  • We grew our own #homestead #pig #feed using #American #guinea #Hogs to till and prep the soil. #Homegrown feed is better for our animals and better for the budget. The American guinea hogs are able to #make a #living #tilling, #fertilizing and enjoying the #fruits of their labor. Winter peas and barley grow well in the soil on our pasture. The entire system benefits the land and the animals as we #grow our own food. #realmainepork is made from hard work and determination.     Love the pigs. I am wanting to get some of that variety too. I like the idea of the feedlots too. How long will that last for them? I found you in the Small UA-camrs Homesteaders group!

      I wouldn’t say a certain size area feeds them for a specific time, that changes. We would say it slows them down considerably, what would take a day on average pasture takes several days to a week. We appreciate you stopping by!!
