- This video is about cooking food that is simple, easy, while healthy. There is a little bit of an upfront investment but I think it is more than worth it. I will cook this once a semester and have food for roughly 3 months.
Recipe for 1 standard-size crock pot:
- 3 lbs. of ground beef
- 1 and 3/4 Cups of lentils
- 5 and 1/4 Cups of water
- 3/4 Cups of Plain Greek Yogurt or 1 serving
- 1/2 cup of peanut butter (or other nut butter)
- Drizzle of Olive Oil
- Add ins:

- 1 zucchini
- 1 onion
- 7 tbs of minced garlic
- 3.5 tbs of ginger paste
- A few mushrooms
- 1 can of tomatoes

- Spices:
- 7 tsp. curry powder
- 7 tsp. of smoked paprika
- 3.5 tsp. of cinnamon

It may not look very appealing, but it's nutritious, simple, and time-saving. Kudos!
JFC i thought my college meals were rough, but you take the cake homie. At least youre enjoying your meal.
Im not even a boomer I college graduated 2016. Wishing you the best of luck on your future goals!
looks ruff
The spiced peanut butter meat and veggie slop has a like a cold autumns night soup vibe, i can see the vision.
Please, brown your meat first, it will do so much for the texture and taste. I guarantee more people would be willing to eat it again after trying it if you did haha.
This is kind of incredible for 3 months worth of food wow
I personally like cooking but i know a lot of ppl who would benefit from this practical and cheap mindset.
Very few people have this much kitchen/freezer space.
based
Hellooo from England, how much did this cost you? Just interested and this 'meat mush' looks very hearty. I would keep some veggies in it though, more like a casserole or something :) If you also had a little bit more time you could use it as a base for a single serving of cottage or shepards pie and just add things :)
Yooooo! The total cost was about $200 for all of the ingredients. I did have some spices and things already but if you’re buying everything new, I would assume abt $225. If you put the mush over rice that’s pennies a serving.
Per serving you’re looking at $3.33 to $3.50.
I hadn’t thought of using it as a base or something else! I will most certainly try that in the future with a serving or two when I have some more time. Thank you for the idea! I’ll make a video if I try it
Looks so haggard, but probably tasty. Can't beat the price.
There was a hige lump of meat in that first one
I get it from the video, you freeze it raw and from there straight to the microwave? How much time do you cook it for?
I cook it in the crockpot or the pans for 5 to 6 hours. After it’s cooked, I put it in the bags and then freeze it. So it is cooked when I thaw it out in the microwave.
Omg. You're the guy. You're the guy who has the glass of milk with his dinner. That aside though, cool video, insanely practical. Im sure it will inspire some people who struggle with figuring out what to eat.
I have a buddy who has a glass of milk with just about every meal- even sour gummy worms
wtf
Looks like dog food but if my dog ate that, she'd be eating good.
wow,
peanut butter, cinnamon, ginger, ground beef, cumin, sauerkraut?
you literally took everything in your fridge and pantry, blended it, and threw it into a tub.
honestly, I cook regularly.
and while it is a huge pain in the ass, the prep, the cooking, the cleaning pans and dishes.
I still would rather do that then mush and rice every day.
Please, just get yourself an air fryer, you'll thank me later.
Every day we stray further from God's light.
