My wife and I will be visiting for a couple of days next month so thanks so much for posting this tour.
I was born there, but was raised up the river in Newport. Every time I come back through I’m reminded why I love Marietta.
My husband is originally from Marietta (I'm originally from Caldwell), but I did live in Marietta for several years, and met my husband through the community theater in the spring of 2000 when they were doing "Fiddler on the Roof". We got married 21 years ago, and lived here for a few years before we got into a bad situation with bad people and had to move back to Caldwell.
There is a book called The Pioneers about Marietta and the original building, history and settlement of the town.
