I did a 2 year stint at 2 locations. Pros: Move up quickly if your talented, show up on time, demonstrate customer service. Good benefits. Decent pay for a no stress job. Fun coworkers. Cons: greater focus on clerical & house keeping tasks then generating sales. No commission. If your a closer it will demotivates you quickly. Store is always understaffed so your pulled into 10 different directions. Hardcore retail hours. Tough on your body if your over 40.

Working for Lowe's is great. I originally got hired as a Pro Loader. Six months later I'm now a CSA for Outside Lawn & Garden.
