I'm sosososo glad your wife enjoyed Villains are Destined to Die, I was reading the series online and I only recently found out that the series is being released in english!! I'm super stoked to get my own copy and re-read it in physical!!! I'm actually getting quite a bit of manga in myself in a few days too! I'm holding of buying any other volumes aside from 1 and 2 that I got, in the fear of they may release a box set of it abruptly when I am already halfway through collecting it lol. Definitely when it comes to your ancient magus bride question. Sometimes it’s been so long between release that you definitely have to go back a volume or two to remember where the plot of going. And don’t feel bad lol we all forget how to say Frieren lol.

I have definitely read out of order tons of times at this point but the one I remember the most. It was back when I first started collecting a few years back and as I was just getting into reading manga I honestly bought ones if I thought the art style was really pretty lol. Well I remember I found my first ever volume of zero vampire and I thought it was the first one for the series. Turned out it was the first volume for the second part of the series so I had no clue what was happening until I finally got the first part of the series and read it.

I love Alice in borderland. One of the best series I have watched/ read in quite some time. The live action Netflix original drama is phenomenal and season two is coming out later this month. Although, I do still wish that Alice in borderland was an anime, it does a good job at being a high-quality live action series.
I never watched it and only read what is out! So im going threw in in the dark which is fun!

after following many manga youtubers I finally decided to start my own collection and ordered all 11 volumes of chainsaw man I really like the anime and i have already read the manga but reading it physically would be so awesome and I am really excited.

recently i’ve been reading berserk and neon genesis evangelion. i’m like at chapter 312 or so of berserk and i’m still loving it as usual. i can’t wait to keep reading it and picking up the deluxes. for christmas i know i’m getting a bunch of manga and then i’m going to go pick up some more manga on boxing day. so excited to have a huge december haul

Mao has been coming out super quick. I haven't started reading it yet but got my volume 8 as well. Inuyasha was a old time favorite and what started me on anime and manga so I always make sure to buy her work when I see it.
Something i was excited about was that Amazon recently just restocked Mushoku Tensei volume 4 so finally got the missing volume to my collection today 😀
I always wondered about Mushoku Tensei if it was good or not. We do tend to pick up all of the other stories outside of inuyasha also since we are fans of that series!
It's become a top favorite of mine I am really enjoying it so far. I definitely recommend it. It also got a anime if ud want to give that a try. That's how I found it and then started reading the manga to find out what happened next.

I love hinamatsuri such a fun series. I remember a couple time when buying manga I would forget what I have and would have a duplicate volumes and come home and see I have it
Ahhh yes I still to this day every once in awhile buy duplicates and it stinks lol
I definitely read volume 2 of Our Teachers are Dating before the first volume, and I didn’t notice until I finished it and reached for the second one… only to realize that it was already in my hand lol. Also Astra Lost in Space is a great manga, hope you enjoy it.

I've never read any of my manga in the wrong order, but I've ordered the same vol. twice and read halfway through before I realize/admit I'm re-reading something. Honestly, I've done this more than once! Great video...as always!

I actually have done something similar to your Hinamatsuri story. I have volumes 1-17 and then 24-46 of One Piece and I stupidly forgot about the huge gap in between when I was reading and when I was reading Vol 24 I was so lost and confused because I didn't seem to know anything that was going on.
LOL thats funny and I cant imagine how weird it would be reading it like something big is missing haha.

I was ordering physicals of Noragami out of order, but was already caught up to the digital releases.
It was a nice back and forth; got to see the hints and foreshadowing after and before the consequences.

I just started reading the elusive samurai and finished volume 1. I’m also in the same boat as you after finishing the first volume, I enjoyed it but it hasn’t hooked me yet like other series. Do you recommend reading through vol 2&3 based off your experience of being 80 percent hooked?
Oh yeah I think more is needed to get the real feeling of it. I will be buying vol 4+ so its worth my time and money. Vol 2 and 3 def felt better.
An awesome haul and a generous giveaway! While I certainly don’t enjoy off center printing on mural spines, it doesn’t bother me badly. This might be due to my poor eyesight making it all blur a bit, or my generally lower standards (I also don’t care much about small scuffs, rips, and stains).
Yeah there is a lot I can live with. But the more I see it as a hobby and a collection the more I just want my stuff to be nice lol
The Alice in Borderland series sounds like lots of fun, so I'm definitely looking forward to picking up the complete series in these new 2-in-1 versions. Covers look really slick

Didn't know that there was a new volume of Rooster Fighter. Probably gonna pick it up because I really liked the first one. I also have a question: How long does it take for you to read a manga volume? I can only read 1 a day.
Yeah rooster fighter is fun so far! I can read 1 volume in 30mins to 1hr depending on how wordy it is.
I got both the latest Ancient Magus volumes in my latest buy and I will for sure have to go back a few volumes (or whole series) to remember what's happening .. which does not effect my TBR list at all 😅
Okay haha I feel better that its not just us who sometimes have to take a brisk look thru the past volume of some series haha.

I honestly have never read a series out of order before. Mainly because I do keep track of my volumes. Another is I do not buy later volumes than where I am at, so if I have 7 then no 9 or above. Also I have a sort of small collection.

So, after reminiscing on how funny the anime of Hinamatsuri was, learning that there is no season two in sight, and also learning that the manga had recently finished, I decided to read that manga and, boy, was it worth it. I honestly don’t remember a time I have laughed harder after reading Hinamatsuri. The jokes almost always land in a hysterical fashion that reflects the absurdity of each situation. When the manga gets to the actual plot of the story, it gets even more absurd. By that, I mean that Hinamatsuri takes a bit of a dive down a save the world storyline, and yet this story is always on the back burner compared to the other characters’ personal struggles. This works because of how likable and funny these characters are. Just like in the anime, my favorite character is definitely Hitomi, the inspirational success story who did not want to be an inspirational success story.
Ahhh another Hinamatsuri fan thats good to hear! I agree with you 100% Its so funny and its not just dumb jokes etc. Its when we have developed characters so we know their ticks and how they react to things which makes it so dang good!

I try not to read out of order if I must- usually if I don’t have the physical volume I would need to catch up on the story I’ll read it online instead, I really should read online first and then decide what I’d like to purchase but reading the physical book is also super nice !!
Oh yeah reading a a few chapters or volume etc is a great way to know if you should invest in the physicals.
I really need to start picking up some Twin Star Exorcists. Watched some of the anime when it came out then just forgot about it. Keep hearing its really good though and now my daughter is wanted to start collecting the series so she can read it.

Something happened to me that was similar to the Hinamatsuri story but with an anime. A few years back I wanted to watch Blood Blockade Battlefront (Kekkai Sensen) but when I searched for it what appeared was Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond and I watched that NOT KNOWING IT WAS THE SECOND SEASON. I watched it from beginning to end not understanding half of what was going on. It was only AFTER I finished that I discovered that there was a first season.

I've Been considering reading Mao for a while now, but I'm just reading WAY too much right now. I'm reading Black Clover, MHA, Berserk, Nejimaki Kagyuu(Really unknown give it a shot), Medaka Box, Kaiju no. 8, Blue Flag, Wotakoi, and Black Torch. Should I add to my stress and start reading Mao or should I wait?
Well I also have a zillion on going series and it can be stressful. But if you find a way to fit it in where you can enjoy it then Id say yes. If not maybe wait until your running low on manga and pick one up.
What a great haul! So many I would like to get into! I finally read through Erased! I did enjoy the manga ending more than the anime. The live action show was more like the manga ending. What was your favourite pick-up from this haul?
Yeah with erased I read the correct ending first (manga) then watched it so it felt way way worse of a ending in the anime. I still have no clue why they did that lol. I would say I liked the Shuna's Journey by Miyazaki a lot this haul. Its a nice hard cover one shot and the art was wonderful.
I don’t hear a lot of people talk about The Elusive Samurai. It’s gotten a lot better after the first volume. It’s probably my second or third favorite shonen manga that released this year physically

How is Beyond the Promised Neverland? I picked up vol 1 and 2 recently because I liked the anime (as far as season 1 went), and I was thinking of getting the side stories.
It was good and worth a pickup if you liked TPN. But id say to read the manga after season 1 so you get the real story/ending and be happy!
I loved Astra lost in Space, it was such a surprise to read since I picked it up on a whim. Enjoyed it so much that I'm buying my own copies in the new year.

Okay so there is no real easy way to keep up on print dates (which stinks) But you can find out with a few methods. Look on RSanime in the manga section and it shows pre order dates. Also B&N / amazon etc has a good one thats usually true. Then there is sub reddits for manga where people get the info and share it etc. Not ideal but it works.

I dont think I ever removed any posters etc from a manga or even a box set. Not that they are not cool I just wouldn't hang them up anywhere anyways so no need. I also dont eat while reading but im sure there is some snack that would be alright to eat while reading.

I say my top anime is dragon ball since I grew up with it but been reading the demon slayer manga and gotten to book 14. Loving the series so far, I want to read dragon ball super manga or even some chapters of naruto since I never got into it before. What would you consider your top 3 manga/Anime?
Oh boy top 3 is not set in stone but id say 3 I always think of are One Piece, HxH, YuYu hakusho.

Its good so far and I like it so you may also! I know they are reprinting the vinlands in a more premium hardcover sometime so maybe the other ones will get cheaper and more available.

Picked up marshle magic and muscles volumes 1 to 9 and let this grieving soul retire volumes 1,2 3 and assassins creed blade of shao jum volumes 1 ,2,3 and on the 16th im ordering dragon ball super volume 17 ,assassins creed blade of shao jum volume 4 and let this grieving soul retire volume 4 . Then on the 2st im ordering one piece volumes 4,5,6,16,17and 18 .

I am all about the Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt. Sadly, I slept on it and am now STRUGGLING to buy them all. Apparently they are not that popular, so may not be reprinted anytime soon. ☹️. Need you to keep hyping them in your content. Then, I may one day have a chance!

Yeah I can do a video like that. I do have a full video scedule but I could do a nice one with 10 or so series. I do show off stand alone series in hauls etc.
