This the one video for which I have been searching. Great thanks Doc Clavell for this demonstration on a live patient. You're a very impressive physician as well as person. Almost 60,000 hits on your video speaks for itself. Perhaps, you will share some anecdotes from your life (without invading your privacy, of course) one day. Your patients and subscribers would be appreciative, no doubt.
Got my implant July 2020. 72. Grip isn't what it used to be. So getting full inflation is a chore. But here is a quick hack. Cycle the pump every night. The bulp loosens up. You get better at cycling. And you get more confident in its use. Practice. It makes perfect.
wow is so complicated , i dont get it how the inflattable is preferable if it can fail , also hard to inflate , , malleable i guess is easy , low risky and uncomplicated . i bellieve maybe behind that is big pharma , with inflattable means more revisions and more hight costs and money from patients , this is my opinion sorry
@@clavelluro sorry doctor maybe im stressfull cuz im planing to do the surgery feels so stress, my appology ive been so rude , penile implant it can be so amazing option , thank have good day
Great explanations. At 3 1/2 months post implant, I am pretty confident, I can inflate it in seconds. No more pinching the skin nor pump hitting my left testicle. Practice, practice..... Thank you Dr Clavell.
Here's something I feels to be expanded on. Deflating. When my procedure was done the Dr said it is "half mast" and not to touch it for 4 weeks for healing. I keep it all clean and recovery was perfect. I'm relying on videos to teach me how to use it. I'm 5 weeks in now. I believe I have the AMS700. I pretty sure I have locate the button but please elaborate on how hard to squeeze it (comparatively to inflating). I feel no vibration or clicking or popping. Please MORE on this. Can be painfull squeezing the button(that testicle pain we all know). Doing my best to get it from both sides with only skin in between. Can you actually feel the button depress? Inflating was well demonstrated. What about cycling? Your help would be grateful.

The VA did my surgery five weeks ago, the AMS 700 LGX. They have moved my post-op appointment to eight weeks due to schedule issues on their part. I was told to leave the device alone until I get trained on it's use at that time. Shouldn't I be cycling it prior to that even if I do not use it for sex. It was inflated at surgery to 30% and they wanted me to keep it up against my belly using my under ware band? Very hard to do when I bend and work some. Any suggestions?
I’m at 4 weeks post op. Dr. Told me to begin cycling and using the implant. I’ve tried for 2 days and after the initial pop I can pump it a couple of more times and then the pump gets hard and won’t continue to pump. It gets to about 50% and won’t go further. I can deflate (which works well) and try again but with the same result. Any suggestions?
Visit your doctor or try to get with a local rep who can make sure you are doing it right. Also, try to get a second hand in there to help the bulb squeeze harder
Thank you for your great video. I am curious what happens when a man is aroused mentally before he presses the pump. does he get a "natural erection" or it's sensation. Will the natural erection adversely effect the implanted pump ?
Dr. I am two weeks now after surgery. Still when i try i feel painful. This is normal ? Also i am feeling that the pump going up inside my body which i can't find the Deflating
Just got my AMS 700 in Nov 2021. I'm 76. I have arthritis in my thumbs and I'm having a very difficult and frustrating time inflating. 2 pumps on the bulb and I don't seem to get any more inflation - assume it's my thumbs, but wonder if it could be something else. Is there a hack? A tool? Something I can apply to the bulb? Or over my thumb to increase pressure? If someone can help I need it! Right now I have regrets that I gave up my Vacuum Erection Device. :(
Through your doctor, you can contact AMS's territorial manager who can probably help and try to see what's the best option for you. We have many patients who have their partners activate the implant for them when necessary. Practice makes perfect. Remember... everyone struggles initially.
I use a 2 handed method. I hook my fingers underneath the pump at the hoses. I put my index fingers under the pump bulb. And I pump the bulb against my index fingers with both thumbs. I also squeeze against my hands with my legs to keep it steadier. This works great for me. But I think all guys should find the method that works for them. Dr. Clavells Pump placement is perfect for the method I use. Thanks Dr. Clavell!!
Hello I have two questions. Can someone with scleroderma get and use this device since scleroderma causes you skin to become really tight. 2nd question, do these devices get as stiff and hard as a natural erection? Like what percentage stiffness would you say these devices get. Thank you!
Same answer for both questions: it all depends on your grip strength. With scleroderma: Is the penile skin involved? That may limit the expansion of the penis (in theory). Are you able to squeeze a pump? If able to squeeze the pump: the implant can get as stiff as a natural erection: 100%
Dr...when is it time to replace an implant? Do you have to wait until it no longer works or should one consider to change it after certain amount of years? I've have had mine for 10 years now..
Rich Lo, Not sure why you had to go this route myself prostate cancer and surgery has caused me Ed I just wanted to how has your experience been In your ten years sir. Thanks in advance

Needs troubleshooting section. My valve will not close and I cannot inflate the device
Call your Dr’a Boston Scientific rep, they can coach you to troubleshoot
Having problems deflating the device. Seems to deflate half was. Any suggestions?
make sure you squeeze the implant with your other hand to “drain the fluid” back into the reservoir.

It is not complicated at all. Most men are able to make it work easily. Plus, the inflatable feels and looks a lot more natural than a malleable.

Talk to your surgeon and ask for an evaluation
Is it better to be circumcised or uncircumcised to get the implant procedure?

@@clavelluro Doctor can I use vacuum pump after ams 700 lgx implant as it can increase in size and width. Would appreciate your answer?
my implant has become short, can i go lgx am 700 from my am 700
that’s a good question for you surgeon.
Hmmm I'm a Quad so squeezing isn't possible. Is there any alternatives to THIS type of use?
Either have someone else do it for you or get a non-inflatable/semirigid implant
@@clavelluro Well thats old tech.Come up with an alternative or I will.
