4:31 the comment text on my machine appears in black color. Is there a way to change comment text color?

You could drag and drop clips in the extension window but no project. You still need to install the mac app, so still not a full integration. :(

I am having a hard time getting this to work. What does my employer need to upload in order for me to be able to edit from my end? I cannot find this simply explained anywhere. Do we both need to already have all the assets on our own computers?

Hi Kathryn. The media only needs to be on your Mac because YOU are the editor. Where Frame.io comes into play is that you share your timeline to frame.io (not the media, just the rendered sequence). Your employer would then add markers and comments on the frame.io hosted video. You could then download those markers and comments into your currently working sequence in order to make his/her requested changes. Hope that helps.

@@rippleguys That seems to make no sense in a workflow where the editor is working from a remote location but the footage is at your headquarter.

I'm with Kathryn and Computer Bild. This seems to be a client to editor tool. Whereas we're hoping for seamless integration within a video production team where the content shooters are out of market in the field and the video editor is at home. Frame.io has a file transfer app for this, but it doesn't allow for setting up a live/fluid sync folder where the field team can set an upload overnight while the editor simultaneously downloads onto their hard drive so that work can resume in the morning. The ditto either has to wait for the folder of files to completely upload or sit there and manually download each file onto their drive as they come in. WOOOF.
