Wow my dad had me and my siblings singing this song when we were kids. My older brother lead it. I got a case of nostalgia this morning and decided to look it up. This is my first time actually hearing the recording. Your mother's voice is absolutely beautiful.
This song was actually written by Willis DeVone who played and worked with groups/choirs in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Willis was a talented song writer and musicians.
It is amazing how I have not heard this song since I was a young girl, I heard other versions of it, they was ok but when I found the original version on UA-cam, I was sooooooooo ….HAPPY!!!!!!! Yes!!!! thank you so much I love this God Bless

Thanks for posting!! I was telling someone I rememeber a nother version other than the Cosmopolitan choir version, but started to think maybe my memory was just off. Now I know I'm not crazy and I like this version better.
You know my godmother always told me that song was from Sacto! And just like1986babyboi, I've lived in sac all my life, and I thought she was just mistaken! WOW!!!! Thanks for the post! BTW who's listed as the writer of the song?
Except the version I heard must've included a tag medley "He made the lame to walk,He made the dumb to talk,He made the blind to see,He went to Calvary to set the captives free and give the victory (something like that) anyway it's a great message in song!
This is my Mother, Donna Daggao, I remember when this was recorded live. My Mother's amazing voice lives on forever. Rest in Paradise Mom.
This is an AWESOME song, and your mother did it justice. She did THAT!
