My dad used to say that going from rags to riches in a hurry means two things. He got the lottery numbers right or he’s doing something wrong very right.
you aint wrong. I used to be friends with a guy and he wouldnt ever try anything besides selling weed. Which i didnt blame him for it hell he almost had a million by the time he was maybe a year out of high school. He had some good connections i guess and theyd fly in from texas and bring him a few hundred pounds a month all fronted to him. But he got caught a couple times. And every single time he got out of jail or prison and had to start over again the dude had a few hundred grand new car, new truck and house within just a few months of being out. That easy money once you learn to get it is really hard to walk away from.
@@65stang98 Yeah I hear you about easy money I don’t do anything illegal but when you’re working in the service industry making two to $300 a day in tips it’s very hard to find another job Most people I know make $400 to 600 a week after their paycheck Because of my hustle and how hard and fast I can move I make that every two days
@@bluecollarnobody4217 yeah serving industry is good money if you are at a nice and busy place. Esp if you can get on one of those really fancy places once you have enough experience
Great story. I met a friend for lunch about 15 years ago, who was just about to retire and had invested a million and a half dollars in a real estate trust that was paying a 9 percent dividend. Unfortunately lol , I couldn't invest, as they were only soliciting million dollar contributions. When the economy collapsed in 2009 and people needed their contributions, the scheme collapsed. My friend is still working. If something sounds to good to be true , it usually is ! Thanks Rob !
Rob, I've got a true story for you. I went into Sid Porter Pontiac, Mercedes Benz, and Izuzu in Augusta Maine (now closed) to look at a Pontiac Bonneville SSE on a Saturday afternoon. I took it on a short test drive, gave them my keys, and signed a credit app. I had great credit, loved the Bonneville SSE, and it being late on Saturday, I didn't want to keep people there to negotiate and said I'd be back Monday and I was going to come back. They locked me in the sales room, and I tried to talk them into opening the door, and they said once you buy the car. I picked up a chair and said if the door isn't unlocked in 30 seconds, they'll need to call a glass company to replace one of the showroom windows. The door was unlocked, and then I realized they had my keys, which they didn't want to give me. After a lot of name calling, they threw my keys on the roof of the dealership. I had a bag cell phone in my car which they had left unlocked, so I call the police who show up and 1 of the officer's tell the GM that if they don't get my keys, some people will be going to jail. They quickly got a ladder, and the officer told me they had done this before!! That's how to blow a sale and one of the employees had the balls to call me Monday morning. I ended up buying a Buick Regal Grand Sport, which was a nice car and had the great 3800 engine, but was not anywhere equal to the Bonneville. Rob, feel free to tell the story on VinWiki. Reach out if you want more information. Happy New Year, everyone.
He does 2 years. Meanwhile I have clients (Indiana) that have 5 grams of methamphetamine, and they are facing way more than that. Not people out there selling it. I’m talking homeless people with a serious addiction. They get more time than Mr. White Collar Crime. Life ain’t fair.
Mom got involved in a scheme selling long distance phone cards when I was in Jr high. I sniffed out the problems with it right away. Dad let her use a couple hundred to get started, and she learned in a couple weeks what I tried telling her in the beginning.
That is wild. A lot of people out there looking for that quick buck, and they don’t care who they have to take it from to get it. Nice little reminder to everyone that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Appreciate the video.
That's interesting I've known a couple people who had been to prison and they said it wasn't too bad. They acted like it wouldn't hurt their feelings if they went back.
Ponzi schemes simply require a cash investment to earn returns. Pyramid schemes need you to pay a fee and/or purchase products and services in order to participate and then required to bring in more people to the scheme
BRAVO!!! I have always said (many years in the auto business) that after high school you should spend 2 years IN the auto business. That would be "THE" education!!!!
Hey Rob, I found out some information that was recently unearthed that may affect the classic car hobby, specifically TV/Movie cars. The vin#’s for 7 actual Fall Guy trucks and a few A Team Vans were found along with what happened to them after the shows were canceled. The company that did product placement in TV shows gave a Knight Rider superfan an old computer and a list of the vin#’s were found in the computer and the guy ran Carfax reports for the trucks. 5 of the 7 trucks are still registered as recent as 2020. He won’t release the vin#’s but I feel in time these trucks will be made public. What do you think? Would love to get your take on this situation. I have a Fall Guy replica truck. Would love to have a real one but at least see these trucks saved. Hope to hear from you. Take care brother 👍👍👍
I had one of the payday businesses littering my road last year. I called their number and complained. They called the litter “driveway drops” and told me it was legal. I told them I considered the “ditch drops” and demanded that they clean up my road of their litter. When I find their scratch pads and ink pens, i drop them in the trash cans.
The worst part is if the kid had actually just used the money to buy gpu's and later asic miners it would have worked out and it did only go up from there. He screwed himself.

I inherited some money and invested it in real estate now I'm well off. You'd never know it though. I still drive the same car I did when I was living pay check to pay check.
I'd be willing to bet the majority of convicted white-collar criminals are still doing better than most of us, even after prison. I know this is the USA, and you don't want to see people living on the street, but apparently, Karma isn't real. Otherwise, it wouldn't let them be better off after the fact. 🙄
"...into this crypto mining factory whateverthefuck it was" "I've got a PHD in fuckin crookery" haha I love when people talk like this, it just sounds more genuine.
I have an idea that Rob (who is going to make money on you, but he's in business to make money) will stand behind his cars on the power train and any major problem within a reasonable amount of time?
If that dude had just invested half of what he was scamming people out of into cryptocurrency at like $90 a coin back then to $69,000 a coin in late 2020 he'd have made some hellacious money and still been able to pay everyone back and kept his ass out of jail
I do multilevel marketing (Amway) it sad a lot of people think it's a pyramid scheme but it's not. I'm making a living by helping other people get theirs too.
The kid's main problem was, that his scheme was too small. Never forget if you owe the bank a little money, then YOU have a problem. But if you owe the bank a sh*t ton of money... then the bank has a problem and it'll try very hard working WITH you.

What a fool.. should bought Bitcoin at 20kish and he could've sold at 50-65k and would've turned 1.5m into 4.2m and could've just gave back the full investment saying it fell apart no harm no foul and been rich and on decent terms with everyone
