Folks...lighten up on Roshani. She is a beginner and we all had to start somewhere. If she sticks to it and that Sporty doesn't become a garage queen...she'll continue to improve. I saw that in the video. After her initial breakdown, she gathered herself and demontrated some good riding technique. Notice how she agressively turned her head in the direction of the turns in the figure 8? I ride with "experts" who haven't learned that you go where you look and no understanding that could (hope not) lead them to an unplanned hard dismount some day. Roshani...hang in there Maam. Keep the shiney side up and keep your knees in the breeze...!
Oldskool Funk I have a little sister who expressed an interest in riding. I paid for her to go through a safety course, then I bought her a starter bike. She dropped her bike on the first ride, not even a block from home. She just about fell apart. She wanted to cry. "No worries, sweetheart. Keep going." The first time on a bike, you feel naked and self conscious being a cager for so long...it takes a bit to get used to feeling confident when you feel naked. I most certainly will not down Roshani. She got back up and she finished what she started. Kudos to her.
I remember taking a dirk bike out on the road as a kid and seeing that fast moving belt sander just below my feet scare the hell out of me. Being a little scared and flustered as a newbie is normal and probably a little healthy also. The secret is to keep trying and you will get better with time.
Okay I cried a lot!! I identified SO much with Roshani's story and my experience at my classes - the fear in the beginning. Wanting to quit. Dropping the bike once. Powering through it and then getting licensed. I LOVE THIS. Thanks for sharing.
An everyday working mother/educator and her Harley--love this story! I hope she continued to ride to school and thrill her students both in and out of class!! Three cheers for the teacher!!
"Roshani" You are a sweetheart, and we love your courage; Wishing you and your family all the best. Also like the old adage say's; "Their is nothing to fear, but fear itself"
Good for Roshani! I'm a guy, and I was terrified my first time riding also. Within a couple of days practice riding around the neighborhood, I couldn't get off the bike.lol
Awesome story! Im going to show this to my wife and hope it inspires her to get over her fear of learning how to ride so we can ride together. Thanks for the great video. John Seymour Indiana
Ive been riding for a long time, This was a great video! i know your video will inspire many people to ride. no matter who or where you come from.It take all for the world to turn.
rgmann1 So what your saying is even dork geeks that drop the bike and cry should ride? Not Bloody Likely! The chick in the video will get eaten alive in the bike world and probably killed out on the road.
I know I practiced my bike with my dad 2hrs daily so the feeling of exhaustion is pretty relatable that do you want to ride the beast but taming it and riding it controlling it becomes so hefty work......it’s like “training your dragon”
I was in here shoes when I first learned to ride because of my nerves. I fell after my 1st week and wanted to give up. But my friends in courage me not to give up. So I got back on it and been riding 15 years strong. RIDE TO DIE CHICK. ....
Cathy Perry Theirs a big difference between someone having some nervousness and being complete geeks. You may not be as good of a rider as you think. I pass people like you every day. same goes with cars.
I'm sure the ride in at the end was staged to complete the show, but I hope she finds the enjoyment and smile I always get every time I get on my HOG. Keep on Riding!
Rules Roshani. 1. You make the bike. Not the bike you. 2. Be alert at all times. 3. Enjoy the freedom of riding. 4. Your now part of the few that enjoy freedom. 5. Where all your brothers & sisters now!
I believe when Roshani was starting her initial ride, being able to keep her feet close to the ground, would have given her a sense of security. Also, with her feet close to the ground, it gives her a wider stance, that translates to better balance, when the bike begins to roll forward. As the bike begins to pick up speed, the wheels gyroscopic effect, will aid in her balance. The instructor should implement this process, in his driving class.
The good news is your 8th grade students may have the same fear or break down (as you) trying to figure out math, so you’ll know how to handle them. Great Job Mrs Motorcycle Math!
Harley so wants to be Honda? When's the last ime you've been to a biker rally/event? HD out numbers every other bike 7 to 1 at the very least. "You meet the nicest people on a Harley huh?"= Honda rip? How is that a Honda rip? I rode a Honda VTX 1300 for years and loved it but purchased a HD last summer and I will never go back and it has nothing to do with the name on the bike but has everything to do with the riding experience/community/brotherhood/sisterhood and all the above! It's unmatched..
She passed the test with those skills???? If you get on a bike and don't even know if going to make the ride or in this case hit one of your students. Not in Sweden, never ever. I love to ride but it's not for everyone.
A great instructor will always find a way to motivate their student in the riders course. In the United States, we have compassion and instill confidence. It's about the experience and love riding that makes us lift up inexperienced riders.
You Can Catch Me On Face Book Too With My Name Here As Well... Anyways, Always Take Care & Stay Safe & Well, 24x7/365, iight... Btw I Do Visit Tha U.S. Every Now & Then Cause My Younger Sis Is An American & Lives In Texas.... Peace!i! 😎🌈✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾😎🌈✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾😎🌈✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾Anyways, Later Gurl...
Bud ride safe whatever you ride..maybe a good ride will get that chip off your shoulder. It's a simple video showing you don't need to be some burly biker to ride.

She reminds me of Mr Turner from boy meets world
Conquer life and live your dreams and fantasies.
