Yes I realize there's some noise from the mic, unfortunately I didn't realize it until after I had recorded the video, so please forgive it.

The one Best buy had on sale over Black Friday, the 48 in.

Do you experience luminance overshoot in dark scenes? I recently notice it and dont know if it's an issue with my tv or the b4 line of tvs in general. It can be distracting as it causes a white outline on shadows.

@@edwin99901well I had an issue when playing video games where they were in HDR and you'd open up a menu and then it would switch to SDR the screen would blacken. Initially it was only doing it for a split second but it started doing it where it would last 2 seconds or 3 seconds.
This is obviously concerning and I got in touch with LG and they told me that that wasn't normal behavior and also that since the TV was so new I should simply return it to Best buy and exchange it.
I ended up going to Best buy and unfortunately they didn't have any of the b4s in stock. They could order me one of course but that would also mean I would be out of a television and to be honest with you I'm impatient and I didn't want to do that. I could also get the B4 in the 55-in which would mean spending more money which I also didn't want to do.
While looking around I decided to pick up the u7 in from Hisense. I did a video on that as well you should check out and in some ways I like it even better than the B4.

      Wasn't U7 was a horrific down grade?

@@user-or9cj3vk6t no not really , remember we all like what we like and also a good philosophy in life is that not everything has to be constantly perfect and awesome all the time for you to enjoy it. You don't have to have the best car or the best house or the best wife or the best this or the best that, sometimes a downgrade is really an upgrade

Would you recommend this tv at the end of the day? I used to have the Samsung S90D and had to return it. So I don’t want to get this tv wrong.

It's a fine television, The only problem that I had with it was it has an aggressive ABL or not even that really more like a sudden ABL occasionally, and when it would dim because of the ABL it just would stay dim and never come back to full brightness.
I scoured around the internet and the one thing I found that worked that fixed the problem was to turn off quick start. There's a setting in the general settings menu that is a feature called quick start. It basically keeps the main system suspended and paused instead of completely off when you turn the television off. Somebody on a forum suggested to turn that off and that they had done it and it fixed their dimming problem and I tried it and it fixed my dimming problem.
Like I said supposedly it's supposed to allow the TV to come out of standby quicker but it's only like 2 seconds quicker so it's not even that big of a deal. But yeah turn that off immediately, also turn off all the eco picture settings and the setting that detects what it is that you're watching so it can automatically adjust picture quality, turn that feature off immediately.
Sorry to be long-winded but overall it's a great TV and I would recommend getting the bigger models over the 48. The 48 is fine however it looks like a small television because of its dimensions. I noticed it as soon as I put it on my entertainment stand it looks like a small teeny tiny television.
