- I have been bitten by LOVEBITES and there's no going back, or at least that's what I'm told about this outrageously talented group of musicians. The Crusade was said to be their way of paying homage to Iron Maiden's Aces High, and I totally heard the reference! Thank y'all so much for recommending this to me, watching my video, and showing me love! Keep the recs coming and keep watching my content!

@ChadTheDragonLord Not only the first all-female Japanese band to play there but the only all-female Japanese band to play there. Imagine playing Wacken in only your second year as a band, that's pretty damn special. I've got a buddy who's band got to play there last year, it took them 30 years to get that invite.
@@guitarzen5999 In Wacken a lot depends on relations. Beynond the Black and All for Metal (they opened the festival last year) played there in their very first year after being founded.

Less than 2 yrs after becoming a Band, Lovebites received a Best New Band Award from a Prestigious Metal Association, and then got invited as the first all-female Metal band to play Wacken Open Air - one of the biggest Metal Festivals in the World. And you can see why from this performance. As word about their set spread around the Festival, the crowd grew by about 3x by the end, and the Ladies went from nervous to Confident. And it certainly doesn't hurt that the are all so beautiful to look at. Not everyone does, but once you are 'bitten' there is indeed _no going back_ . Now 4 years later, this awesome band has gotten ever better every year.
"Prestigious Metal Association"? WTF do you mean by that? Can't you do a bit of research and at least find out what the name of the "association" is? And no, they're not the first all-female band to play at Wacken. Take your fangirl head out of your fangirl @$$ and get your $#!+ straight.
Their presentation at Wacken Open Air, Germany, 2018, was a real success and a dream come true to Miho. I have the DVD (Crusaders standing at Wacken) of this performance, included in a special edition of their CD album “Electric pentagram”. The duration of their presentation was about 30 minutes. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Helloween, Slayer, Angra, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen, Gary Moore, etc., but they have been developing their own and unique style.
Thanks for reacting to this particular performance. It's been a while since I've seen it and it blew me away again with the power of these five amazing ladies. Asami knocked it out of the park with her vocals. So good.

This performance blows my face off every time I see it. Miyako shredding the whole time, Asami singing her heart out, those folks at that concert were so lucky to be there! 🤘🐺🤘
A guitarist friend of mine, who plays in a not so unknown band, didn't unpack or play his guitars for a few weeks after the Lovebites concert in Wacken - his only comment: "I saw and heard goddesses playing my instrument!"
I've seen Dizzy Reed (keyboardist from Guns 'N Roses) and Dave "Snake" Sabo (guitarist from Skid Row) say similar things after watching a LOVEBITES video.
2018 , a secondary stage , i was there , next time the main stage for the queens of metal its more than deserved, and i will be there , till then on 2024 europe tour the next i gonna have near its 2 shows in Spain and i gonna be there ,Greetings from Portugal

Wacken (Mecca of Metal) is an open air festival held the the first weekend each August in Germany.Well over a 100 + metal bands perform over as many as 9 stages for 3/4 days. This was the dream of the founder, Miho/bass, who put this insane band together. She is a great fan of Steve Harris Iron Maiden bassist) and wanted a more European influence in J/Metal with vocals in English. Lovebites were the 1st all female metal band from Japan to perform at Wacken having been around barely 2 years!!! Here in a side stage at noon they drew in an overflow crowd of true metal-heads and put on a stunning performance. Many came to see runway models in gowns and heels and were blown away by the band. Iron Maiden like Testament, Judas Priest, Metallica and other great legend bands have been a great influence along with classical music on the group. They blend all those influences into their own special sound especially LIVE!!!!!!

Maiden is one of the inspirational bands of Lovebites. If Maiden was on speed they would be more like some of Lovebites songs.
Yeah - obvious Maiden influences in quite a lot of LOVEBITES songs. But on average, LOVEBITES play harder, faster and their songs are (mostly) better written.
5 gorgeous ladies playing IN YOUR FACE MELTING metal. what's not to love ? most likely 90 % of the crowd never heard of them - first female metal band to be invited to the wacken - pronounced VOCK -IN. shortly after they won the metal hammer golden gods award for best new band. is anyone surprised ? nope.

If Lovebites would have been around in the eighties, I think they would have accepted Iron Maiden as their opener. 😁
Elite musicians. If they were around in the late 80s / early 90s playing this, they would have been as big, and probably bigger than Maiden.
Yes, you would think they would be exhausted after this, but they consistently do two-hour sets at this pace and they always look like they could go another two hours. It's all on video for anyone who doesn't believe it! So, as an Iron Maiden fan myself, I played several versions of "Aces High" back to back with "the Crusade", and there was no escaping it. Even at their peak, Maiden could not keep up with the ladies. Bruce might have had the edge on Asami, but Haruna would play circles around Nicko. And the guitarists? Forget it. Lights out.

As a matter of fact, the former bassist (playing here)/the band founder is a great fan of Steve Harris and they know each other in person. Now, you should try those Iron Maiden can't play.

I don’t know who told you to watch this version of the song but there are better versions of it out there. There’s a version of it on the Heavy Metal Never Dies and the Daughters of the Dawn concert. Both better than the Wacken version.
