What does the bible say about pants? This video allows an insight into some of my study process as well as some tools to determine the root of whether or not women should wear pants.
Thank you sister for this wonderful lesson. I prayed about it a while back. I'm going to still wear pants but I'm going to start wearing more dresses and skirts. I'm growing my relaxer out as well, 6 months post. I'm learning to love original self. I'm must say, since I found out who I was, it changed my whole perspective of life. All praise to the Most High. I have to come on UA-cam to learn because No one around me wants to wake up. Thank you.

Pants are for men. Women literally didn't start wearing pants up until about the 70s due to the feminism movement. Don't believe me? Watch any old movie. You won't see 1 woman with pants on.

When I read this what I got out of it is that the Most High wants men and women to be distinct from each other. He references those differences in many ways in scripture. Deut 22:5 1 Corinthians 11:2-15 I've always understood the point to be that men have a role and women have a role and how we carry ourselves shows how we feel about our Yah given roles, which is a reflection of our relationship with Yah. My husband used to make it very clear to me that I make him feel weak or incapable or acted like a man and I used to get offended lol but I understand now that what he meant is that I don't make it easy for him to be the man or strong leader; I wore the pants lol. He never asked me not to wear pants, but once I got into Yah's truth I decided not to wear pants and learning the importance of my role as a woman solidified that decision for me; I know that I can wear pants but I dont because appreciate my Yah given role and it's an outward reflection of the changes Most High is making for me within! Halleluyah!!!

That's the best answer I've heard about women wearing a. dress because it connects you to your role as a woman. I always thought men and women had distinct and different roles. Once I came into the know Word of Yah through Torah, it all made sense.

if you look up Breeches in the Bible dictionary. you will see it says "see dress" . So men wore dresses in biblical times??? therefore, no pants for men either
My husband was military, and I hated to see women in dress blues, (a skirt) and walking and carrying themselves in a manly manner. Trust me, a woman can look just as manly in a dress. I know. It’s sounds crazy, but your clothing really cannot hide your heart. I totally get it when it refers to girding up.
Yay! I can keep my jeans and my long tunics!!! But I knew that 😊...(an issue of comfort) this share was an amazing breakdown of study and Hebrew truth! I just watched a share from your husband explaining that during these last days we have been given the opportunity to go back to the original meanings of Hebrew words for full context. I'm going to share this with family and friends that need help learning how they can study 📖 but personally for me it was validation that I'm on the right track. It's relieving to know that somewhere out there are people who "love" the truth and the lifestyle not because it's a burden but because they "love"!! Please don't stop sharing because for some of us you are the link and our connection to our people. One thought, one people, one lifestyle, one truth!

this definitely confirms what my thoughts were and the response i got in prayer..that a woman should not take on the characterstics (that which pertain to a man)...being masculine...lesbian...artifice..."strap-ons" etc...and the same for a man...he should not become what his woman is....

Shalom Sister 🙂 Due to my natural body shape I cannot wear pants & still be clothed in a modest way. Yah recently revealed this truth to me; that He wanted me to stop wearing pants. The Holy Spirit also led me to cover my head. We are a set apart people as Israelites. We are chosen & called to be a holy, peculiar & royal nation. I cover my head to signify obedience & submission to Yahuah.
In the winter months I wear leggings to keep my legs warm underneath my skirts or dresses...
That's fine but show me in scripture where it says women are not allowed to wear breeches or at any time women were punished for walking around wearing linen breaches.

Shalom Sister, I am repenting and transitioning to modest clothing, for work and working out. I believe the comments here mostly show heart condition. Honestly, underwear are also pants.i.e. panties, as well as pantyhose. So, this is where the various comments fall apart. Modest clothing is where my heart takes me. In the Middle East, and all over Africa women dress modestly and wear "pants" under Abaya' s and Kaftan' s. Pants, pantyhose, panties, tights, skinny jeans all the same. They should be worn as under are apparel as under garments, under dresses, skirts , abaya' s etc...I pray my heart and understanding is what Abba Yah wants. Shalom

Absolutely! Yes and the things of the flesh (natural/physical/expiration date) are only a foreshadowing of the spiritual (the infinite ,the all that there is/no expiration date). TMH wants us to really see HIM so he breaks himself down to the lowest common denominator(of course without losing not one bit of himself in our process!).... and our people still missing it... that why its ALWAYS good to learn from man(flesh) but to ALWAYS be lead by the Spirit (wisdom) HE is so good ALL PRAISES!!!!!

I was raised in a church where everyone was to believe that women should not wear pants because they said it is men's clothing and I used to wonder about socks, shoes, gloves, hats and jackets! Also, it seemed to me a long time ago and now that men push the belief that women can only wear skirts and dresses to have "easy access."
For women who want to wear a dress and/or a skirt, by all means, go for it, but scripture is not telling women they can not nor should not wear pants (lack of understanding)The scripture verse really isn't that hard to understand. In the days of our ancient ancestors, they both wore robe type garments, just looked different, but neither wore pants. Wasn't this verse written before we all started wearing pants? The woman in the video is so right on point. Keep sharing what Yahuah gives you achuth/sister. It seems that we want to be more set apart than we really are and Yah is not telling you to wear a dress or skirt because He knows that dress or skirt is not going to stop the wicked heart we have, so get real. Great teaching and breakdown of scripture. I'd love the men teach the men about WEARING WOMENS CLOTHING. They harp so hard on what women have to do, wear, act and be. They need to teach the other men ,according to scripture HOW TO TREAT WOMEN. I agree with you about how's it's been taught and presented to women. If a woman has been hurt by a man, the last thing she'll quickly be receptive to is a man telling her what to wear.
We do if we see it. Problem is its hard to go a day and don't see women in pants. The problem is that big.
Todah for sharing. I've been asking the Abba for edification on this. I don't mind wearing dresses, so it's not a rebellion thing for me, but a decision amongst my Ish and myself. A woman can wear a dress or a skirt and it be just as form fitting as tight pants. Its about dressing modestly. OK, here I come. my Dear Precious one. First of all thanks for not keeping me waiting so long book wise. 😊I praise YAH for the Sisters that needed clarity on this precept as I did, where YAH pulled on you and said it's time. Again, out of the ball park with this teaching. Yes I will watch this again. But as you were teaching ever so tenderly YAH brought something to my view. What I also saw was, "man should not put on that which pertains to a woman ", the feminine attributes, broke wrist... "and women should not put on masculine attributes, macho macho ". For all that do so is truly an abomination unto YAH.! So the way YAH used you to break it all the way down gives me another tool to use in clarity for another topic. Touche'!! You were ever so non bias and loving. That's why you're my "Precious One " from YAH. I will continue to where my skirts when I am not working. I get it, absolutely. Before going to bed last night I was really thinking about this topic an it was really on my mind an heart because as I am on my righteous journey I really do not want to carry myself in a way that would be displeasing to the Most High, so I really have been praying fervent prayer an asking him to please lead me, guide me an speak to my spirit concerning somethings I need better help an clarity understanding. I love wearing dresses an skirts, not to display my temple but because they are very comfortable however I do sometimes wear pants an said that I truly hope that the Most High will not deny me because of that. Recently, God has been calling me to really research what proper and appropriate Christian women's clothing is. I've never been one of those show and strut women. In the past several days, I've watched a lot of different videos regarding Biblical Dress Code.
Now videos regarding the topic of whether Christian women should be wearing pants keeps coming up under my searches.
To me, this is a sign that God that He wants me to go further in reevaluating what I'm wearing. I'm willing to give up wearing pants. I have a few dresses and skirts to get me started. I think I am allowed to wear a skirt at work too. I'll have to double-check that.
I've always worn what I call "modesty shorts" under my skirts and dresses. That way, I'm "covered" and protected from being exposed if anything happens. I will continue with that practice.

Thank you for breaking down the scriptures piece by piece. I'm new to my heritage as a Hebrew and I'm now relearning how to interpret scripture in it's proper context. TBH I instantly rebelled when I heard Hebrew men saying women shouldn't wear pants, mostly cuz I hate people telling me what to do, but also bcuz I didn't know how to interpret the verses they use. Over the last few months Yah has been softening me to hear what he says and trust whatever he says. Every word he gives has a reason behind it and it can be tested against man's interpretation. Properly interpreting his word with his spirit is the game changer that enables perfect obedience. Thank you for teaching women like me how to interpret scripture :)
I strongly agree with you, I'm not a young woman by far, but I've struggled with this coming to the truth and I told my son, until I come into the awareness of truth as far as my clothing, I was not going to have ppl, or a religious sector of believers tell me about my appeal, I've always felt that when truth comes, your going to recognize it some how. We're not stupid or naive or rebellious...sometimes we're just confused and won't let anyone person sway us to the left or right, we just want to stand strong in our faith towards TMH through Yahsua.

This revealing of the scripture was very simple yet profound APTTMH. The camps should watch this video, it will give them a new perspective regarding that particular passage.
I am so greatful for this lesson on the Sabbath...I was so excited until I had to pause this a few times, I've gotten so much from this, not just about pants and I feel so free now, so liberated, when truth comes it sets you free, it loosen the chain of bondage from you soul, whom the son sets free is free. I wanted to get on the phone and just start calling ppl, I was so excited... I like wearing dresses, but I wear pants, but now I have an understanding, now I don't feel like I have to wear the dress...the struggle is gone, I'll wear the dresses because it is only a cross reference of who I am, it does not defined me, I am woman, "but" I will respect this body because it belongs to Yah and will always wear modest apparel.

You are on point (Zondervan Compact Bible Dictionary page 137, paragraph 2 and 3, and 7-8) speaks about linen breeches (which then as described as a skirt), modern times as you described as panties, skinny jeans, long-johns, etc...

Actually breeches are mentioned in the Bible and they were for the priest to wear under their garments. I also remember reading in the Bible somewhere that said Let a man where breeches when he worked.
@@bonniemitchell736 I pray that we are right and forgiveness if not. But one thing has been a little difficult for me to comprehend.. it not logical and seems a bit off. So here goes... Underwear are breeches and maybe considered short pants...aka panties. Also, shorts are shorter pants. I'm just saying. The statement "pertaining to a man" seems to be telling us not to wear clothing labeled for men?

It's really to understand when you read the entire thing in context. The entire chapter is about being double minded. People put pants in verse 5 but forget that verse 11 condemns diverse materials. So even if it meant a woman not wearing pants, if she has on linen and wool together she would be wrong (when its weaved together). So when you read stuff out of context it messes you up. I love wearing dresses and skirts, but I find I wear them more in the spring - fall. I hate being cold., so I tend to wear more pants in the winter. I am working on remembering all the commandments so I will probably wear only skirts and dresses after I add my tassels. I appreciate you breaking down the text, definitely a skillI aspire to learn and master..

I had been going back and forth with this. I donated, sold or gave away slacks and jeans years ago in 2014, but began purchasing wide leg and bell bottom pants to wear with over-the-knee tunics, midi or maxi dresses, loose blouses or shirts which covers my rear side. When these passages were WRITTEN men mainly wore tunics with a girdle or band around his waist. The loins were wrapped.
Genesis 46:26

Breeches were designed specifically for those in the order of priests as instructed by YAH.
Pants however were not worn by anyone recorded in history at the time.
Study the history of pants.
In Rome and Greece, trousers were associated with "barbaric" cultures; "civilized" women and men wore tunics.

We find too much excuse just wear shirt or dress, my husband don't wear dress or shirt problem solved. A pants is a pants period women or for men....... We should try to look different than man stop trying to be like or look like man.
Wearing a dress doesn't automatically make a woman more feminine.
Wear dresses that are creatively design to make u look beatiful instead of sexually luring and that dont mean skin tight skirts so saying a woman wearing tight skirts can look just as skimpy as a woman wearing pants dont excuse nothing because we all know why they wear them and that is to show their shape period.just dress modest thats all without showing how big your butt and hips are. Be obedient and stop justifying it

I'm pleased to have been taught to remove my pants and wear dresses/skirts because it's softening my spirit because not only am I a prior US Marine, I also developed a strong spirit which was masculine. As for men teaching and instructing women to remove pants...this makes sense to me and I don't see it as manipulation because men are the head of the women even a single woman.
So your teaching confirmed what I've been taught and I will continue to be sure to wear skirts/dresses.

In light of what the scripture says about the broad road that many finds, and the narrow road that few finds, it wouldn't hurt to stay away from things lauded by the world( lust of the flesh and the pride of life etc) and specifically those who call themselves trend setters. The counsel of the ungodly as it were. Not only should attention be paid to attire, but everything that makes for holiness and right living that is pleasing to our maker. If one is a new creation, it shouldn't be hard to tell. Every aspect of his/her being should declare it, not causing others to stumble or question whether or not he/she is separated from the world.

Just an idea I had thanks to your video and going back to look at this verse again..... What if the second clause in Duet 22:5 is just expanding upon the first one, and both are just speaking about warriors (neither about what a woman should do or not do).
What if we read it like this.... "The woman shall not BECOME a WEAPON unto a WARRIOR, neither shall a WARRIOR wear women's clothes" Meaning..... A warrior shall not use a woman as a battle tactic or dress up like a woman to fool the enemy.

I have so much respect for women who wear skirts daily. When I was younger I wore only skirts, because I was forced to. Now that I have rightly divided the word, I see that it is not necessary. However, modesty is always important. I wear mostly dresses, or loose pants, and I wear baggy scrubs at work. Men and women used to wear robes. Also, men used to wear higher boots and panty hose during the times of Christopher Columbus.Women who wear them would be sinning in that case.
If I understood the presented information correct the scriptures studied (In my understanding) are pertaining to women are not to fight in war or be as a man and men are to wear these garments in war. It is a very large assumption considering the word "pants" isn't contexually mentioned. However, Zephaniah 8 most certainly talks about not following any aspect of the heathen cultures of the time.
It is very clear that wearing the opposite sex's clothing is an abomination. But it is also clear that long dresses are women's clothing and pants are men's. This has been around for 6000 years. Look at any public restroom door. In the Bible the priests did wear something long, robe looking but it was only for in the temple. Today we still see this concept, with Judges wearing long robes only in the courtroom. It is the same with pastors who wear robes, and choir members, people graduating etc. A man wearing a long robe has only been worn in a position of Honor inside a temple etc, unless they are perverted. Christ pointed out how the perverted scribes liked to wear long robes in Luke 20:46 in public. Throughout history the women have worn long dresses until the women's lib movement. Men have always worn pants with a loin cloth or shorter skirt over them, like the native Americans, or Scottish kilt. Men and women are to be easily recognized what sex they are by their clothing even from a distance. Instead of having to pull down their pants to read the label or look at their privates. As a matter of fact, labels that say men's or women's on clothes has only been around about a hundred years. Before there was no need for labels saying Women's or men's. It is more clear if you leave the USA. China and Russian military women's clothing is still a skirt. Japan girls still have skirts as school uniforms, so does the Philippines and most other asian countries. It is sad to say, but the confusion on the subject is spread around the world from the USA.

Breeches were commonly worn by priest to hide their nakedness when performing sacrifices or offerings. Israelites of old mostly wore robes and nothing else. Over time pants were invented from another culture (Asian) whose women wore pants. Since pants really didn't come from Hebrew custom does it really apply? Methods of dress evolved over time. I think that the Bible was/is promoting the inherent differences of the sexes.

I've always had issues with this translation. Pants for the English were undies. Undies used to go down the thigh to the knee. I never saw a scripture that said anyone other than Levites/priests were to wear pants. So is it back to tunics for everyone? I think not.

Matthew Murdock now you're being silly and insulting. No Hebrew woman should be wearing mini skirts, and men wore robes (without pants underneath), which could be confused as dresses, except they were styled in a masculine fashion. Women didn't have a need to wear long leg coverings at the time.
I have seen several of these videos and my main question is why would this lady not have her head covered while teaching? This is something I can not get past. Anyone that has an answer for this, I would like to hear it.

glassawata From my studies, the purpose of women covering their head (scripture doesn't say forehead only) is to show submission to The Most High as well as modesty just as in dress. The beauty of the woman's body and hair is for her husband to see. I'm not saying that it is or isn't good enough for I'm still learning myself. For me, I only uncover my hair within my house and wouldn't feel right without a head covering. I would just like to hear an explanation from the scripture as to why she doesn't feel the need to cover her head. Hopefully she will soon make a video on that.

Good lesson. I tried so hard to show this to my youngest daughter. Pointed out women with the new trend of wearing black tight stretch pans to show how big their butt is. Made it clear what men think when they see this. All I can do is hope she understood and desires to present herself the right way. If I had a wife I wouldn't want her going out the house in sweat or stretch type pants. I remember I went on a date once and when I got to her house and saw her in sweat suit, I asked her to change and she was shocked that I asked. She refused, we went to movie and I never went out with her again. I was right because we didn't get through the date without a dude trying to get around me to get at her.

Presently, britches reflects a common pronunciation often used in casual speech to mean trousers or pants in many English-speaking parts of the world. Breeks is a Scots or northern English spelling and pronunciation
The bottom line is that women were not forbidden to where them according to scripture, not once.
Deuteronomy 22:5 women should not wear which pertaineth to a man. The last time I checked men wear pants. The wearing of pants was started through a spirit of rebellion by a European woman in the 60s. This was never in our culture as Israelite women to wear pants. This is something new that we learned when we were brought here. During that spirit of rebellion the women started wearing the pants in the house (having an independent spirit). This is when everything got out of order in the home.
