my Cowboy always has a knife on his belt...lol
He's not stealing the whole thing. He'll likely leave some shells behind for ya 😂😂

Squirrels eat all of our fruit from our fruit trees- apples, apricots, peaches, persimmons, etc. They get a full meal at our home, but our dogs try to keep them away as much as possible.

Squirrels love pumpkins, strawberries, blueberries and other garden foods.
My husband buys cheaper whole pecans to feed squirrels...the come right up on the patio...we can watch them looking at the 3 gallon can he keeps their pecans in...

I have a very mean squirrel lives in my small back yard trees neighbor lady say,s it lives in her attic and she dont bo how its getting in, I got new roof so not in mine ,he attacks other squirrels if they come in my yard in the chest nut tree named him Tarzan, lol So glad tree dont have hardly any chest nuts this year.Last year I picked up over 400 pounds of them weight them. because ya can not have over pounds weight each week, took me forever to get rid of them.
