    Reduce the different scenes per minute ratio. Your target audience is tik tok proof and have an attention span.

    I feel this video needs a photosensitive epilepsy warning.

    You can't build cities from mud. Mud has a height limit of 1 story. If you combine it with wood you reach 3 stories (trust me where I come from we have been building with mud and wood for centuries). Cities without steel and concrete aren't possible.
    I get it climate change is an important topic, but public communicators have to stay truthful on both sides of the discussion. Else we won't find and implement real solutions.

      New rule: anyone who acknowledges "climate change is an important topic" should present a solutions of their own, or else no one should take them seriously.

    How did this video get approved? It's pointless.

      Why is this pointless? I don't get your reasoning? His argument is to find low tech solutions that can save everybody and promote them everywhere. More than 90% of the worlds built environment has not been constructed yet. And the only thing people seem to know about or care about is concrete. Cement production and its use accounts for up to 8% of global Green house gas emissions. So yeah let's glamorize mud and bamboo and promote sh*t out of it. Billions are giving up native traditional materials to follow Western building styles to the eventual detriment of everyone. Why not show interest in making the Low Tech popular.

    Are these videos geared towards teenagers?

    • @delta6335
      @delta6335 Рік тому +3

      Yes. the video presents "nice-nice solutions" that appeal to well intended (but uninformed) young people who haven't built anything even remotely close to dwelling, who are captivated by solutions such as a living bridge (fig tree!-awesome) that would never get (and shouldn't get) a building permit. None of this is scalable for high density cities.

    Look at this tree bridge! It's making its way to the west! No you can't see an example!

    What exactly was the point of this video? I put it to you, that the point of this video is to actually LOOK AWAY from the places it featured. It's point is to say "they've got it covered - don't worry about them, go about OUR business."

    What is the point of this video? you did not really explain anything and ended up trying to save it with cheap editing tricks.

    It is no use speaking with hindsight or
    feeling regret.
    We Buddhist practitioners must come to
    terms with reality and discover our own flaws
    and shortcomings by reflecting on those of others;
    Understand the workings of karma, and
    emulate Bodhisattvas who fear causes, but
    not sentient beings who fear consequences.

    You can save a city by drastically shrinking its govt & when thats done you shrink it again

    The expansion is occurring in the southern hemisphere, yet they are not at fault. Rich countries are to blame: These include, Australia (rich, one of the worst polluters per capita, and biggest producer of coal), New Zealand (rich), Brazil (who's removing the Amazon Rainforest) and Argentina 🇦🇷 (an earlier big exporter of oil). Are these to blame? Victims? Both?

    Building cities that can save us all is the right idea. The next step is for people to start to come to terms with even more devastating existential threats to civilisation and most life on Earth and solve them at the same time as adapting to climate change. Earth's 6,000 year and 12,000 year catastrophe cycle for example, (there is much evidence from many fields of science but it is still considered fringe science by mainstream) is caused by the sun being triggered to solar micronova (it's crust and atmosphere change chemistry, going through 4 phases and colours synonymous to the 4 horseman of the apocalypse and eventually it shed's it's outer layers in all directions) by the galactic current sheet, and integrate that into the design of these cities.
    Subterranean city components are essential for when the Earth is hit by immense heat, micro meteors and changes its axis causing oceans to wash over the planet after the part of the Earth's surface is scorched. Any cities that fail to build safe subterranean sectors and plan for re-emergence a few months to years later, will be destroyed. It's looking like this is going to occur within the next 3 solar sunspot maximum cycles. Hopefully it's not cycle 25 (due to peak in July 2025) or cycle 26 (due to peak in 2036).
    Even if we get a 1 in 200 year solar storm like the Carrington Event, most of the planet's power infrastructure and communications networks will be destroyed. I know it's an extreme view, but the Earth is in a powerful Universe and our Star wanders through the Galaxy interacting with other stars and waves of extreme energy flow from region to region in the heavens all the time. We have been very lucky to have such a calm era to evolve to the computer age and comprehend the larger celestial mechanics involved.
    I will be working on this challenge via Aura of Intelligence and a Global Association for Joyful Responsible Abundance on Earth to build artificial general intelligence in support of solving these and other existential threats to life on Earth. For comprehensive videos on the Earth Catastrophe Cycle and Solar Micronova do a quick search. We either become a Kardashev Type II civilisation and learn to control the sun or we bunker down. I'm not interested in giving up and dying.
