Great video! Please do more like this going forward so I can convince myself that I need that digital microscope! I just sent this link to a buddy on facebook who is a jeweler and has been looking for something like this for a while. Thanks for all you do for us!
He did the solder paste juuussst right. I like the way the diode slipped into place. The tweezers were way more nimble than on a previous video, the other guy used huge tweezers and way too much solder paste.
Hey buddy, I'm assuming by your name your a Tampa boy as I am to which got me watching your vids for some repairs I'm doing, I have no formal training so I use these vids to learn, right now I'm replacing a tcon board on my Samsung so I'm going to use the old board for some practice work, I have the whitewash screen so my research tells me I need to replace the AS15-F chip, do you have a vid on doing these kind of replacements and what is the best brand chip to buy, thanks in advance for any advice and keep up the awesome videos.
Can you direct me to a course i can take that will teach me some or all of the things you know? I prefer a more hands on course rather than a course that have you sitting in a classroom studying theory for the whole duration.
They also make a very nice metal stand which will serve you better ,for about 17.00 on bang good ,I have the same one with the metal stand ,they just came out with a five mega pixel right after I bought mine ,oh well best of luck with yours
Tampatec, you do nice videos. I have really enjoyed watching them. Thanks for the good work you've done. I looked for your Fluke 12; however, they don''t make that model any more so, what Fluke model can I look for. I noticed you have a new one in the background, which one is that? Sincerely, John.
Hi, I have a question about solder paste. I remember long time ago I had build a xoxbox synthesizer and used flux paste that caused some problems with the synth drifting in and out. I couldn't figure it out as all components were properly mounted but after cleaning the board couple of times this issue was fixed so I figured that the flux must had caused some resistance between the connections. Now my question is which flux or solder paste should be used with electronic soldering. I have Oatey no.5 (the only flux paste I could find around where I live) I gotta felling that the reason for my vintage Amiga 600 motherboard is behaving weird after a smd re-cap is due to this Oatey no.5 lead tree solder paste as it might be designed for pipe soldering rather than for electronics. Could this case the problem? I know that some of that paste got under the capacitors so not sure how to clean it or even is it safe to leave it there? Thank you, great video!
Stephen Fernandez depends if the screen cost and shipping cost. the bigger the screen more expensive and more shipping cost also there's risk damaging the screen.
The video was nice, but I'd love to see you promoting healthy working conditions for yourself and use even a basic fume extractor. See Louis Rossmann's channel RossmannGroup where he goes into why you should use one. (He empties the filter after one month of shop use and the crap in there was not fit for your lungs).
dude , get yourself a decent desoldering station . trying to clean SMD pads with braid is a pain in the neck and not great. i put flux on SMD pads i want to clean and use the desoldering sucker of the desoldering station and get really clean pads.

Thank you so much , I highly appreciate you being generous and imparting the precious knowledge to the fellow engineers.
Thanks. I placed an order for the same scope earlier today. It's going to make my life so much easier.

The seating of the diode after heating was magical. Felt like a kid again. ; )
Amazing video....please what is the name of this small hot air tool?
Wow, I great tutorial, simple, clear, concise and useful.
Thank you Sir good idea I love this post
Thanks for sharing and one question please what is the maximum distance between the lens and the pcb ?
I'll have to check that out! Does it have an option for an external video connection? It would be nice to see that on a larger screen.
I've watched tons of your videos. Do you do workshops or hands on training at your shop? I'm local and would love to be able to learn from you
do you think this can be used for PCB trace repair of pc motherboard?
Hello
Can you share the flash memory of the microscope please
Firmware of flash memory
Great video. Love the cool toys.👍
Any chance you have updated links for the gear in this video?
Awesome video
Love the new toys going to look them up.
Thank you.
Finally moving more into doing new stuff.
Look up a 898D rework station, on eBay I think it may be a plus for and work it's helped me .

perfeito! 👏👏👏
Just a general question. Can a guy use Denatured Alcohol instead of Iso to clean off flux?
Damn bro, you need to hook yourself up with some A/C!! It's lookin' awfully warm in there!! Great video, thanks for the info.
Awesome video dude
How to tell which is a bad part. I replaced a little shotke but there is another problem I haven't found.
