It worked!! I watched this video then went outside, dug a small hole in one of the tunnel mounds and stuck a water hose in it (in the direction of the tunnel hole) and around 2-3 mins later about 3 feet away there was movement at the top of the tunnel. I got a shovel and dug the mole up in one scoop. I repeated the water hose process in several locations through out the yard but did not see any more activity. My husky is the same way! I’ve seen him look at the grass where there is no apparent sign of anything going on, and he’ll start digging and catch Thompson moles (the biggest there are,I hear) . He doesn’t eat them like he does the rabbits he catches, but just kills them.
I discovered how to make them leave my yard for good and go live in your yard instead. Dolomite Lime costs less than 10 bucks for 50 pounds . just sprinkle it on the grass , raises the PH makes the grass grow bright green but them moles don't like it on their skin , itchy

I've gone through all the b..s..that doesn't work. I Now I am interested only what works . The best thing I have had going yet, is take a 3 or 4 tines hay fork, & l Slam the tines straight down into their tunnel, & slowly keep moving along & keep slamming the tines into the ground till you have covered the length of the run. I won't say it is 100%, but better than spending lots of money on all the gimmicks that do nothing...Good luck my friends!..The Country Cow Boy!
I stopped counting at 12 moles last Summer .. Victor Plunger and Mole Trap 1001 are the two that worked for me .. stomp the trails, check back, trap the active trail, usually within the same day, one less mole .. I tried the flooding, and made tons of mud, and one angry wife .... I am glad that your method works, and will give it a try this year. My friend, they go 3-4 ft. deep! When you find a hill that’s been successful, keep a trap there until you catch another. If you do, continue to keep trap there for months. You’ve found the main run, or “ honey hole”! If rain settles in trap, lift up,& reset, as ground has become hardened, disabling quick set. Yes, I use sharpshooter shovel to loosen soil before setting trap. My preferred trap for this is a Nash snare double hoop trap. They’re difficult to learn to set,& design needs redoing, as they can hang up on themselves. A rat tail file,& prior drill reaming is cure however. Also pre paint hoops,& keep them sanded smooth. This works just like clockwork,& look at your trap VERY close, as will have a customer without notice!! Deep running moles are frustrating, but last year in Midwest, caught last one same hole on December 17; fact. No BS here, enjoy.

Fill holes with water and with a high voltage step up micro wave transformer electrocute them !!! It works on bad insects too!! Just protect yourself and reduce the main voltage in the primary
@@mjmoreton lol no!!! There should be a spark gap for the voltage to travels from hole to hole and all over the area underneath... I mean if you have a small surface it works!!! Electricity really kills mole crickets as the swim in wet soil!!! And even those who doesn't die they wouldn't stay a second in an electrified environment!!! They hate it!!! They can't even move they just shake and die!!!
I use spring loaded Victor Plunger style mole traps. Everything else is a waste of time & energy. They cost a few bucks but they're more than well worth it. Once you learn how to use them properly they are deadly. Very important once you trap the mole and pull the trap out of the ground make sure to leave the dead mole in the ground to rot. They don't like the smell of their decaying bodies. Yet another deterrent motivating them to move on out. I have a acre and a half of land with a 23000 square foot lawn which borders some woods. Trust me on this I've killed a ton of moles over the years.
My dad has always used sulfur and a propane weed burner to control moles, you clean the tops off every mole hill you can find without plugging them with dirt so there is optimal airflow between them all, then pour a half cup or so of sulfur into each hole. Once each hole has a pile of sulfur in it, take a propane weed burner and blast the hole for about a minute or two, then plug that hole with dirt. Move on to the next hole, rinse and repeat. The sulfur vapor collects on the walls of the tunnels and makes them unlivable for the mole which is immensely sensitive to smell. They usually don't come back for most of a year after the treatment, and once you do the bulk of it the upkeep is easy, as soon as you see a single mole hill you blast it good with sulfur and you won't see another one for months. Those smoke bombs are a joke, if they are the equivalent of firecrackers, the sulfur and torch method is a hand grenade.
I have to agree with your method. I started putting hash marks on my garage wall (6 or 7 over the years) using a method like yours. For me they were all done by finding a mound of dirt and digging down until I found the hollow/tunnel. I've heard/read in more than one place that this is dirt from it's nest/den. Then I turn on a hose full open stick it down in there and start flooding the system. Then watch for it to surface. Then good night mole. The only thing that I found that could beat that is a dog that would sit and watch for them and dig them up. A friend of mine from HS had a Doberman that would do that and they never had mole problems. They didn't even have to train it. Unfortunately that wonderful specimen has long since passed.
Absolutely brilliant video. This man has seen some things. The combat sandals at the end of the video let you know what kind of enemy you're up against. I Salute you, Sir.
I suggested to a friend to turn the sprinklers on for a few hours pound two steel rods into the ground clamp your welding leads crank up the amps and let er rip tater chip!
I’ve gone to our local auction for years and accumulated 37 mole traps in that time. Several different kinds and styles. Now, as soon as I see new mole evidence in my yard, I “saturation trap” them. I’ll set out 29 of my best traps and will catch him within an hour. Don’t buy the traps new if you do it this way as you’ll go broke.
I learned to tie down my traps with a CHAIN else they may move it down their tunnels and its lost. The first time I used a strong nylon string, they shewed it out so I upgraded to chain!
We had tried a number of the poison worms, smoke bombs, and other "home remedy" methods for removal. Deployed two Yard Dog spring scissor traps and within a day we had killed one HUGE mole.
I was paid $100 for the last mole I trapped. I suggest you use a mole trap made by Trapline Traps. I cleaned up an entire golf course using them. A more immediate, but labor intensive, method I developed is as follows. I drilled a 2" hole in the side of a 5 gallon bucket and attached a 2" PVC fitting that would accommodate a vacuum cleaner exhaust hose. Find a fresh mound, clean it out, place a smoker down it, and place the pail with the vacuum attached upside down over the hole. Sit on the pail and watch the smoke define the moles tunnels even when they're not visible before hand. You won't have to bother disposing of the mole.
I take a marker flag. The small 2ft orange flag and put a bell on it. Then I put it into a tunnel hole and wiggle it to make room. I then sit out back waiting for a bell sound then got dig em.up. they hit they bell a couple times trying to go around it/through it
I HOOKED UP A 2" HOSE FROM MY VANS EXHAUST TO THE HOLE AND COVERED IT UP. TURNED ON MY VAN AND GUNNED IT OFF AND ON RUNNING APPROX 3.500 RPM AND IN 15 MINUTES, EVERYTHING UNDER THE GROUND WAS DEAD DEAD DEAD THEY WERE PUT TO SLEEP AND STOPPED THEIR HEARTS!! GOT' EM!! AND IT ONLY COST ME SOME GAS REALLY AS I HAD THE HOSE!!!
The song at the end was perfect!! 😂I was just searching smoke bombs to kill my moles and your video came up. I have done some of your tactics! Some ahah
The best way to kill them is find the main tunnel, take a piece of the top of tunnel off and put 2 spring traps in it and cover it up again. Check it Every day and reset. Most yards only have 2 moles it them. Max 4 moles but normally just 1 or 2. This is what we do. I work for a large pest company
I have a big yard and the only way I ever got kills was what you said. I took garden hose and flooded their tunnels but by doing that they would come up out of holes or you can see where they are trying to tunnel away from water. I get them with shovel. I killed eleven of them one summer. Someone said there are only 2 to 4 per yard. Wrong I got 11 of them and there were more that I couldnt get. And they were back the next year. And I still have them. A .another way I got some was drove over the area back and forth and flattened the whole area ,the next day they would be working to reopen their tunnels and you can see rite where they are and shovel gets the kill. Good luck.
What I do is stomp down all of their tunnels then check back for repaired tunnels. This gives me an idea of what sector they're in out of the entire maze network.. I use the C shaped clamp traps and put them near an intersection. Usually works quite well. The trick is doing the traps correctly and making sure you cover up the entire trap with grass/dirt to prevent light from coming through.
Thanks for the video you Right I always catch the mole with the shovel Back in my country but I leave now in apartment I can't do a video to explain It is The best effective way , but let me Give you a tip how I did it You don't need a water , save ur water All you need is a Onion with the green leave open or slice it so you get the the smell he likes onion too much stick it in the entrance of a fresh trench but not all the way let the green leaves out so u can see when he pulls it then strike the shovel like a feet away toward the pulling direction . Pull the shovel with the dirt he should be out with the dirt. Try it it's effective the cost is an onion as bait ... I wish this way u post a video in the future....
I agree with your advice. Killing with a shovel is the ONLY tried and true method that's 100% effective. But just don't let them suffer, make it quick. I sharpen an old spade for that reason.
Why not using a emty beer bottle, digging it in so only the neck looks out and the wind makes a little noise, like you blowing over it, l use that for 50 years now and it works great
We had a Persian cat once that did a damn good job clearing all the moles (and mice) on our 3 acres.... She actually left their corpses on our back porch for us as "gifts".... A true hunting cat. They're not all like that.
Add a little dawn soap to each hole help blind them from escaping. I’ve even used a 5 gallon bucket and after putting in the water quickly place the jug into the hole. The gopher will run right into the jug.
I have had some luck with the worm bait, not working very well this year. I agree, what damage looks like a heard of the little guys seems to go away when you kill one of them.
OMG! Your thread on dogs who (successfully) hunt/kill moles just struck a nerve. “I” would buy such a dog breed! I NEED a “Moler”. - Is whatever sanctioned dog breeding association here aware that Americans NEED a “Moler” dog bred for this purpose! - I expect this Working dog would need to be a smaller, tenacious, energetic dog that, over generations, would develop sturdy digging front paws and a slightly longer and thinner snout (no, not Aardvarky) with good canines up front. - Who knows a dog breeder they could ask??
My brother had a Rat Terrier. Same thing. Ole' Max had a job that he loved and was proud to show his work. My brother would set gopher traps. They seldom caught anything, but they made a loud noise when tripped. Max would jump up, run to trap's area, listen, and dig 'em up! We'd reward him with praise and extra love. Most dogs want a job. Knowing that they're performing a valued or vital function gives them a "pride of place" in their lives and "It's just good!"
I use a rodenator, 97% oxygen 3% propane on the farms. I can make on the average 45 blast per hr. But about 1 out of 100 blast you check to see if you still have legs. I am sure it is killing some but we set traps after that. My understanding is about 4 moles per acre on the average. The females have 2 litters per year of 5 each litter. I don't think I will ever be finished with moles. They are hard on hay equipment.
Ammonia 1/2 cup added to dawn dish 1/4 cup an Epson salt 3 cups mix well with warm water 2 cups also prevents them. An it fertilizes your grass as well limits the grubs the moles also like to get. Add mint mouthwash lg bottle an 6 cans of stale beer to the mixture you will also have an awesome mosquito yard replenlent.
I’ve been battling moles in my yard since I moved here In 2006. For some reason thus winter they were ten times worse than usual and I’ve tried everything so now I’m gonna try one of those scissor traps.
Have I got a mole story for you. Being in the landscape business. I got a call from a regular customer to clean up the back yard in the autumn which meant to cut back some of the perennials. She has soft sandy soil all in the backyard, and the tunnels made by those moles are everywhere. I'm raking up the trimmings, and I see in the corner of my eye some underground movement. I figured they were moles, and they are a pest. always digging underground tunneling everywhere. So I stopped, and the mole is coming closer towards me. All the sudden it pops it's head up thru the grass. It's back is towards me, and I hear it say, "ummmmmm, I smell maple syrup!" What the hell? Next I see another lump in the ground in the same tunnel, and it's moving in the same direction of the first mole, and that mole pops up out of the same hole and I hear it say, "ummmmm, I smell honey!" Holy shit, two of them. I picked up my plastic rake, so it didn't feel the vibration coming from it, and I held my breath . Then I see still in the same tunnel, a smaller lump, another mole moving towards the other two. It got right underneath them both, and try as it might, it just couldn't squeeze thru the other two, and I heard it complain, "hey, all I smell is moleasses." True story.
I use Tom Cat worms. Gets them every time. Very easy to use and very efficient. Only have to use them about twice a year because my neighbor doesn’t give a shit about the moles and I get his.
Franko Blondee They are bait worms that look a lot like the rubber worms that one uses to fish with. You just poke a hole in the mole trail and drop the worm in. Then lightly cover the hole you made. I use two at a time spaced out several feet apart. One here, one there. Works every time. Look up Tomcat Mole Worms on Amazon.
The worms do work. But as you say you must locate their entry points. I roll them mole trails with a water filled garden roller! Sometimes I get lucky and I catch one on the trail, trying to push his way back up. Then I shovel wack em and dig them out!
Thanks for tips, no matter what i do they have tunneled to both my neighbors yards which are made of dirt and weeds, i just shot some castor oil with dishwashing soap down some holes, i doubt if it will work but i can't give up
The war is about to get real ugly over here. We are always counter flanking the enemy. I've learned so much from watching your videos, I'm going to modify on your technique and flood the tunnels with fuel and burn em out with the jet engines. Then when they come out burning... (JUST LET EM BURN!) Saving Private Ryan.
You are a crackup!!! Good job, great video, "40,000 gallons later" hahahaha, I'm in the same boat and will continue to fight with them..."I pumped chlorine gas, etc, etc,..."...thanks for the advice, you are too cool!!!
In the UK we have the profession of mole catcher. He sets his traps and bingo catches and kills the little blighters. No poisons no bangs just pure skill and knowledge. Good eh?, Until the moles come back of course!!!!
I’d like to sit and have a cold beer with this man someday lol we hear you brother I tried all the above as well smoke bombs-gas/exhaust - fire flooding road flares and a leaf blower and it never fails the next day boom fresh mound
The best traps are stainless steel and you wind the arming function then set it they work great I have tossed around fifteen metal steel painted traps in the scrap pile over the last three years because of rust.
Moles are a conspiracy to get us to buy lots of stuff. to kill them. They might go elsewhere for a time, but the generations return. A Dog I had growing up would dig all day, trying to follow varmint tunnels. Leave and come back in two hours, still digging.
Reminds me of Caddy shack ' haha Besides taking up your time , best methods I've tried are a piece of flex pipe off the tail pipe of my old Dodge , a mattock when you see em working , and a 20 gauge at close range ! happy Moling ! their tearing the S out of my yard & there's usually a dozen of em on my half acre lawn .
Flatten grass down come back an hour later and look for signs of moles return . Poke holes in new runs and pour a shot glass or more of Clorox into holes leave holes open so vapor will travel easier . Chlorine is HEAVER than air so it will sink to lowest part of tunnel and moles can’t out run the gas . Might have to do this a couple times , I haven’t .
I’ve had my most luck with the mole claw I engage the claw lock it always. Put down in hole stomp the dirt down around the claw cover with the dirt around the hole and cover with a non holed bucket the bucket attracts the mole because of the shade it provides a few days later the mole is caught. It does kill them though. Sometimes snaps them in half but it works. I live on 3 acres so water in the holes would take me years . I’ve tried that and it doesn’t work. Also my handy shot gun works if I’m really pissed at its destruction. My husband calls me the mole lady because I’m so good at using my claw method. You Dan purchase the he claw on Amazon or E bay try it it works
I've had pretty good luck with using a half stick of Juicy Fruit gum every 6 feet or so in their tracks... Love the thought of the little suckers dying of constipation.
I cannot find a tunnel digging where dirt mounds is they must have there tunnels 3-4 feet in the ground makes no sense I have tried poison pellets vinegar ECT they are immune to everything it seems.
Funny video. Seriously though, many mole traps work perfectly fine if set properly. I have about 4 different styles and use accordingly. Take the time and learn how to set them and your moles will disappear.
I work at a golf course and damn I wish I could just flood the greens and bring the little buggers out. Unfortunately I'm stuck just observing whenever I can while they tear our greens to pieces.
I've tried the method with water, problem is we have very sandy soil so the only thing I accomplished was wasting the proverbial 40,000 gallons of water. Trying the scissor traps next.
When i can access the bolt, cut the head off to expose the bolt. Use your WD or whatever. Gently Hammer it into its hole like a nail. Gently twist it with a vice grip. Has always been effective.
I've been able to drown them out 2 summers ago. Also last year I had a hose running in holes and two come up outa the ground and landed on my foot. Scared crap outa me. I've killed 2 in traps always had more back same summer so new ones move right in in. Been battling these assholes 6 7 years all summer every summer. There already taken to my yard this spring badly!!
Second time watching this very funny. I'm at my wits end with the moles I had one on the run yesterday with my excavator playing wack a mole thought I had him smashed then I lifted my bucket he ran off!!! I put out sonic spikes today if doesn't work I'm hooking up my old gmc truck and letting her rip.
12 Gauge works OK. Similar to what you are doing with the shovel. I've also had some luck with the victor "Out O'Sight" scissor style traps, although sometimes they will push a stick into them, smart rodents.
If you put something in your yard that kills all the bugs under the grass the moles will move on. A dry yard in the south keep bugs away from your yard. Remove their food source and they'll move on to greener pastures.
The power company says it is common to see their tunnels 4 feet deep where we are 50 miles north of ST. Paul MN. So like he says trying to flood them is normally out, and is hard to gas them I have had luck with piece of flex pipe on lawnmower muffler and stuck in hole wide open for several hours at a time. Or a good dog or at a last resort traps if you are good at it.
I'm having the same problem, but, I've sat out there for hours and never see one actually digging. They are also nocturnal and that's when they do most of the damage, but, I'm not a night person. Outside of a shotgun and night vision scope, I'm ready to give up. They are a pain in the ass.
@@BC5391 I have heard people recommend a pellet gun but it totally varies upon the situation.. I definitely find my pellet gun useful for squirrels and woodpeckers though
I used a mole trap, they are deadly and but they are hard to set. in fact I can't do it any more, the spring is hard to set. If you can set it they dowork.
Here they used to use carbide fromr carbide lamps putting it into holes in a container and poured water over it then covering the hole thus killing them with the gas forming aka acetilene gas and spreading through their tunnels its heavy so it moves down to the lowest point .displacing oxygen.

Sounds so easy… meanwhile I’m picturing throwing a mini hairdryer in the gopher hole…
I only have had trouble with one mole, and the Victor took care of him in one day. Everything else is a waste of time and money.
My blue tic heeler is very good at it. !! Rat terriers are naturals as well. Happy Hunting!
Love your video you get to the point. I have hundreds of Mole tunnels my lawn is finished. I want to rototill my whole yard.
Luv this man's video' he tells it as it is.
????????????
Your yard must glow at night !
Thanks, your the first guy that's ever gave me good advice. Will try water.
brother. Your videos are some of the absolute best I have seen. I love this channel. Cant wait to buy a burner from you
I take a marker flag.
I did same thing but with idling engine with an old garden hose taped to the muffler... 20mn later the CO2 did its magic. Peace was restored.
I tried a similar thing with a 2 cycle generator exhaust, not successful. I am willing to try again.
I love this. The cannon and the explosion, priceless,,,
Just put wild garlic around edges of property, moles will disappear. Natural repellent
The song at the end was perfect!! 😂I was just searching smoke bombs to kill my moles and your video came up. I have done some of your tactics! Some ahah
Yup the shove works. That’s the best way I found to get them. I have sandy soil here in Florida and it’s the only thing that works.
Good luck.
I had some moles setup shop by my foundations - the neighborhood cats found them, and 2 weeks later, ALL were gone.
Thanks for the video you Right
I always catch the mole with the shovel
Back in my country but I leave now in apartment I can't do a video to explain
It is The best effective way , but let me
Give you a tip how I did it
You don't need a water , save ur water
All you need is a Onion with the green leave open or slice it so you get the the smell he likes onion too much stick it in the entrance of a fresh trench but not all the way let the green leaves out so u can see when he pulls it then strike the shovel like a feet away toward the pulling direction . Pull the shovel with the dirt he should be out with the dirt. Try it it's effective the cost is an onion as bait ... I wish this way u post a video in the future....
Burry speakers, connect to some loud music and play. They gonna go away.... I mean your neighbors. As far as moles, forget it
Did the radio thing full blast for an entire week. The mole just made 3 times as many mounds it was so mad. Failure
I agree with your advice. Killing with a shovel is the ONLY tried and true method that's 100% effective. But just don't let them suffer, make it quick. I sharpen an old spade for that reason.
I agree , im not into killing animals but when they attack me like this im left with no choice
Why not using a emty beer bottle, digging it in so only the neck looks out and the wind makes a little noise, like you blowing over it, l use
that for 50 years now and it works great
Great idea , your comments are a gold mine , thanks to every body
I did have good luck with the worms. I was surprised but you have to locate the active runs.
You’re an inspiration. Thanks.
Have you ever used those traps that use a bit of bait and a bullet or shotgun shell? Those would be undoubtedly effective...
My two Jack Russell-Maltese dogs sniff them out and kill them, then bring them in the house to show their mom!
I would be generous with snacks and stuff if I could get a dog to do that! Put them on the payroll!
I have a jack Russel Chihuahua mix. Not enough Jack Russel in him. He tried to dig after my mole a couple times but he gave up. 😕
@@BigJnWorldWide then he wanted to go to taco bell
My brother had a Rat Terrier. Same thing. Ole' Max had a job that he loved and was proud to show his work. My brother would set gopher traps. They seldom caught anything, but they made a loud noise when tripped. Max would jump up, run to trap's area, listen, and dig 'em up! We'd reward him with praise and extra love. Most dogs want a job. Knowing that they're performing a valued or vital function gives them a "pride of place" in their lives and "It's just good!"
"Forgot about putting a garden back there" 😂 😂
Lol, this is right out of Caddyshack
This is the best video on UA-cam. Brother, I blew myself up and had to go to the hospital trying to kill moles. Not even joking.
was that with the molecat? My finger will never be the same!
That would be me soon...lol
It's back is towards me, and I hear it say, "ummmmmm, I smell maple syrup!"
What the hell?
You have to share the strain you're smokin brah...
Love it dude! Learning the UA-cam fudlore doesn't work!
To catch the mole, be the mole. Wax on; wax off.
The worms do work. But as you say you must locate their entry points. I roll them mole trails with a water filled garden roller! Sometimes I get lucky and I catch one on the trail, trying to push his way back up. Then I shovel wack em and dig them out!
Wiretek 1001 seems good but It's tough picking the right spot
Thanks for tips, no matter what i do they have tunneled to both my neighbors yards which are made of dirt and weeds, i just shot some castor oil with dishwashing soap down some holes, i doubt if it will work but i can't give up
From the front lines in the bunker. Moles can't hear us planning an attack.
LOL , your awesome , thanks for the laugh , its a serious event and thats why i take great humor in your comment
I had to pin this coment
Tonight, I wage war on this bastard! Flooded the holes earlier. Now it’s time to get slingblade it’s ass.
When you do that, please post a video. That'll definitely be a good one to watch.
I’ve been telling people this for years. Nothing beats a shovel LOL.
I need some kind of mole trebuchet. Set it amd wait. Mole finds trebuchet bait and all of a sudden FLING!!! Flying moles leaving my neighborhood!
Lamp oil gets them to come to the surface too, you will see the ground moving, I’m so sick of them!!
Good information, thanks for posting this video! 👍
I've had pretty good luck with using a half stick of Juicy Fruit gum every 6 feet or so in their tracks... Love the thought of the little suckers dying of constipation.
Have you tried one of those metal windmills? It's suppose to help get rid of gophers, it might help with moles.
well some honest people on youtube say they dont work , they call them mole chasers , but thanks for the input
I like where your head is. I was thinking an-tha-ax 😂😂😂. You are correct though the only way is with the shovel.
I cannot find a tunnel digging where dirt mounds is they must have there tunnels 3-4 feet in the ground makes no sense I have tried poison pellets vinegar ECT they are immune to everything it seems.
I have a Horrible Mole Issue!! Will try!
When you see a fresh hill grab my 410 shotgun wait for the dirt to move boom 💥 pat down the grave
This guy is GREAT!!!!
Funny video. Seriously though, many mole traps work perfectly fine if
set properly. I have about 4 different styles and use accordingly. Take the
time and learn how to set them and your moles will disappear.
My moles pushed the gopher gasser out of the tunnel. I am getting ready to go full Caddy Shack on them.
Moles live on earthworms and grub worms. Get a pesticide for the grubs and once they are gone, the moles will leave.
When i can access the bolt, cut the head off to expose the bolt. Use your WD or whatever. Gently Hammer it into its hole like a nail. Gently twist it with a vice grip. Has always been effective.
I watched a guy used “Juicy Fruit Gum”
Im
Preparing for my war on moles here in the uk , il let you know if that method Acctually works
Been doing it that way for years, works every time, now if you know how to get rid of voles I would like to know.
rofl
Second time watching this very funny. I'm at my wits end with the moles I had one on the run yesterday with my excavator playing wack a mole thought I had him smashed then I lifted my bucket he ran off!!! I put out sonic spikes today if doesn't work I'm hooking up my old gmc truck and letting her rip.
12 Gauge works OK. Similar to what you are doing with the shovel. I've also had some luck with the victor "Out O'Sight" scissor style traps, although sometimes they will push a stick into them, smart rodents.
Tim Attwood 410 doesn’t tear up the yard as bad
If you put something in your yard that kills all the bugs under the grass the moles will move on. A dry yard in the south keep bugs away from your yard. Remove their food source and they'll move on to greener pastures.
Use a a garden fork....very satisfying.
Ditto, I have the same problem. They only seem to dig after 8 ;30 pm until dawn. So I sit up with a flashlight to see them digging.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the king of the wack-a-mole😄😁😅
I've found it a lot more fun to sit back with a can of beer and a pellet gun, 1 shot 1 kill
Oh you mean you sit and stare at a hole until he comes out, then take the time to aim at him just feet in front of you?
That’s silly.. lmao
@@austinwhite5312 Time goes quick with a six pack by your side, 5 acres, gophers everywhere, you do not need to wait long for one to pop his head out.
@@BC5391 interesting! I guess on your scale it makes sense for fun. Hunting down 1 or 2 not so much 😄
@@BC5391 I have heard people recommend a pellet gun but it totally varies upon the situation.. I definitely find my pellet gun useful for squirrels and woodpeckers though
Mole cricket problems!?
My dogs do as much damage to my lawn digging them up.
if I added fertilizer to the water, would that help? wife won't let me put propane in tunnel and spark it up..
Hello everybody it there somebody could tell me how come we got moles like that please Jacques Rockland Ontario
I used a mole trap, they are deadly and but they are hard to set. in fact I can't do it any more, the spring is hard to set. If you can set it they dowork.
Well I'm late to the party but you tell it like it is. Guess I'm getting the hose and shovel lol
Years ago that is what my dad taught me use a hose. And watch and dig them out. Sometime they come out from the water only. The only sure way.
Here they used to use carbide fromr carbide lamps putting it into holes in a container and poured water over it then covering the hole thus killing them with the gas forming aka acetilene gas and spreading through their tunnels its heavy so it moves down to the lowest point .displacing oxygen.
