I hope you'll upload more of these. I've played Pokemon for 18 years but never tried the card game. Love watching you play and learn about the rules at the same time. Thanks Boogie!
I started playing Pokemon TCG Online because of you, Steven! I've always been a Pokemon fanboy since I was 5(when I got a Gameboy + Pokemon Yellow), finally gave the game a shot, since I've always liked TCGs(and I broke my right hand hahaha). It's REALLY fun! Please, do more Pokemon TCGO videos, I really enjoyed this one!
Boogie, please listen. This video is SUPERB. Please make more of these. There are not many youtubers like yourself doing this kind of thing it would make such a great series.
Thank you for this Boogie! Like you said, I've collected pokemon cards since my childhood (23 now) and you've really inspired me to learn how to actually play. The pokemon craze is BACK and Im so freakin happy about it!!!
MTGO compared to that interface is basically cave men throwing stones at each other and beating each other with clubs. As a professional software designer, I HATE MTGO! Pokemon Online forever!
Ironic that I felt the opposite. Given how wealthy Pokemon is, they could've done better than this basic interface and look. At least with Hearthstone you could interact with the environment, here, it's aesthetically bare bones.
@Tigerfanman I haven't played MTG before. I wasn't too critical of it because they don't have Pokemon/Nintendo money. Any card game where the company is doing financially well off yet doesn't have a good-looking/attractive interface are ones I go after. Same with Hearthstone. Hearthstone looks really good, probably the best in the field/genre, but if it didn't then I would've criticized it too because it has Blizzard Entertainment money behind them.
As a Ex-Pokemon tournament player (Placed Top-8 in my state championship) this was fun to watch! It reminded me of the good ol time playing with my friends/family. Thanks Boogie.
Really enjoyed watching this and learning the game. I collected all 150 cards back in 4th grade when pokemon came out, but never played the actual card game. Would love to see more of this content.
Please play more of this. I loved watching, Always colected the cards but never really played it. Do to time constraints I feel like i dont have enough time to learn but loved watching you play!!!!
"how many of us collected the cards and never really played the game". gunny cos thats exactly why i got to this vid, i was starting to look into playing after finding my cards from long ago. it looks amazing
I LOVE the way you ran through this tutorial...very fast...plenty of commentary but you paced this perfectly for a gamer. I can't stand videos that take FOREVER to get to the point, or assume everyone watching has no idea how to use a mouse.
I like the never give up speech at the end of the video... I like it even more when Boogie says it because you should see how many matches he concedes when he plays on Twitch! hahahahaha
This has been a recent obsession of mine as well. I feel like you're just enabling me at this point as I just watched another one of your videos yesterday and it led me to buying the Venusaur and Mew Y card sets.
I started playing this game after pokemon go came out. This game has my respect because its pretty much the only Pokemon related thing that was able to hold up after the resurgence of players wanting to play after Pokemon Go released. Its pretty fun, and got me to spend a decent amount of money on the game. Well put together, but sometimes the games are a bit 50/50 luck based depending on your draw or coin flips. Still awesome though!
Boggie i have subscribed since you had 500k subs. I love the fact how your playing pokemon TCG. I used to play it. But seeing as you are playing it, it had reminded me of how fun it was and now i will start playing again. Thank you so much boogie, and please make more pokemon TCG, would love that!
I bought a Lugia duel deck thanks to this video and started playing online. My best highlight is that I got to play vs Boogie himself :) Thanks for all the videos. -LjsJellona
Please make more Pokemon gameplay videos! I've watched this one 3 times now because it's so much fun to watch, but I'd love to see some new content of Pokemon games!
Love the gameplay! My girlfriend and I actually got into it just from watching you! We watched the unboxings vids and went out and did the same, and started playing online :). So much fun!
That was so great, love watching you play. Been playing so much of this myself, but you have a way bigger collection! I haven't spent any real money yet though.
been loving all Pokémon tcg videos keep them up. I also loved collecting the cards when I was younger but never knew how to play properly, but since you have been playing you have me hooked to. love if you could make a video of any tips and tricks you may have when building a deck and maybe what not to do. keep the good videos coming
One thing that they took out in the recent update was freechat, where you could type anything that you want, and they changed it to a small about of emotes! We hate that stuff! I like to have a conversation with my opponent, trade battle tips, problems with your current hand, rage at them for taking out your favorite Pokémon and a bunch of other reasons. I hope that they give it back in the next update. (I do have this game and I LOVE IT! :) it's awesome, been playing for a couple months.)
This is amazing that so many people have an interest in the Pokémon TCG. It warms my heart literally. If you have the opportunity to attend any competitive Pokémon event then do it, it will change your life. I started at my local league in 2013 with an incredibly bad deck and attended my first city championship later that year. It was my dream to win that tournament and go to worlds..... I went 2-3 and was really upset. But I was determined! I continued to compete and hoped that I would snag an invite, but I didn't, I was heartbroken. The next season I competed at even more tournaments and still wasn't even close to an invite. Then as the 2015-2016 season came I knew it was time. I went to a regional in the fall in Ft. Wayne Indiana and out of 102 players by round five I was the only 5-0 player and currently in 1st. It was a dream come true.... until I lost my last 2 rounds and missed top cut, It was a huge milestone and I competed at countless other tournaments hoping for an invite and later got top 64 at nationals and winning $500! I'm pleased to say that I am competing at worlds and will be flying out to San Francisco next week. I know that was a long and boring story on my competitive Pokémon life but it's just a point to say that competitive TCG will change your life for the better, you meet so many great friends and you travel across the country. The community is always looking for more players and everyone here is welcome to be a part of it.
man I watched through all your past broadcasts of pokemon tcgo on twitch. Great to watch while Im playing the game myself, or doing something else. Would love to see more over there.
nice tips boogie, i just recently started playing 2 and am surprised with how much is available without the requirement of investing real money. With patience I was able 2 get a nice zapdos themed deck as well as many cool looking card and the free boosters every 4 days is awesome. would love 2 see u take out a tournament, keep the pokemon tcg vids rolling very entertaining :P
I hope you will want to record yourself playing more of this because I really enjoyed it. I never bothered registering the cards I got in the past (I know shame on me) and I wish I would have. The closest I got to playing this game was the GameBoy Advance version of something like this, but it's obviously much outdated, but the game opened my eyes. It really showed me how to play with the cards or give an idea since the times have changed. Wish I owned that game though, but this will definitely do.
Freakin love your videos dude :) you also commentate so well on your pokemon vids. Cant wait for more. Just a fan suggestion... You should totally make a Lets Play of horror games! Theres so many good horror games out there.
Omg I would hate playing you in a game with how long you're taking between turns. But I get you're explaining the game to people and I'm sure they appreciate it
Man, you went up against a Water Toolbox deck in the first pairing of the tourney. That's a rough matchup fam, but still fun to watch you play! I play and judge the game every weekend at a local league as an official Professor so it was a rather pleasant surprise to see this on my feed c:
I've seen this thumb nail forever but always put it on the watch later, until today... I went out and bought two booster packs and I got super lucky. I got that zapdos, mew, jurachi, flarion ex, and crobat!
Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon TCG are the only cards games I know how to play and love. Yu-Gi-Oh! is my favorite card game but I also love Pokémon TCG (I really need to go back playing Online and I also loved the Game Boy Color game).
@TheSharinganDragoon Try Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. It's an official game so you don't have to worry about it being removed for copyright violations and it's free. You can play against the computer or real people.
Just to add to what Boogie said in the video. You can also use the 3 Basic decks in theme battles upon winning 7 games with them in Trainer Challenge. There's also a 4th Basic deck Basic Yellow which can be unlocked upon finished the tutorial. And from what I read the Tournaments rotate every week, and on the next couple rotations you can play Theme tournaments, for 4 tickets. If you win them you can earn Booster Packs that are unlocked, and tradeable, unlike most of the boosters you earn in game. If you wanna be smart about it, don't open them, and trade the unopen packs for cards you want. Like EX cards. If you have any questions I'd recommend hitting the Pokemon TCG Online Subreddit, people over there have been pretty friendly, and quick to answer in my experience.
Oh my gosh yeah, the random discard your hand draw 5-7 is insane! And you can just dump your hand then use that. I also noticed from watching a regional thing Pokemon even has some discard shenanigans with Pokes in the discard that make them even more broken. It was surreal coming to this from MTG, even though I only played the Pokemon TCG as a kid.
Im a competitive pokemon tcg player myself. i play sceptile ex/ariados and i can say a lot of people have told me that its crazy and unbalanced. but its really not. Discard your hand and draw 7 cards (professor sycamore) is a must be card in every deck.'
ToTo Bear Plays! I getcha. I don't think it's unbalanced when it's more common in the Pokemon TCG, but something like that would be quite nice in Magic as a hand refiller.:)
Boogie you should collect the older cards, there are a bunch of them. Some of the rarest sets are aquapolis and skyridge from the early 2000's. The art on the older cards is just so beautiful.
I want to see you play more of the Pokemon TCG Online. I think you did very well. But then agian ive never played the card game. Ive collected the cards since about 1998 or 1999.
I really enjoyed this video Boogie. I just subbed to your channel and also just got into pokemon and the tcgo. Hope to see more pokemon vids in the future :)

OMG I just made scrambled eggs just now. Get out of my head lol.
can i have some?

this is actually a lot of fun and i never played trading card games before seriously. glad you showed this on your channel Boogie!
Lugia is pronounced Loo-Gee-Ah. Boogie.
It really bothers me
bothered me to no end too sigh
Thank you :)
It's not that serious. Some people never watched the anime.
He said in this video he watched the anime, you deaf?
I like the never give up speech at the end of the video... I like it even more when Boogie says it because you should see how many matches he concedes when he plays on Twitch! hahahahaha
Can you make more of these?
Your personality is great, and enjoyable to watch.
Wish there were more of these!

MOAR!!! This was really interesting, I would like to see you play more of this game!
This made me want to play the actual card game. I always watched the anime and collected but never played it. Thanks Boogie!
I'm so glad he's playing this game it makes me happy to see one of my favorite UA-camrs indulge in my favorite franchise
Night March deck is crazy, loved this online game for long time. Glad Boogie found it!
I've played Pokemon TCG last time as I was a kid. After watching your few videos I'm definitely starting to play it again!
This game could really benefit from some sound effects animation and music. Seems a little stale without it
+pinfarmer it has plenty! But I turned them down to not compete with my voice. Maybe I'll show you the next time!
+Boogie Plays Games the music is alright sound FX are on point though
It has cool music that sounds like the old PS1 Spyro games XD
Ghost sniper
pinfarmer and new maps
Boogie, I've finally come early! Your videos are amazing and who you are is fucking awesome! Keep doing what you're doing and being the guy you are!
FINALLY ITS HAPPENING I PLAY PTCGO EVERYDAY

I bought a Lugia duel deck thanks to this video and started playing online. My best highlight is that I got to play vs Boogie himself :) Thanks for all the videos. -LjsJellona
Fun to watch bit dayum! Confusing. Nice explanation Boogie. Thank you.
As a former magic player the draw cards in Pokemon had me baffled at first too lol , great video hope you do more standard decks
Please make more Pokemon gameplay videos! I've watched this one 3 times now because it's so much fun to watch, but I'd love to see some new content of Pokemon games!
It'd be cool to see more of these online battles!

I've seen this thumb nail forever but always put it on the watch later, until today... I went out and bought two booster packs and I got super lucky. I got that zapdos, mew, jurachi, flarion ex, and crobat!
Thankyou for the video, great video on showing people what this game is about. I started play ing it today and loving it already. :D
Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon TCG are the only cards games I know how to play and love. Yu-Gi-Oh! is my favorite card game but I also love Pokémon TCG (I really need to go back playing Online and I also loved the Game Boy Color game).
Hearthstone is really good
I also tried that game.
+TDPNeji to bad all the ygo online games are getting taken down for copyright

Hey boogie! I saw that you uploaded a video, and 10 seconds in you've already made my day so much better. Thank you, and stay amazing!
damn that's all it takes. you live a very sheltered and sad life but I'm glad this man could help you
+Heldagrif I don't really live a sheltered or sad life. I don't believe a life can be classified. Everyone has their good and bad days, do they not?
+Heldagrif it's the little positive things about him the make me happy. You shouldn't really assume the quality of one's life over a comment.
Heldagrif Yeah, I live the sad life, says the edgy little kid who acts like he just found the internet.
Dude...let it go already...its been like a week.
Please upload more of these! :) This made me download the game and gonna go buy a ready made deck tommorow
This was very entertaining! You should totally do some more of these :D
Awesome video boogie I love watching TCG's

I want to see you play more of the Pokemon TCG Online. I think you did very well. But then agian ive never played the card game. Ive collected the cards since about 1998 or 1999.
hey boogie this was a really great video i had no clue about the game until now please make another one
Would love to see more of this kind of content sir.
I could probably watch you play and commentate on Pokémon TCG for hours Boogie.
Great video! You should upload more of this ;)
i would really love to see you stream this game! Atleast put more TCG gameplay on your youtube channel, i really enjoyed this! :)
nice vid boogie. never understood pokemon tcg but it makes a bit of sense now. you should play sun and moon when it comes out!!
This game is so much fun, thanks for introducing it into my life!
Great video. I want to see more videos of the online tcg.
Love you boogie! We need more of these videos btw!

Boogie make some more of these videos!! The game seems fun
I really enjoyed this video Boogie. I just subbed to your channel and also just got into pokemon and the tcgo. Hope to see more pokemon vids in the future :)
You got into Pokemon because of Pokemon Go didn't you? I'm just curious.
+avirx8 I got back into pokemon because of Go, but I first started to play when diamond came out.
David Palacios
Ah OK. Just wondering. I've been into Pokemon since the beginning when Red & Blue came out.
Thank you so much! Started with a few cards because of Pokemon Go and now am doing the online game.
sycamore or juniper are staples in every deck. heavy draw power and energy acceleration is not a uncommon thing in this tcg. one thing i noticed, and as a disclamer i dont have an amazing deck, but when I play a high level person and i start to pick up on the types of different decks out there, the game almost becomes like a chess game. You gotta anticipate what your opponent will do and what you will do in responce to that. and of corse there is always the RNG factor, where the card(s) you need may be prized and there is no way to search for them, or draw them at all. I think the whole prize system in this game is what really makes things interesting.
always collected the cards, yet never understood it. Thanks for this vid
I wouldn't mind if you started making videos playing Pokemon TCG Online. I would watch that :)
Boogie! Will you ever have a video on Pokemon Deck building? I have been out of the TCG scene for a long while and there are so much more mechanics involved. I don't want to net deck but watching you pull cards you know by looking at them if they are good or not. That's what I would like to learn.
Love what you do man, Love this game I Play every day, I subscribed so I can Get more Boogie, Thanks!
Boogie in case you didn't know if you complete the tutorial you will be rewarded with the basic yellow theme deck
Versus is actually profitable boog dont be scared man your great!
I never comment. Broke that rule to ask. Boogie please play more Pokemon TGC. Really enjoyed this. Cheers.
Boogie, channels like ABluegolfball have amazing deck strategies!
Im subscribing and liking before even 1 minute in the video. You look very nice 😊
I would like to see more of this actually :D
Keep up the good work Boogie!
God i have to start waking up early so i could catch you streaming this, maybe even join a couple of matches? ;)
I cant wait for when I am at school so I can watch you stream lol.
I haven't played TGC in years! You make me wanna hop back on, lol. Hope to battle you one day lol.
I think you did very good against one of the most annoying meta decks , the good news is that seismitoad is finally going down in september
Boogie, it would be cool to see you play more.
i have been collecting pokemon and didnt know about this. gonna go play it later
you should keep uploading this. the game is pretty interesting
