Truly, I agree completely- everything she said made such a difference even the small step backs and lunges...it made it all the more cohesive and passionate. I loved the “look after her, not for her.” Gorgeous. And effective.
Still giving all of her effort to pass on the cherished art of ballet and art of Balanchine. Suzanne Farrell is a national treausure, and a world-wide one. She speaks so beautifully in interview. She so painstakingly guides the dancers. The female dancer has very, very pretty technique but she leaves me unaffected. It would be so great if she could employ more sweep or emotion in her dancing. I felt she wasnt totally getting it or taking in what Ms. Farrell was trying to tell her. She seemed a little oblivious at times. The male dancer was very good from the little bit that he did. He did lovely and strong partnering and was so tuned in and he has a beautiful physique, strong and delineated and a refined carriage. The Gounod Symphony performance should have been taped. People will still go to the theater live. But these performances need too be documented in full from beginning to end and preserved. A deep thank you to Ms. Farrell for all that you have done for ballet and for Balanchine. Your autobiography is one of my favorite books and i go to it many times just for inspiration. Thank you for all of your great and ceaseless efforts
As for the dancers, this is a coaching, not a performance. They are listening to her and trying to incorporate her teaching, so of course they aren’t projecting emotion as much as they might.
Watching her teach is a balm to the soul - so much knowledge and passion. But she will never return to the City Ballet. They've moved on, in a different direction. I think she can do more outside the cathedral.
Suzanne Farrell is a wonderful teacher. She catches all the nuances. She has great musicality. The score for this ballet is beautiful.

A wonderfully illuminating rehearsal. Suzanne Farrell a treasure.
Thank you Suzanne Farrell.
so beautiful to watch her pass her knowledge. and choreography so nice.. watching her dance i could tell she would be a generous coach :-)
Exquisite dancing. I could watch this all day. And for a Muse, Farrell is so natural and unaffected. A lot of love going on.
Ballet mastering and coaching at its best.
Thank you so much! I love to see that this ballet is once again being performed. The patterns are lovely.
Dancer's are so lucky to have Suzanne teach them. I like how she gives them directions. Awesome!
A great dancer and a great teacher!♥️
Suzanne is a phenomenal teacher
Suzanne Farrell understands Balanchine. I am not sure that anyone else ever did but she does.
Beautiful ❤
She's intriguing.
Perfect!

Brenda Anne Du Faur Her autobiography has been such an inspiration for me too. It's a mess from so many times read.
I feel the same way as the original commenter!

It's such a mystery and a shame why Peter Martin's fired her and why shes ignored by the board of NYCB to impart to the company.
survey the kingdom ...
does Suzanne have a dress code for her company rehersals?
Это та Фаррелл что у Баланчича танцевала?
She is a wealth of knowledge.
awesome!

Who is the male dancer?
What ballet is this?
who are principal dancers here?
Contrapuntalist I know that the female principal is Allynne Noelle
Marvelous. Great privilege.
Tommy Garrett = scorching hot
The soloist does not look like she is in good health ...
this is wrong, the dancers aren't crying from pain nor stress
...what?
