I've been a pro videographer for 30 years and currently work at a network with 3 letters. Someone with EFP/ENG background definitely had a hand in this camera's design. They've taken many cues from broadcast cameras, which is FANTASTIC. All of the external switches are large, well thought out and in the exact places as existing ENG shoulder mounted cameras like my current Panasonic AJ-Px500G. Thank you Ursa for putting a ND filter wheel where it has been on ENG cameras for 30+ years! I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one. We are still shooting 1080 at my show and I'm urging them to upgrade to something with the capability to shoot not only standard video, but also have the ability to shoot more cinematic images. To boot, this thing is ONLY 10K. Impressive! Excellent video too sir.
I just returned from a 2 day shoot of eng/promotion footage. I needed to be flexible and very fast. Most of the time I was shooting from the shoulder/handheld with some sticks for statements. I can absolutly agree that the ursa is a true worker. Love my Ursa!!!
Hi thanks for this video. I do lots of run and gun which require autofocus. I am currently looking at this BM and the Sony FX6. I know the Sony has great AF, what about this Blackmagic?
@@BooneLovesVideo lol. My AJ-PX5000g with full-size Anton gold mounts comes in @ +24lbs. I ENG that every day. As long as this balances out front to rear with a lens and batt, sign me up!
Yeah this sensor problem has NOT been addressed on the net.... so may returns and what if the ones that don't have a problem end up being susceptible to it later?

I've heard the URSA shoulder kit is pretty uncomfortable, what are some of the other options for shoulder mounting?

I found it to be really comfortable. And I usually hate every shoulder mount.
when I used it, it was alright I might get another shoulder mount. or maybe use two handles instead of one

Yeah, this camera is a beast. Quite heavy after you include all of the attachments.
