Thanks for your review, I also use this PC and happy about it, except for temperature, we are in winter no big deal, to avoid surprises in summary I bought this Aluminum Large Heatsink 4.72'' x 2.72'' x 1.06'' inch, match’s perfect and easy to attach, still testing but seems helps because when I finished my session the heatsink is hot, meaning took out from PC enclosure. Thanks for your review.
Nice review, as a die hard asiair user (and the well known wifi problems) i'm looking for something else. This seems as a very good option to me. Keep up the good work!
Thanks; I just got my miniPC (the Quieter2) set up with Win11 and I have not had too many issues. But I'd love to see how to downgrade back to Win10 (and learn what the advantages you see in doing that are).
Hey James, Quieter2 is a excellent! If windows 11 is working well for you then no need to downgrade. I found it to be unstable. NINA kept doing erratic stuff, Astap wouldn't plate solve properly etc. Thats why I decided to downgrade it and now everything works flawlessly.
@@AstroOnBudget Hmm, since I’m new to NINA and all those Windows apps, having moved over from ASIAIR, I don’t know what’s just a quirk of these new (to me) programmes and what’s a quirk of Win11.
@@AstroOnBudget Because I have a dome (slowly) making its way to me, and the ASIAIR won't control it, so I figured I should become familiar with NINA and the like.
Anyone know if this will work in rural locations where one does not have Internet access. I am concerned because my initfinding indicates that the Quieter3C does not support Hosted Network. So, if I want to use Remote Desktop on my phone or another computer to access the Quieter3C I can do so just fine at home. But what if I am on, say, a mountain away from civilization, I might have to run an Ethernet cable to use Remote Desktop. Not a fatal problem, but I am wondering if I am misunderstanding something.
5:38 what's the process to downgrade to windows 10 ? 6:20 it's extremely hot, barely touchable.. and i litteraly was just installing softwares, not even doing live captures.. any tip or suggestion on that ? I am thinking of returning it because of that; I would certainly not put it against any optic or plastic material
Yeah for me doesn't make any difference if you use connect it directly to power supply or connect it to USB port. Either way it needs 5v 1.5A which can be easily drawn from most PC's USB ports. What do you use to power your dew heater?
@@AstroOnBudget I've been using the Xiaomi Mi 20000 mAh Power Bank strapped to one of the tripod legs. Thanks for the specs on the USB port. I wasn't sure if a PC this small would handle it. One less thing to carry outside now!
@@BikerInAHat Its a great idea to use the power bank! If my PC wasn't good enough, I would have done the same. Power bank must last you a long time? I am curious, what's your current setup?
@@AstroOnBudget Fairly modest. A Star Adventurer GTI, Modified Canon T7, SVBONY SV503 70mm, Askar FMA230, or the Rokinon 135mm lens depending on what I'm shooting. Mele Quieter 2Q or ASI Air Plus. Still swapping between the two, not sure which I like better yet. SVBONY SV165 Guide Scope with the ZWO ASI120mm-mini camera.

You would love it. I don't know if this will give you the automation aspect of ASIAIR but it will give you access to all sorts of softwares and apps.
I really wish there was a device like this with 6+ usb ports.
Agreed!
I have been running two MeLE Quieter 3Q with Windows 11, N.I.N.A, Pixinsight, Phd2, ASCOM and other programs for 2 months without any problems

That's excellent John. I am glad it has been working for you. Unfortunately, it was giving me trouble so I downgraded to Windows 10.

Great review, thank you. I would also like to see a tutorial on downgrading to Win 10

Great review, but how do you manage power to this PC in a portable setup?
Hi Suklesh,
You can power the PC via 12v cable. You could use a portable battery.
What Kind of 12V USB-C cable are you using with a portable Batterie?
I've been apprehensive in powering my dew heater with mine but it seems you're doing ok with that.

Will this mini PC connect directly via wifi to a laptop or do you need to connect a router to the mini PC with an ethernet cable?
There is a way to connect directly
@@AstroOnBudget What is the way to do so? Other than an ethernet cable?
I'm curious as to whether or not you're using a windows phone to remote in or could you use an Android phone?
Hey mate, it's just an Android phone.
@@AstroOnBudget Thank you; that's cool. I thought it had to be a windows based phone.
@@kenn7915 no worries. Remote Desktop app is available on Android as well as IOS.
Does it have the often used 2.1x5.5mm 12V connection so I can use it with battery power?
Unfortunately not. It uses USB C.
What is the price? Thanks
I got it for $300 Australian dollars. So something around $200 USD
Does the mini have a power light hope its red, would love to see downgraded to 10 seen enough nightmare's in ytube.
Yes it does 🙂 red when it's off, blue when on.

Great review. could you please do one on degrading to windows 10. Thank you
Will do :) thanks
You should remove the stickers on the lid because of overheating problems
Good idea! Will do
Would be interested how you downgrade to win 10
No problems. I will make a video on that soon 🙂
Please provide video on how to downgrade from Windows 11 to 10
Turns out it was super easy, just goto Micsrosoft and choose to downgrade. There was an option
Roll back to Windows 10 please
