Here's an unboxing of The Flintstones The Complete Series on Blu-Ray. In this video I also compare this with the previous Flintstones Complete Series set on DVD.
A single-layer blu-ray disc can hold up to 25GB and a dual-layer blu-ray disc can hold 50GB But some of the space is reserved for the file system which occupied about 1.7GB data or more
All of those episodes are fully remastered and restored. :) Scratches, dust, and other messy stuff is gone, so the video quality is really awesome. Good bitrate too, around 11-12-13 Mbps. The two extra movies on the last disc are unfortunately SD, not HD. I kinda hate the fact that they compressed the series so much...they could've went with like 20-25Mbps video bitrate, really. It would've been a lot better, but it is what it is. :D I ordered mine today, and I cannot wait to finally own the series in a acceptable HD quality. Yay🙌
so what is the difference between bluray and DVD editions? did they improve the video quality? did they fix the closing credits? did they restore the missing cencosed cutted moments of some episodes? if not then we still are waiting for the original NOT-cutted version
Nice unboxing! I have this set too, I pre-ordered it and it’s a very well done set! The restoration for the episodes is excellent and it thankfully keeps most of the bonus features from the original 2004 to 2006 DVD releases, while sadly the most recent DVD releases of The Flintstones were completely bare bones. Also do you plan to get the Bugs Bunny 80th Anniversary Collection Blu-ray at some point? I got it for Christmas and it’s an excellent set. Although I do really wish that they would have included at least one more disc so that we could have finally gotten shorts like Elmer’s Pet Rabbit and The Unruly Hare on physical media.
Nice pickup my friend. Collecting physical media sure is fun but at times it can be tough too especially when something you want to purchase/pickup it can be expensive sometimes.
Bought it back in November of last year, it's an excellent set by far with pristine and amazing HD transfer compared to the previous DVD releases! What's lacking is the Special Features, they're missing a few commentaries and TV Commercials from the original DVD sets and even "A Man Called Flintstone" would of have a better transfer. "WWE's Stone Age Smackdown" is a strange oddity to be included but what can you do. Warner Bros. just recently sent out replacement discs of Disc #1 featuring "Season #1: Episode 17" due to having an audio error. As for the episode themselves, the audio doesn't contain a laugh track like it was originally. But, it's no big deal for me. It's worth it!
@@MorganTyler86 I am pretty sure it is free and it can take maybe at least 1 to 2 weeks to get it received in the mail just like J’s Blu Rays said in his Blu-Ray replacement program video.
I really like it that Warner Bros is putting these old cartoons on Blu ray. Just like the New Scooby-doo movies and Bugs Bunny 80th anniversary.
I didn't Know that The Complete Series of The Flintstones existed on Blu-ray until I Now Saw This Video 😱
I wasn’t expecting this to be release on Blu-Ray
