'Just watched David Letterman with Henry in 1982. He had a CRAZY first wife who divorced him and chased him around for 35 years , getting him arrested and suing him for over 500K. Nice.
Thank you, for these, remember them well. this was a cute one, love that old fella. What a sweetheart. Ironton I dont remember that town wonder if it's around now. Colorado old my storming grounds.
I agree to that . Actually Bill Cullen would be a good host if you could disguise his infirmity . Also I think the two ladies IGAS could be a better host on IGAS than Mr. Cerf on WML . The producers of WMl overlooked Ms. Frances and Ms. Kilgallen both of media experience .
Henry Morgan could--when he wanted to--be an excellent team player. You get the feeling that if he'd been able to suppress his self-defeating tendencies as a nasty crank (as was often the case when he was a panelist), Morgan could've really excelled.
@gwenniegirl50 I've done that research, and Henry Morgan was curmudgeonly in showbiz and in his personal life. He fathered a son he refused to acknowledge, and his life was messy. Morgan admitted in his autobiography that while on TV, he drank to prevent stage fright. One of Morgan's few friends, Arnold Stang, said that Morgan invariably sabotaged anything in his life that went well.
I have always been so impressed with Gary’s respectful and kind treatment of his elderly and hearing impaired guests. I was GREATLY disgusted by the treatment of this first guest by Harry and the panel!!
I don’t even remember me posting my comment. Lol. I had to watch it again to know what I was talking about. 😂 I looked the town up again on Wikipedia and there is still a 0 population.
@ I understand that. Actually I prefer dogs & cats than most people. Oh & hey, ya would automatically be Mayer, police chief & all other political offices of your own town. Lol.
His network weekly show was not renewed by CBS, so Gary Moore decided to take time off. Steve Allen took over as host of this show for the rest of the show's first run on CBS and in the syndicated run.
Terrific! This was a side of Henry Morgan we never see - witty, charming, and a real pleasure.
Loved the sculptures!!!
Henry was always so fun. At first I didn’t know how to take his sense of humor. But then really listen to him. And now I look forward to his zingers.
Columbus, Indiana has one of the best moving sculptures. Chaos 1 uses parts from an old cannon, including cannonballs.

Henry was a pretty good host. He certainly was more comfortable than Bennett Cerf hosting WML.

Do some research and reading on what he went through with 1st especially. Also,IMO some of the grumpiness was a farce.

The UA-cam channel Dereliction Doug has a present day video showing Milton's home and talking about IGaS.

I didn't feel that way at all.
Nonsense. Everyone had fun, including the guest.
Oh, hush.
You criticize anything.
I wonder what became of the artist. I couldn't google him up. (No, he's not the artist Dennis "Dizzybear" Mead, who was born in 1973.)
Henry SMILING? Who IS this man?
The least they could have done was give the guy from Ironton a television.
There was no TV reception in Ironton, so a TV couldn't be used there.
@@RonGerstein Fair enough. I did not know that. Thank you.
Ironton is now a ghost town. It now has a 0 population.
Sure, now that the one resident died! (I looked it up too, and that was my reaction to seeing it described as such.)
Given how much I like people, Ironton just may be the place for me.

Looks like a Willy Wonka machine
I wonder if this is around the time Gary Moore retired ?

@@RonGerstein Thanks for the info ‼️
@@RonGerstein and Henry Morgan refused to accept Steve Allen as a host over his friend Garry Moore. Morgan just barely tolerated Allen.
