I'm quite impressed for not using a flow bench to develop this. DV is a good teacher.

Nice work, especially for not having a bench!
Did I hear you say he brought Mopar? Yessss! Bout time you got back to some Mopar stuff! Still unpacking from my move, but almost ready to get back to playing with some of my Mopar heads!

Cool video.. I found that exhaust port interesting. Explains a lot. I never could figure out why some ports look like they should flow but don't

The chamber looks very much like the 4.0L 7120 casting. The bronze in the exhaust is very interesting

Thanks Charlie. I like that you do all kinds of heads and intakes. I learn something from all of them. Merry Christmas.

Man the casting in there area is rougher then a Stucco Bathtub LOL. I used to like a fat bow or 10 when I was younger.

This was a really cool video and gives hope to guys like me with none of the instrumentation. Pay attention to the fundamentals and you can make gains.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukah and:

Video looks good on the new phone. Would area ruled porting work on the chambers? Professor Vizard is a great teacher as are you Charlie. Thanks for sharing

Is the bronze in the exhaust port going to hold up to the EGT ?
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!!

It is a good question. I don't have an answer. I guess it depends on what you want to do. If you braze it, you could make a superstock style exhaust.

Don't know if you ever listened to the 10000 rpm jeep 4.0 chats done on this channel www.youtube.com/@amxj but the guy being interviewed was an engineer for the 4.0 jeep lots of good insights and first hand history.

That thing being a U flow heading are you losing anything. I’ve seen 292 chevys and 300 fords that ran real good

    • @servediocylinderheads

@@taylormayberry4826 It is a good question. It has to do with combustion theory and swirl. Counterflow heads can work very well if chamber is modified correctly. Thanks

Port filling is one of the most underutilized porting techniques.
