    I like the idea of a shoe that's life style appropriate and you can just run in it as well, not something I've thought about before. Good review.

    Great review as always, even though I couldn't believe what I saw at 06:12, I had to pause and check if I misread or something, I mean, that is not what I expect to see when I hear "easy run", really impressive stats.

    I had the ultraboost 4.0 and had issue with stability during runs especially when changing direction etc. I did not have these issues with the Solar Boost 19. How does it fare compared to the two shoes?

    Question will a heavy runner benefit from this as a Max cushion shoe?

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  3 роки тому +2

      Hi, it’s a good shoe for heavy runners but worth noting it’s not soft and cushy despite the high stack, it’s reasonably firm ride, bur still very comfy.

  • @runningwithstelvio
    @runningwithstelvio 3 роки тому +2

    They look so weird, thin in the forefoot and with that huge amount of Boost foam on the heel (which is even heavier than Lightstrike foam). Is it really comfortable? I like low stack height shoes as you can see from my videos and the price is always growing, I mean I know this shoe has a great success story but the price cannot grow that much especially for such kind of shoe for stability and heavy, it is ridiculous if you think the cost of production of these shoes... Anyway, thanks for your video, appreciated!

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  3 роки тому +2

      It's an odd look and not one I love myself, but then I'm sure it's cool in a way I don't understand haha. The price is definitely high for what is really a workhorse trainer. I guess the bonus of it being a nice shoe to wear in general does factor in to that cost though.

    • @areksoo
      @areksoo 3 роки тому +2

      Your foot rest well inside the stack of boost in the heel. The height of the Boost under your feet is the same as the UB19 and 20. They just added more Boost to around your heal and made it much harder.

  • @areksoo
    @areksoo 3 роки тому +2

    I like the aesthetic changes, but don't like that the this shoe is much stiffer than previous UB. I like UB because of that squishy foam. Owning 10 pairs of UB, I expect the that squishy foam. Why did they have to make these so stiff? Also with the heal slippage, the only running I'm going to be doing in that shoe is for errands. I've already ordered a pair on Nike Invincible.

      I agree. I literally ran to the ground a pair of 1.0’s. Bought these ran a 5k and was terribly disappointed in the ride.

    Choosing a shoe...for function/performance usually takes presidance these days. As I see many serious runnings wearing dhoes with colour ways that are (for me) too feminine or child-like. Too many with dayGLO pastel colours. Some have the tech we want. But look a bit too "fruity". Had the HOKA come with a black tread and in more masc colours (e.g. grey/navy blue/black tread...can get that with Nike if you custom order build a shoe..which I might do with their Pegasus 38).
    This Adidas U21... looks wise...might appeal to more guys. A kind of white-/grey upper with the Adidas black stripes. . If only they used more Continental black tread on the entire bottom/tread. Not just bits at the front.
    I'm not a runner so spending $250 CDN on a "running shoe" for mostly walking/sprinting with my dog...kind of overkill and a waste. So at most a Nike Pegasus 38 for me. It would be a everyday shoe too.

    I don't get it.
    You said easy pace. running at 4:09 and did HM in 1 hr 30 mins.
    In my terms easy pace is "conversation pace" and basically at 6:00 average.
    You really have cold heart beat at 133 while my heart goes boom boom at 180 bpm.
    Those stats at 6:13 is crazy speed.
    Love the review though. In India Adidas UltraBoost 21 is costing nearly $250

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  3 роки тому +2

    I don't get why they're claiming that these shoes are made of recycled materials YET cost a lot of 💰💰💰🤔🤔🤔

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  3 роки тому

      Hi Antonio, unfortunately the processes involved in using recycled materials often aren't cheaper or easier than using brand new virgin plastics. This is really why the world is increasingly overloaded with cheap plastics. So recycled doesn't mean cheaper in most cases.

    • @antondcmd
      @antondcmd 3 роки тому

      @@TheRunTesters Thanks. A little counter-intuitive don't you think? Recycled products costing a lot more... people end up not buying these, creating a lot of overstock...leading to more plastics being wasted since they're not 100% recyclable. Restarting the vicious cycle.

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  3 роки тому

      @@antondcmd We'd predict that these will still sell in large numbers even at that (surprisingly) high price and waste from overstocking isn't really the issue. It does raise questions about whether companies have a duty to cut profits to be catalysts for real change. It'd certainly be a bold move to sell these at a deliberately competitive price to drive consumers to a 'greener' option. But then, capitalism. The fact is most brands making environmentally sound products are selling at a premium. Some of that is due to more expensive R&D and manufacturing. Some of that is no doubt because those inclined to buy them probably have more spending power.
