I'm okay with the ending it has. It's poetic. I feel like BF would be completely lost without GF. Even if he got out of the game, GF would still be dead, and he would most likely feel he has nothing left to live for. Ultra M took GF, who is pretty much BF's entire universe, which is why he was so panicked. It would make sense for them both to die. Plus, GF usually used her magic to protect BF, a barrier (Like when she blocked Xenophanes from grabbing BF right before You Can't Run), which could only be broken if BF was to lose a rap battle. Since GF's powers didn't work, that means her barrier doesn't either, which is also why she was also so panicked. They basically stood no chance.
As much as we want him to, it wouldn't make sense for him to. Plus, there's always the option as accepting the "movie-set" scenes during the credits as canon to the overall story. I like the ending where they die better though. It fulfilled a desire of mine when the mod first came out. That being having the protagonist lose and whatever evil or antagonist win, and that's the end.
bf was fighting stronger and stronger opponents this was bound to happen sooner or later. and his oldest bro warned him this would happen after he fought whitty but bf didn't listen, as much as i wanted him to live i hope he will be more cautious now before leaping head first into danger and listen when his elders tell him he is in over his head.

In all honesty I I like the ending because this is like the only very few mods where you actually get to see boyfriend actually lose and like I previously stated before you never get to see much of him losing but more of him winning so see him actually losing this month just goes to show that even if he can win he can still lose no matter how good he is.

Ultra M regrets killing bf and only bf since he found him fun and enjoyed battling him and his company, now that he killed him, his now another lifeless husk in the cartrage. Gf his happy shes dead, he wanted his revenge on dd and he got it but he still feel the same even after. His revenge made no difference to his sadness and the fact that his alone.

It's not that bf and gf die to me it's the fact that the it feels like a rushed bad ending things like gf being scared in "it's a me" and "Starman slaughter" but not being scared in all stars and horror m saying bf broke the rules and then he had the right to kill him but instead has a rap battle so in thst moment their having the 3rd song so basically by killing him he's breaking his own rules
