    Always amazed by the quality of the value video! Would definitely love to see you review the She E Wu mallets if you could get a hold of them, either way keep making them vids Adam 👏

      Thanks brother! I have been interested in those for a while as well, but thanks for watching :)

    you should do a video where you mix different marimba one mallets to find the best four mallet combination

    • @AdamTanPercussion
      @AdamTanPercussion  7 років тому +2

      Javonis Adams Haha thanks for the suggestion, I don't get much success from mixing Marimba One mallets because they are too ergonomically different. Might work for some people though!

    I'd love it if you would revive Daniel Bergs Elite Mallets from Percushop. Amazing channel!

      Great suggestion - I've had a look at Elite mallets before since they're also from Percushop (like the Inakis). Thank you for watching!

    I know other people have already recommended it, but you should really check out the Thomas Burritt mallets from Innovative Percussion. I love their sound, especially on Bach. I played Bach's first cello suite last year on a Marimba One 3100 with a set of 4 TB-3s, and it had great blend and tone at all registers.

      Elijah Gray Wow everyone keeps telling me about them, I've definitely got to try it! thanks for letting me know 😀

    I personally like these better than the Ivana Bilic mallets. I felt no matter which Bilic mallet I used, they seemed a bit too clunky. I felt more of a balance and more control with the Round Sounds. I used them playing Virginia Tate and Restless, using a soft mallet for mallet 1, and the rest mediums.

    • @AdamTanPercussion
      @AdamTanPercussion  7 років тому +1

      TenorGuy9913 I agree, the Bilic series is very weighty compared to these!

    Hey, you should do a review of the concerto series from Malletech :) Also you should try to get the other set of graduated mallets from encore (Anthony DiSanza Two Tone Series)!! Love your videos!

      Thanks for the suggestion man! I've tried the CN4s before as a bass mallet and they were okay, a bit fluffy in terms of contact sound but not bad :) I'm trying to get a few things from Encore so maybe they'll send me that! Thanks for watching!

    Hey Adam! I'm loving the videos! (both the vlog and studio series) How do you go about the Variations on a theme by ____.? Do you rearrange a piano part or just go with what you feel? Keep up the great work!

    • @AdamTanPercussion
      @AdamTanPercussion  7 років тому +1

      Hey Kyle, thanks for watching both channels :) I usually just figure out the chord pattern (you can see I gravitate towards pop songs which have easy chord patterns HAHA) and then I put the melody in my right hand and just try and put the chords in a traditional marimba style arrangement. Something like that!

    First off, I really like your videos, great job! It might be hard to get a hold of but I'd like to see some reviews of the Elite mallets, preferably even some comparison.

      Viktor Hallin I'd always been intrigued in Elite mallets too. Thanks for watching man!

      I play the Miqeul Bernats signature mallets (I have all six sets) and I have never played with any other mallets that sounds better (in my opinion). I've played lots of other mallets but I have never played any mallets that sound the same. I think you either hate or love it. Would be cool with a comparison video!

    • @AdamTanPercussion
      @AdamTanPercussion  7 років тому

      I just had a look at those... man they look crazy! I'd be keen to give it a try :) They must be pretty good if you have all six!

    • @viktorhallin2084
      @viktorhallin2084 7 років тому

      Well, yeah. But I also think that you either love them or hate them. There is not much in between. I've owned the van Sice, the Daniel Berg, the LHS, the Kevin Bobo, the Summits and probably some more that I can't remember at the top of my head. I usually love them to begin with and two days later I'm back to Bernats! It should also be mentioned that I've tried lots more than the ones I've owned! Perhaps it's acquired taste.

    • @AdamTanPercussion
      @AdamTanPercussion  7 років тому +1

      Definitely! I think there is definitely no right or wrong choice when it comes to favourite mallets, and it's exciting that you have finally found a series to commit to :)
