I just ordered this one Geek, I was thinking the same thing once I saw the promo images. Yours and a couple of other reviews have convinced to pull the trigger on this guy. Not too many definitive Crimson Dynamo figures made available to us. Thanks again brother
Loved this review Geek. You know me - old school Marvel fan here, and this character is right up my alley. In fact one could say CD is one of my fave Shellhead villains. So with all that said, all I can say is it has been a week since I got it and I am still playing with mine to get it in the right pose. There are so many options with this product, it is difficult for me to choose the best pose. Geek if I can steal some of your comment space for a personal agenda; I do not understand collectors disregard for this line. I know you are a fan of the line as well, so I'm preaching to the choir, yet the once stated argument that Marvel Select is somewhat inferior to Marvel Legends is becoming a joke. Like you, I have hundreds more ML than MS, so my love for ML can't be dismissed, but the comparisons between the two lines is becoming more blurred than ever before. Articulation? With ML using softer plastic, getting figures to pose is becoming a nightmare (the last three figures including the Angel - right foot cannot move) meanwhile getting ML to maintain a pose is becoming horrible. Scale? ML doesn't follow the proper 1/6 scale, and MS products are fitting in nicely with ML's scaling mismatches. Detailing? If ML was to produce this figure, it would be all red plastic with little paint applied. Conclusively, I am convinced with each product they release that MS is much more than an alternative to ML, the two lines compliment each other. Mic drop.
I think it's because, historically, Select had some really big misses and were super inconsistent on what you would get from figure to figure. Also, the articulation was suspect, at best. Now, that being said, for the last 3 years, they have been 99% pure 🔥! They almost can't miss and people need to recognize it. I think their past reputation and lack of marketing hurts them. Legends have a very active market team: they blast on social media daily, have live streams and bring the hype. Selects just quietly hit shelves. If they were hyped more... I mean Beta Ray Bill, Titanium Man, Apocalypse, Silver Centurian...They are phenomenal...I don't know man...
@@GeekHangOver Granted Thing, Abomination and Jugs are literally bricks in the MS line - however it's a bit ironic that MS strays from their 10-15 yr old designs meanwhile ML re-uses theirs. As in the figures you mentioned I'd like to include Cap, and the upcoming Archangel and Annihlus.
They hardly ever miss. Looks fantastic.

Crimson dynamo always looked like an evil Decepticon to me. Select be killing their releases. Ifntheybever fixed the scaling they would be the MVPs
