    Story
Although DAUGHTERS OF THE NILE was made in 1982, the film hasn't lost any of its current interest. It offers a unique insight into a segment of Egyptian society that has hardly changed over the years. The lives of women in Egypt can still be very limiting, with all aspects of their existence spelled out by the teachings of the Koran. With little voice in their education, or marriage, they must accept the unbending rules of their society. Daughters of the Nile offers a unique account of their day-to-day living, married to men chosen by their fathers.

The documentary makers are misleading people. They actually misinterpreted what the sheikh said, with a negligent translation (this is a VERY common tactic - because - by definition - if you need a translation you will not know the source language that well, if at all, so many unscrupulous people manipulate that vacuum!)
In fact he is praising women and repecting their role, but nowhere is he advocatimg this backwards approach of keeping girls at home!
    So who is this man?
Abdul Hamid Kishk - he was imprisoned by the regime for many years and became an unlikely hero of many an Egyptian, including the non-religious! He was only released from unfair life imprisonment on condition of foregoing his Right of Freedom of Speech - because his Friday sermons were rocking the nation including secular Egyptians who felt the heat of oppression under the foreign backed Egyptian regimes (first backed by the Soviets, under Naser, then later Sadat, under the US, and had SOMEONE talking sense and fearlessly mocking the leaders from the pulpit!
But he paid a big price - his freedom.
This makes it especially egregrious that some documentary makers abuse his speech this way!
After prison, and being banned from giving speeches, he took to writing. Many of his speeches are on the net, especially YT.
Shaykh Abdul Hamid Kishk was blind since he was a young boy, yet had memorised the Qur'an by age 10, upon that, he was admitted to Azhar university. He was fearless of the authorities. He used to pray "O my lord, let me live as an imam, and die as an imam, and take my life while I am prostrate in prayer to you."
One Friday he left for the mosque, he sat through the sermon and prayed.
But when the prayer had finished, he was still in prostration. God had granted him his prayer and taken his soul while in prostration.
He was not a narrow-minded extremist like they wish to assert - and the self-serving translation, missing out his praising a mother's role - repeatedly - was not translated at all. Just goes to show, some people still fear the power of a good Islamic speaker, so must pervert his words. May God have mercy upon Sheikh Abdel Hamid Kishk.

This is stupid. Nothing the Shaykh said was wrong. In fact it was incredibly noble. So why did these producers play it right after talking about Egyptian villagers forcing their women to be in the house?

The chapter called Women NOT Cows! In Islam women should get all the luxury they deserve provided by their husbands! i.e. travel expenses, food, holiday, basically their salary and bonuses should go into their account without having to go out and work for it. Also they should get all the respect and never abuse them and a witness of 8 women or 4 men is a MUST if someone accuse a woman of adultry!Because if you treat them best,u will have best generation of kids brought up by good mother

while I agree that it is a shame to think that women should not be educated because their breasts are a temptation...
but what that man said was not all bad--he had a distinct appreciation for motherhood--a serious moral deficit in the west. Women and make an irreplaceable contribution in the home--raising generations.
But going to school and being educated can make us better mothers!

I mean, 1. Haram money earning 2. Music 3. False acquisition
    4. You know what you are doing be it right or wrong and we are not anyone who can judge you BUT, Allah knows what's in the hearts of people so.... I mean, every action has an equal and opposite reaction right 🥲

Simple question! women's right in Islam are too many, regardless of people are following it or not!! Almighty Allah and our Prophet Mohamed asked us to follow it, in fact he said please do your best to look after women, that was the last advice he gave us at his last breath when he died! In fact, Almighty Allah, has never sent a chapter in our holly book called 'Men' BUT he sent down a whole chapter called 'Women' explains about their rights!! I can't fit them all, but simply men provide 4them
