The best MREs are the chili Mac, spaghetti and meat balls and the beef stew. Chicken is sketchy lol. I’m a veteran and I remember the first time I ate an MRE. I had the same reaction as you lol. Like, what the heck is all this? 😂 Also, the clear plastic bag is what we used to drink the powdered drink or coffee.

When I was a kid back in the 80s we had a lot of MRE's because my father was in the military. We loved them. I am buying a bunch to keep on hand because they are a good source of protien, carbs, and calories to get you through the day. Our men and women in service eat these daily in the field...shout out to those who serve our country, including my little brother who is serving.

We eat these in cadets and the Canadian ones are different from American ones, ours aren’t that bad. Also fun fact: my squadron used to call them rations and MRE stands for meals ready to eat. Idk why I’m telling you but now you know more. Edit: More stuff cause I’m bored someone once used the cheese to cement a door closed, and you can use it to make a shelter sturdier. It’s pretty nasty. The bread can apparently have water poured onto it and turn into a full loaf.

This is a great video idea! And although it's much different for men and women in the military because they have to eat everything in about 1-2 minutes, they try to feed them well because they need much energy for well the military 😂. This helped me understand a little more what my dad went throught in the Marine corps
You gag at the sound of some of the mre meals but that’s almost all of what soldiers get when defending our country. They also have them in boot camp. My husband was army 8 years and served in Afghanistan. Just remember how easy civilians have it!

My dad before he left the army they gave him 30 MREs and hall some of them were the Chili Mac.... lets just say, it was one of the best things ever
