Hi, I'm OlbapXIV, the pink player from the second game, What can I say..., I like going for wonders in 4vs4, I know it's not the best strategy, I know I wasn't very fast, I know I'm not very good player. I was too focus playing sim city didn't realize beasty was destroying the enemies bases. Hope you read this beasty, love your videos, I'm so glad to be in one of them.
@@Peatopher90 I don't think you understand the people he's playing against are also not competitive players. If there was a person truly taking the game serious and grinding the game they wouldn't be playing in this rank. They just chilling while trying to improve here and there
I'd just suggest if your teammates want to attack or wall whatever, just go along -- build a few units if you need to.. while attempting wonder. It will be fun. I assure you. Now.. if they don't signal nor chat, it's natural that you go with comfort.
BeastyQT didn't seem to experience the pain of queing into teammates that don't speak English and then just surrender the moment they get rushed with 5 units. Ranked isn't too bad when you play with stream snipers
Very funy round !!! :) Onminute 18:40 i cant stop laughing. but than.... The disappointment was huge. What a bad team play. ... No one waited for Pink's miracle. The game wasn finished... The miracle... it was still in the creative phase. The world will never see it. Sad.
@@zoomgaming4959 Right? It's absurd. 🤣 I watch a chess channel where this is kind of a meme. The person who runs the channel frequently has to solemnly swear that their opponent is not a paid actor. (Or at least, *they* didn't pay them.)
@@Peatopher90 There's your problem, you go wonder as the standard strategy. Instead of wonder, just go FC and build units, kill your opponent and make the game 4v3 within 15 minutes, then it's easy gg from, there. Anyone can do this, because opponents going for wonder are basically 3v4 anyway since they don't make any units. Also, they all start trading so early not making any units to defend trade, so just build units and kill them while they play sim city.
People generally communicate. People in silver would still attack with me -- Feudal. Not everyone. But like 2 to 3 out of 4. (Hadn't played the game for forever. I aint fast enough to attack alone.) 3v3 and 4v4 is always chill like that. 2v2, another story. Perhaps too much responsibility on each player. There is not enough brain space to coordinate.
This video had nothing to do with it being hard to stop trade. Trade wasn't established or protected yet, so it was easy to overrun cuz of good timing as a function of scouting. Just like an obsession with the word ilalu is a function of playing as the malians
Well you aren't wrong about the high APM :) But I would suggest looking at beasty's guide videos if your goal is learning. I watch beasty to be entertained :) Oh, I can also suggest Whamenqt channel if you want a non-pro AOE4 channel. Or beasty's videos on coaching Whamen to conqueror. Aussie Dronggo is another channel that does guides. Opening builds in AOE4 are like opening moves in chess. APM is not needed as no one is attacking you at the start. Just memorize the builds/guides from beasty/aussie. Hope you keep playing AOE4. APM is not as big a deal as compared to a good build and good understanding of the game :)
I don't know. The whole APM not big deal theory is opposite from reality. The actual way the game makes it viable for everyone to play is that you are matched to players of similar skills (often similar APM). And OP is right, until you are past a certain level, watching Beasty's vids are not very educational -- apart from dedicated guides obviously. They are meant to be entertaining. Learning takes steps.
@@ecpgieicg Agree on apart from guudes, beasty's content is for entertainment purposes. Agree on learning, especially in RTS games, takes lots of steps. Unit counters. Opening builds. Micro and macro. Map awareness. Etc. The reason I say APM is not as big a deal compared to other things like game knowledge and a practiced build/strat is because several people made videos on this already. Even beasty made challenges like under 100 APM back in the Starcraft2 days AND SC2 needs more APM than AOE4. There's several times beasty mentions this as well that APM is not that big a deal. So as long as you have copied a good opening build. You're already ahead even if your opponent in your league/rank has higher APM than you. It is in the top PRO level where every APM matters and can be the difference between winning or losing.
