Finally a step by step "real world" video on "how to" install a push bar. This is the only one out there! Been very hesitant on getting a push bar due to the fact that it comes with all of 1 page of instructions on how to install it. Ordering my push bar now! You made my day! Thanks for helping me.
Watching this just makes me all the more thankful I bought my CVPI with the push bumper installed. I totally get why people say buy the car you want with everything you want preinstalled when possible. Regardless, you nailed the install. Looks exceptionally done and better than most departments likely.
Thanks! I do agree with you on buying the car you want. This is why I have the Impala with a push bumper from when it was in service. The CVPI was just too good to pass up - it's not often that a car comes to auction with all it's lighting still installed... the wrap around was just a lucky break at the junkyard.
I like your way of measuring the holes. I don't have a center marker on the front of my bumper so I'll probably do it your way vs what the instructions say. Your holes are probably a smaller in size vs what the instructions say too, which is what I want. Nice work!
Installing mine, today. 06 CVPI and never had a pushbar. Just bought the brackets online, pushbar off of Letgo. Local gal had it. Thanks for the info man.
It will likely end up that way. I really like the color matched mirror covers - I didn't expect to like them as much as I do. I definitely have to change the grill to black honeycomb.
This was a great how to video. Could've been condensed down a bit but I appreciate you taking the time to make this video. Gonna be doing this to my Grand Marquis hopefully tomorrow with the exact same push bar.
Rivets are meant to be drilled out. Next time you run into that problem. Just use a but that is a tiny bit bigger than the inner diameter of the river and kind waller it around until it breaks apart. Real easy.
TheCopCar if you look up gorhino 5038 you can find a PDF from GoRhino with the install instructions you should add that to the description for future vic owners.
You should definitely get some Go Rhino or Setina stickers, what I did was I contacted Setina and they mailed me a set of brand new stickers for my PB400.
Everyone wants to see the wraps, and after years of looking at local police with them on their cars, I've actually grown to be "ok" with the wraps - the first time I saw wraps, I thought they were ugly.
Great video. That was helpful. The only part I'm getting stuck with is the wings. My mounting brackets are having troubles lining up. Hopefully you can figure it out better then I can. 😂
You aren't joking, I had some fun with the wrap-around... had to "shove" it into shape. They didn't want to attach to the mounts - on the sides of the bumper - by the fender.
Hahaha, DARE. Is DARE still a thing? I remember it came about a little after my time (my younger brother was right in the thick of it.) My age group had to endure the "Smoke-Free Generation" bullshit which pre-dated DARE by a couple/few years. It was all complete Nancy Reagan-esque, "Just Say No" propaganda. I bet more kids in my graduating class smoked IN SPITE OF of that crap!! But I digress... I'm more intrigued by the pushbar installation. I have a "civvie" black 2012 Impala and I wonder how many people would slow down if they saw me in their rearview sporting a pushbar?? The gears in my head are turning!!
The push bar on my Impala makes a ton of difference. Most people don't really notice Impala's in general, but with the push bar everyone drives really nicely around it. As for DARE, I think it was defunded or abandoned years ago... besides, kids nowadays are more interested in vaping.

Thanks! Much appreciated. I had no instructions, and had to go on memory after pulling it from a junkyard car.

Looks good, but I'm thinking the black grille, mirror covers and steel wheels would make the package complete.
It will likely end up that way. I really like the color matched mirror covers - I didn't expect to like them as much as I do. I definitely have to change the grill to black honeycomb.
Good job on the holes
Thanks so much 🙏

I just installed one on mine last week. Took me about an hour.

I'll have to see if GoRhino is interested. I should probably repaint it... and the car before "completing" it.
Saving this, and I'll be looking forward to the wrap around bars too
Thanks! I hope it helps!
Dude ,great job, Myself, I would not ad any more, to the front. Looks clean, just as is.

I'm thinking about after I mount mine, about welding those mounting parts. Just to make sure it's not going anywhere.
I wish I could get those brackets at a local junk yard, I'm in the process of fabricating my own ones 😫 great videos 👍
If you dont mind me asking, what push bar series is this ? Was that a 5038? Or a 5040?
