My plants are growing great. I planted them Aug 12. NH it's been coolish. I am not seeing head's yet and the plants look great. Should I get potash. I did use bonemeal. Any thoughts?

Potassium generally sticks around in the soil so I wouldn’t indiscriminately use Potash unless you know you are deficient. If they are growing well, which it sounds like they are, I would stay the course!

Do you have any issues with broccoli worms, or do anything to prevent them?

We do! But we have a good system to prevent them: our broccoli is always covered so they cabbage moths can't get to them. If it's cold in early spring they are covered with a breathable frost cloth, as the weather warms they are covered with insect netting. When it gets hot we also add shade cloth to the top. I've found a physical barrier is the best way!

Hi Peter, I'm in 5b and have a week of 70s coming up this week. Can I just start my seedlings outside in trays????? Thanks for this great information!
