She is a real Eurovision 1994 winner. because Edyta sang in English during the rehearsal, which was forbidden at the time, points were deducted which was unfair because this performance was the best and it went down in the history of Eurovision. Edyta is the best!

She is a great singer and has an amazing voice and to be honest here in Poland most people do (unfortunately) underestimate her talent just because of her “image” what is sad.. AND BY THE WAY at that Eurovision back in ‘94 she had Inflammation of the tonsils and larynx WHILE PREFORMING AT THAT TIME (she even says it herself when that Eurovision is mentioned)!!- and she came up second that year

Fun fact. In 1994 Edyta Górniak was almost disqualified for singing the second verse in English during the rehearsal. Why did she do it? During the competition, she had laryngitis and tracheitis and, in order not to strain her voice, she decided to sing the second verse in English, because it was less strenuous.

It should be mentioned that Edyta struggled with acute pharyngitis and her points were deducted only for the fact that she sang in English once in a lifetime at the rehearsal. Is this a fair jury? But didn't she sing brilliantly with a sore throat? All of Poland cried in 1994 when she performed this song at the Eurovision Song Contest. Text Jacek Antoni Cygan (born July 6, 1950 in Sosnowiec) - Polish songwriter, poet, prose writer, screenwriter, musical author, juror and organizer of music festivals, as well as a television personality.
