It's like two sides of the same coin - the first version is merciless, but this version portrays the silent realization that Puss is in actual danger, while Death watches him closely, patiently waiting to strike.

I love how this one has a darker tone to the song while the original has like an anger rock kinda. I like it because this one is like showing Puss’ afraid realizing he’s only got one life while in the original it shows Death’s perspective with like a you should fear me you should be afraid because I come eventually

I love this idea! This is like a writer gives two points of view. The previous song feels like "Death is coming for me!" with these bangs and screaming. This version feels more of "Yes, I am a Death" because he is not screaming, not trying to get attention, just states(/sings) a facts.
And most fascinating thing about this - they have same lyrics. I don't know why, but this just blew my mind. Like songs have the same story, but it hits different.
I love both versions, but, man, THIS is scariest song I ever heard. 10/10, ❤
