I had a zx7r brand new in 2002. 13 bikes later including an 04 Fireblade, '15 S1000RR and a '16 899, I've just bought another '03 Zx-7r. It's definitely a bike that performs contrary to what the spec sheet might imply. The reason I like it is that it inspires confidence. The S1000RR I had beats it hands down everywhere, but I never managed to feel hooked into the S1000RR - even reducing the power (rain mode) and softening the damping didn't entirely address it for street riding. And whilst the S1000RR lap times crushed the zx7r, the less frantic pace of the zx7r let me concentrate on technique a little more. If you are a highly skilled sportsbike rider, by that I mean that you are likely to be regularly doing trackdays / track racing, you're unlikely to get anywhere near the limits of something like an S1000RR. I can get near the limits of the zx7r and it's a lot of fun!
Not to mention that Kawasaki won 7 that's right count them 7 world championships with this bike and that is why they built it for so long so before you go dissing on a so called out dated bike do some research my friend
there's a reason that there are so many still on the road! it was considered bullit proof , I have a 94 zx7 thats been well taken care of . and with the proper carb tunening(flatsides) and a good 3.00 gear ratio on the sprokets it will definatly hang with most liter bike today/ especialy if you uprgrade the brakes and suspension, there's no liter bike on the road that will hang with it in the turns.
The new generation of young kids like the twitcthy bare bones hollowed out weak 600 bikes. I'm 18, but grew up around the stereotypical ninja, so I got one. 01 Zx7r after my Ninja 250 :) Best looking bike on the planet for me, its like explaining math to a dog when people ask me why I got such an "out dated" bike.
Some people’s think it’s outdated but think about it if it won 7 years of championships? To stay on top of everybody’s in it’s début year’s how it has to be in advance of there time, still a wonderful machine Just for the fun of it , we are in 2018 I got a zx-14 R with 211 hp and 126 pounds of torque and I just pick up a zx-7 1998 for 700. $ ok it need a bit of love but I’m going to be happy to spend time refreshing it just to take a ride on it from time to time and where ever I park for a minutes m sure it’s gonna turn some head again 👍👍👍
Ok I'm just going to put this out there a Hayabusa stock will only pull mid 10s stock in a quarter mile so hang with liter bikes I think so. Second of all all the weight on this bike is up front why you may ask so it doesn't want to stand straight up every time you snap the throttle so that being said it doesn't matter what size your bike is or how much power you have if it stands and you have the flutter the throttle to keep it from standing too high then you're not getting all of your ponies on the ground hints useless power. I tell Ya far as cornering well let's just say I've about ripped my foot pegs off going through a 90 degree turn at 45 mph. So if you know how to ride Ya it could almost out corner most bikes
@JooKed i just said the same comment on another video i drove a gsxr 600 yesterday my friend got one fuck me its like a 125cc doesnt feel safe like the older bikes big and heavy..

Just bought a 1990 zxr750h2. First ninja, looks alot like yours, has the 1997 zx7r tail cowl. green and white with blue. Insane bike to ride.

Just bought myself one of these. Cheap, powerful enough to be fun, reliable and really good looking. What's not to like?
Wish you would've put the dyno result sheet and some upgrades done to the bike. Exhaust?
What HP did it make?
I feel the video lacked a point.
Ive got the time slips to prove it. 10.94 in the quarter, my buddies R1 ran an 11.20
Old Skool Superbike :}

All bikes sound naff on the rolling on video, Get 'em on the open road and they will sing things you never heard,just like Lemmy's Bass !
