Plus the way they talk about themselves in their songs. It's real people; brian is just a man. He never gives himself the moral high ground, or vise versa. It's real people, real emotions

They don't suck. If you look up tabs to their songs they're actually harder to play than you may think. It's nothing too crazy,but for an amateur, you're gonna have a rough time trying to play their songs.
i think the simplicity of the music is a part of the appeal - theyre the type of songs youd sing among friends at 3AM, theyre the type of songs you can always fall back on, they never pretend to be more than they are. theres something so honest and inviting about everything they make

@JordanRoberts24: just because they aren't talented musicians and they don't have complex arrangements doesn't mean they suck. They're brilliant songwriters and very creative, especially on songs like maps and beers, with their production despite being a lo fi group. There's also something very endearing about the singer's voice.

Their songs are pretty dang easy, but that has nothing to do with good or bad.

i mean , its quite literally a combination of 4-5 chords , great band but not all too complex . If you want a hard song go find some hendrix
