I'm Dominican and I'm happy that Miguel is finally sharing a little bit about his Latino heritage. Being Latino is an identity and it is so important to us always acknowledging our heritage no matter what.
Man being Mexican and not living in Mexico makes me realize that they are so happy with the little they got. And us on the other hand the more we have the less happy we are. I felt the love. One day soon I too, hope I can visit my half of my family
I first heard of Miguel when I was 14 years old in 8th grade back in 2010.. just thought he was a very talented young black man never thought he was half Mexican. I also have family in Michoacán from my dad's side. How cool! Really enjoyed this video!
I'm glad his not ashamed to be half Mexican. But here in America they look at Mexican people down upon as less but in reality being Mexican or any race shouldn't look down upon we should all be thanking each other no matter what race we are.
Very true what Miguel said you feel like you're home when you go back to your parents country. It grounds you in a way. As much as we are proud and lucky to be in the US, it's important to go back to learn, indulge, experience where you're family is from. I was blessed to take my children 2nd generation American Mexican to my mothers town. They loved and soaked everything in! Gracias Miguel for being proud of our Mexican roots!🇲🇽
Thanks for all the love and support ,its because of my Fans I'm here today .i love you bfor that !!! Have you ever been to any of my Concerts? ( three three six four four six nine zero seven four😇✅) you can text me and talk more about our music.
wow! Miguel is 110% even better now that I know where he came from. so happy for him that he got connected with his roots. such a great artist and person. I am a true fan
I love Miguel. My favorite male artist. It was cool to see him get back to his roots. It's important to know where you come from, and you can tell it was all love when he met his family.
I’ve totally been to Zamora plenty of times! I’m so so proud to know that he went there and is so proud of who he is! 🇲🇽 I am forever a fan of his🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Idk how people didn’t catch that he’s half Mexican his name is Miguel and he’s from Los Angeles.. idk maybe it’s just me but I put 2 and 2 together easily.
Wow this is great. I had a similiar experience with my family in Panama. My dad passed away when I was 17(I'm 36 now) and 5 years ago I started to look up my last name on facebook in the city where my father is from and a whole list of people popped up. The first time I met them it was like I found another part of me that was missing. We are mostly boys here in the US and they are mostly girls in Panama...but I felt like I was hanging out with my brothers but they were mis primas. Needless to say I've traveled to Panama 4 times in the past 5 years...and everytime I go down there all of my family come out in herds to hang out with me...its the greatest. No lie got a little choked watching this lol
Very nice video. Always good to see when people reconnect with family. Thank you very much for putting this video together and sharing it with us. It’s very touching.

This reminds me of when me and my family went to Jamaica for the first time. My dad’s family is from Kingston and he hadn’t been there since he was a little kid, it really felt like a homecoming
Amazing me and Miguel have parents from the same place ! Puro Michoacán! Every single place they’re going to I know by heart! Finally people see how beautiful it is where we come from and I’ve never seen anyone famous being from where I come from so that’s cool!
La Pantera Rosa must be a really good restaurant. Every time I’ve passed by, there is always a really long line. My mom is from Zamora too. My dad is from the smaller city next door, Jacona.
This is beyond dope. Going back to your roots where it all started. Beautiful...btw can somebody tell me what song that instrumental is from at 7:42 please? That guitar riff is looping in my head its so infectious I love it! I just don't know what it is...damn it.
Thank you "paisano" Alli estamos firmes. Desde Los Angeles a nuestro hermoso Michoacan. Y por sierto... We are neighbors I'm from Tangancicuaro Michoacan and I go to Zamora every time I go to "Michigan" great to know your Roots.
There is a bitter and dirty feeling called envy that is in heart of all those people who have not done anything important in their lives!. Let Miguel BE who he is ment to be!. With your support or without it He is a talented man and his talent you can not deny!. May God bless his career and guide him so everything He does He does it with pride and love!. That is all that counts!. One opportunity, one life ....use all the energy you guys have to take care of your own lifes and don't waisted trying to judge others in their efforts to be happy and successful!.
I loved when they sang Contigo it's one of my favorite songs. Me and my mom dance it every time it came out on the radio when I was younger and I'm 33 now and even when I doesn't come on the radio I sing it and we still dance. Lol 💖Miguel
I love this so much !!! I’ve been a fan of his since I was 10 😭😭 I’m 18 now 🤧🤧🤧. I’ll also be seeing him in concert in a few days dreams do come true !
@@AA-ek5kz No he doesn't. He doesn't look African at all. He looks straight up Indigenous honestly. It's weird that anyone would see him as anything but Indigenous and Mexican.
@@AA-ek5kz What is "looking black"? Where is the country called "black"? There is no such thing! He looks just like the Indigenous tribes of Mexico who happen to have his same skin color and features. He is an Indigenous Mexican man and clearly that is how he chooses to identify himself.

I love miguel. Most singers shy away from their roots but he works hard to learn about his Mexican roots.
I'm glad his not ashamed to be half Mexican. But here in America they look at Mexican people down upon as less but in reality being Mexican or any race shouldn't look down upon we should all be thanking each other no matter what race we are.
I'm surprised people just realized he's half Mexican. Look into the people who creates the music you listen to. ✌🏽️🇺🇸🇲🇽☀️
OMG I never knew that Miguel was half Mexicano
Wow Viva La Mexico ! ❤

It's Viva La Mexico!! Have you never seen Blue Streak?
Jupiter Stars wait are you trying to say Viva Mexico or Viva La raza
Jupiter Stars
That’s because you’re either Racist, stupid, or both. It’s obvious he looks both Mexican and Afro-American.
Viva la Mexico? Smh
he's always says he was half black half Mexican
Ronni Kay well at least he doesn't hide it like kid cudi even tho some people say he doesn't hide it with his alter ego name Juan Pablo
Listen To Lexi you fine as hell
@Sonya Angels Ascension im a year late, but Cudi’s dad died when he was young so he didn’t get to spend that much time with him
Cudi is like 1/8 Mexican if that
BLACK is a colour not person's/ppl

fhxs if you live in los Angeles look Latino and speak Spanish you are automatically a Mexican lol
fhxs Mexicans are not the only Spanish speaking people. Cuba, Colombia, Costa Rica, elsalvador, Paraguay etc.
Miguel is a beautiful name regardless of culture.
That’s stereotyping but ok.
He’s actually from San Pedro ❤️💪🏼
Wow does Miguel have more brothers? Send them my way please! Lol

It’s crazy that Miguel’s dad is a teacher at my school, but Mr.P’s sister is my aunt!
I never knew that, funny the world is small!
the world needs to see this side of you and your family. be an inspiration. help to bridge the gap.
It's amazing to see you enjoy your roots with your papá y tu hermano. Family is everything.
