- This video highlights the risk of helicopter downdraft which is present when an aircraft is in close proximity to an installation. Downdraft exposure areas are explained along with procedures the installation can implement to mitigate the risk of approaching and departing helicopters.
Very interesting video. It may be interesting to also represent the danger of the recirculation inside the main rotor when getting close to obstacles : the potential ingestion by the rotor of unsufficiently rigged equipment who would be lifted by the rotorwash, and then sucked by the upper part of the downstream. I'm referring to this tragic AS350B3 accident on a ship off coast Norway in May of 2017.

A fine video, and a very worthy safety topic, well handled. One note: The wind is a by-product of the lift needed to fly, the downwash is nearly nil when the helicopter has fully landed and the crew has put the collective pitch fully down. Pilots call this condition "flat pitch." The video shows significant wind during such conditions.
Nice job on the video it's happened to me several times the connection between the ground crew and the pilot critical, what happens nobody's on the radio or there's nobody around

So this is just a series of fancy animations about how BP has screwed up the safety of their workers.
Looks like a training video explaining how downwash works. That's BP educating workers to make them and their colleagues safer.
These guys puts so much effort in publicity content with so little recognition... it can't be all for internal use. Looks like it's more legality stuff
