Just a simple thank you Matthew ,for keeping us up to date with your build.
Love your attention to detail..
Your videos can't be too long for me.
I was in my first house 43 years, ( 3 marriages, so you can guess the number of changes made 🙄 )and done everything from floors to ceiling
7 years ago , bought a bungalow, and completely stripped it out and done a complete rebuild.
I'm 75 this year, so no more building for me .
So really enjoy your videos
There's nothing like knowing you have been responsible for every single thing in your house. 👍😎
A kitchen filled with custom built “furniture “. The word cabinets is not even in the same league. Amazing attention to detail. Good job.
Always a pleasure to have/see your family involved in your projects. Cabinets are looking very nice Matt.
Thank you!
I know you hate doing this home improvement stuff, but I love watching it!
I love watching you do the build-out on the kitchen. You are a master craftsman and it shows Matt !
5/4 clear maple all over that kitchen. Bomb proof. Good on you Matt. Will be there for generations
needs a fire suppression system for sure
People sometimes really do not know how long a remodel take until they have to live through one.
Once the refrigerator is installed and running, put a thermometer on the side of the freezer. If there is too great a different from room ambient, you can always cut a vent into the ceiling.
Being a cabinet maker/ finish carpenter now you know it’s easy ! Amazing just saw a couple boards , glue them together ; maybe a screw here or there ? Slap the boards to the boxes and stand them against the wall and poof ! DONE! Oh, maybe a smaller box in the big one called a drawer or two? Now that is extra !
Throw some paint on it collect thousands of dollars ! EASY MONEY!
Thank you Matt, another first class demonstration, your attention to do detail is first class. Looking forward to the finished product as I’m sure your wife and family are too.
I am seriously re-thinking redoing my kitchen myself, Matt...
Your wife deserves a super vacation. She is the patience queen. The kitchen is taking forever but looks absolutely beautiful. I'm not talking trash. I'm just saying most wives would be single by now 😂😂😂
Funny how "done" it looks when you get to this stage, but doors and drawers take a longer time than expected. I wish you Godspeed!
Should be a bit faster; I don’t have to think as much
Looking good. It’s so nice seeing cabinets made with nice thick solid wood. Can’t wait to see the finished kitchen.
Love your round "step stool". Ahmm >>>>
Nice progress on the kitchen. It's nice to see a perfectionist at work, and not the "slap-them-together" junk that I sometimes see on UA-cam. I was surprised to see you stood on that pantry shelf! If that were me (264 lbs) I'm afraid that the whole works (including me) would unceremoniously hit the hardwood floor. Suggestion: Why not incorporate an electrician's six or eight-foot stepladder in your assembly work? I'm always afraid that the inverted five-gallon bucket that you stand on will kick-out from under you...Otherwise, keep up the excellent work! I look forward to seeing your next adventure into the world of precision woodworking.
I really can"t wait to see it all done ! You do such great work ! I LOVE YOU ALL ! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I wasnt sure the appliance garage could be stood up. I am building mine in 2 pieces and adding end panels. But after watching this I am going to have to mock something up to try it.
The bookend cabinets really do make the whole space look more complete. Your continued attention to detail really shows in the final products you build and thank you for sharing the experience with us. It's probably a lot more work doing the explaining during the build, but it really helps to know what is being done and why. Personally, I don't mind the seams in the fridge surround since it's such a big cabinet and they really just look like part of the overall structure. Trying to make them go away and never come back might be a lot more work than it's worth.
Nothing says confidence like standing on the intermediate fixed horizontal partition. 🏆
Looking excellent Matt!
enthralling to watch
Matt in a box
Beautiful kitchen excellent craftsmanship! You're killing it Matt!
Thanks for the update friendo. 69.
Looking good Matt! 😃👍🏼👊🏼
Thanks for taking us along with you. I'm sure Lindsey is excited.
I feel like anyone who comes into the kitchen, not having watched the production videos will never see the paint cracks for the top of the fridge suround! I seem to have a knack for seeing those things as soon as I walk into a room... Kinda a curse when working on my own stuff. Because I want everything perfect, like you Matt. It's also why when I start to work on a project, I have to "fix" a lot of little things before going forward with my original project... Someone's going to get a nice house when I eventually move!
live in Alaska and watch your program as well as other programs there is one program I think you might be interested in which Is Lumina Acres. they have installed a Heat master G10 wood boiler that hears there whole property and only burns approximately 3 to 4 cords of wood per year. you can see on the following program the instillation start ( we have been waiting a year for this) and (this could be a total disaster)
24:44 Kids are the best
Matt, Great progress even thogh you were sick. Thanks for the little children and wife Cameo….haha! Big congratulations on progress!
Nice video. One respectful question: how will you circulate air for the refrigerator? I built a similar surround for a high end kitchen years ago and the wife did not like opening and closing the door to access the food. We removed the door and installed panels on the refrigerator doors
Keep up the good work!
Only 69? That would be cutting your amazing channel short. Wouldn't it? Still love all you do brother. Keep up the good work.
It's so good that you share the headaches and success of your building your new kitchen
Tried to resist but I just caved and purchased one of those Woodpeck 2616 squares. Matt should get a commission.
🤣🤣🤣 Well, you better not be watching any Bourbon Moth videos! He's all Woodpecker everything 🤣
@@OldsmobileCutlass1969VaI purchased their (expensive) parallel guide system for the track saw and haven’t been real pleased with it. Wasn’t going to buy anything more but that square looks ideal for setting up my slider, double-checking work, etc.
@18:00 you can never have too big of a woodpecker
One set closer to getting finished. Looking good.
Yeoweeee! With every video you manage to grow my appreciation for your craftsmanship, and my interest and anticipation intensifies for the next video - what an amazing, storied journey you are taking us on. EXQUISITE work master Matthew!
Just an absolute pleasure seeing things come along and getting finished. You are doing a great job Matt. Cheers!!
Some cracks are pretty.....for sure!
It is starting to look like a kitchen Matt. Nicely done and thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
You certainly have attention to detail. Something I wish I had more of but being 70+ I’ll stick with smaller simpler projects. Love watching your vids.
Looking good!
Even a perfectionist can be almost perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know that expression sometimes thrown around…WE’RE NOT BUILDING A CLOCK? I appreciate your craftsmanship and precision in all details…as if you are building a clock ‼️ Keep up the great work 🎉 🙋♀️💖🇨🇱
Didn’t know it until this moment
When I build something for my house, I say, (To keep my perfectionist tendency and depression at bay.), "We're not building fine furniture here!" 😂 I really appreciate how your skill in furniture making has transferred to the home build, remodeling. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Our phrase is... "It's just a dog house" which originated from when we built a dog house strangely enough 😂
It is like Festool was asked to design IKEA furniture.
Hi Matthew this is Ross from Sydney Australia. I truly love your videos they are very educational... One little observation, did you consider ventilation like (exhaust fans) for your Kitchen appliances cabinet and your Fridge cabinet because both of them they do create lots of heat when they are on and working... I have an enclosed fridge like yours and I had to install an exhaust fan with heat sensor.. I have mine set at 25 degrees Celsius 77 Degrees Fahrenheit... cheers Ross
Nice detailing - I remember my 1st kitchen reno on a 100yr old cottage - walls n floors weren't straight. That was 30yrs ago & the place has been sold twice n still has the same kitchen. If they only knew what I went thru - old school - do it once, do it right - move on.
Beautiful kitchen you have soon there. It is so nice to see different styles, than our Nordic style. We have usually all machines integrated and we don't have face frames. But I love the American style, it is more cosy.
That kitchen is really coming along nicely Matt! Thanks for always sharing with us!💖👍😎JP
Do it all week, watch it all weekend.😂😂👍🏝️🇨🇦
I am really enjoying the kitchen build . Thank you for sharing! 👍
I feel like I live here after watching this many videos.
Can't wait to see your finished project. You are such a perfectionist - I'm sure your end result is going to be spectacular.
The "Baby crying in other room" caption got me good.
Just here for Part 69!! 🎉
It's hard to anything perfect in a imperfect world.
Paging the Safety Police!! @28:26 .... 😉😇
So how much white paint overspray ended up on your nice bright red sweatshirt? 😁
Surprisingly the overspray doesn’t seem to stick to me
It's all coming together and looking great Matthew!
Excellent work, Matthew! The attention to detail is amazing!
nice work
Glad I am not the only one the inch monster attacks
Love watching your videos! Great to have so many great tools and know how to use them. I learn something new with video.
What kind of ventilation are you providing for the refrigerator? Don't the sides and back need air flow to dissipate the heat?
It just needs ventilation in the kick plate. Thanks!
I recognise a kindred spirit: I’ve been working on my kitchen for years, too.
Always enjoy seeing the progress on the kitchen.
You do a amazing job on that kitchen.
Nice work!
For a customer I would fit the large doors, and tweak the boxes for the best fit .
Like you say, this is a unique situation !
For prefinished cabinetry with doors installation, sometimes being slightly of plumb/level/square is helpful.
Still looking great Matthew. Can't wait to see the finished product. Stay safe.
Good Morning Cremona Family.
I have been watching you for a long time BRILLIANT.
Nice customization of your custom cabinet! And I like the use of your block plane to scribe the panel to the wall. Very nice attention to detail.
Just scribed the upper area 😄
It’s amazing how many people say you can’t use a miter saw to consistently cut a 90, and you must do it on your tablesaw. Yet every cut you have made for your facings was cut with a miter saw, and the joints are tight.
cool
A refrigerator is a heat pump that pulls and/ or pushes air across a heat exchanger. A space around it is needed for that circulation. If you are creating a tight fitting box around it that blocks in coming or outgoing air you are making its job harder if not impossible. Are you venting it to the outside or a free flowing vent somewhere?
It vents out its toe kick. It’s a built in fridge
NOT TRUE
Nice work!
Lookin' good, Ace!
I am so enjoying your progress.
Looking great thanks for sharing
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Love it so much keep it up as always 💘
beautiful matthew smiles
Very nice.❤
Very nice, incredible attention to detail
Great as usual. I see your son was like mine . would you like help dad. In my dreams LOL
Looks like you're almost ready for appliances.
Matt,
Had you considered making the refrigerator box 'have to' seams with a beaded profile?
Wouldn’t really match the theme of the rest of the cabinetry
Great job! So does the framing around the panels and dominos keep the panel from cupping and moving?
“Whatcha Doin’?” “Putting in a fridge surround!” Doesn’t care….😂🎉
You should have layed out the kitchen on the floor or wall that way you know the sizes of all the cabinets.
OSHA regulations max pale stack is 3 pales.
Ying Yang
Can you share your paint setup? Which sprayer, spray gun, cap set? How much you thin the paint out (what type of primer and paint)? You make this look easy and I know that you have done a lot of trial and error on the painting.
Spray set up and paints I’m using for the cabinets and trim
Looking good, I'm curious if you will provide for air circulation for the refrigerator?
Not necessary
will the island have outlets?
Matt da man in SOCKS !!!
Where did you purchase the legs for your cabinets. Currently building a house at the moment and will be building a few small ones, Thanks. Everything in your kitchen is looking great!!

I noticed you had a Sub-Zero unit specified. Are you getting a french door style refrigerator/freezer - so presumably two panels with handles mounted on the face?
Just a column fridge going there. We have an under counter drawer unit which will have a freezer drawer going in the island
Fit carcasses first then add face frames. Your doing an amazing job but your making it difficult.
I love the fact you have all those expensive woodworking tools but when you need steps or a ladder you just stack plastic drums 😂
When attaching the cabinet face frame to the side of the refrigerator panel, do you drill a clearance hole on the face frame side? Maybe it's not necessary if you clamp it tight enough? Curious what your process is. thanks.
Clamp, drill, screw
