How is this used to determine exactly where you need to go to though ? Let`s say i`m at point A and i want to go at point B. How does it help me knowing where West is or any other direction ? Because if i go west but i`m not aligned towards that point B i will still keep going west generally but i won`t end up reaching my destination. In fact point B at some point will be behind my back and i`ll end up going miles without finding it. I have a lensatic compass for reference.

Could you do a video how find you way back to your srating point for example your car or camp the reason I'm asking my wife and I went out a few years back to a hike went most weekends we were so confident we new the place like the back of our hand we didn't even take the mobile phone only this time it started heavy snow and covered all the paths everything looked so different adventuly we got back to the car we got a bit of a fright that day
Two things you did wrong, one when using the compass put the string around your wrist not your neck that is for carry only. Nest get out in a open place to do your demo. Trying to teach navigation from a fenced in area just looks stupid. Now research the Paul method for using a compass without a map. I did not say this to offend you just to help you.

I do not have a compass with a needle where to put the red one in. So I do not know how to use my compass😂 Do you know how to work one like mine?
