Yeah this has always been my favorite creed song. I first heard it in a bar. Some guy in there just got divorced and lost everything and was really down and he played this song on the juke box. Great song though.

I really am weathered. Blue collared Christian that works outside all day. I keep a roof over my family's head and a fridge full of food. I am proud of that. My wife and daughter have what they need. I am rusted and weathered though. It's nothing to cry about. I'm a damn proud Southern Christian white man! God Guns and Glory !!!

Same here, bro. That's why I love this song so much. My body has taken a beating over the last 30 yrs, all for the sake of my family's well being. Rarely have I ever missed a day of work because of illness or injury. I just keep going. I'm rusted and weathered, but still going. Two weeks ago, I fell down the stairs and tore my rotator cuff..........needs surgery. Last night I tore a glute while taking my work boot off. Days of work I've missed because of that?????? ZERO God Bless us.

He was a beautiful heart felt writer and lyricist. I lived a creed summer through his songs. I got divorced after 18 years when this was big! Early 40's made me feel 22. Yep it was good for my demons but better for my conscience. I loved my DVD player going to the river every weekend my ex took my kid. I jammed all day in the sun by myself to creed. Wow my kids now 28. Creed summer! That's why I still love this. I was depressed, but the music gave me confidence. I was by myself on a river bank a little populated but not much. Kayakers came up one day. I'm sunbathing drinking a beer and enjoying creed. Guy asked me if I worked out...I was like...no smiled and ignored his cute ass. I was 42. Stress thin, son was 9 with a wife beating jerk. Now I think back on that day.....dam it wasn't the fact that maybe I was hot.. just wasn't accepting it, or in the mix, maybe I knew and wasn't into him, it was probably because I was going through a divorce with a beer buzz and just asking to listen to religious rock and roll ❤️❤️❤️

I have been through hell on earth in the last 3 years and it's still going on now, I've had problems ever since 2013. I feel what you are saying, people say it will get better, but it never does and you lose hope waiting year after year. But I always try to stay positive and I do believe I will get completely better, but only with the help of Jesus.

I've always been a folk follower and player. I came to this after hearing Rick beato tell how his lead singer trashed this band and subsequently ruining their career.
This is a great song. Excellent poetry and amazing instrumental accompaniment. I am 73 and I remember this band but I went in the direction of bluegrass and folk. Regrets to have not been more open-minded as what to listen to. It reminds me of so many bands that went on to become huge and I suspect that this band Creed influenced many of them. I think a lot of people don't realize what hard work it is to put together a solid band; tight, with every phrase timed perfectly with the drum beat. I don't know how many members of this band are still but I just want you to know this old folkey thinks you guys are great, and you are children and grandchildren deserve all the royalties they can garner from your hard work.
Being an acoustic player all my life I would love to take some of these and translate them into folk!

They get so much hate these days. just because Stapp was not a great person all the time. but they made awesome music with a distinct feel, and I think they deserve more street credit for it.
"underrated" Back in the 90s, they were anything BUT underrated. You couldn't turn on the radio and not hear Higher or Arms Wide Open everyday. They won a freaking grammy and played at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

I understand this song better and better each time I hear it. But today as I read the words it speaks to me on a level that is Simply out of this world. We all have our own fights in life our own battles we fight on daily basis but in the end we all die it's just where you put your heart and soul in the end. It's always been said that the devil is a prince of the Airways, but not necessarily true. Scott Stapp and his band members that's proven that the word of an all Mighty power can be used to reach so many people. You never know what someone is going through so to write a song that can touch every human being in this world and their own personal way, is just phenomenal. So when you listen to this song let it work however you need it to work you're listening to it for a reason and it's a great reason
