- Welcome to another episode of my House Journal where I share the journey of making our house into a home. If you are new here my name is Lærke. I normally post knitting content on this channel but also other creative bits as this series.
In this episode I show out the progress we have made so far on our kitchen after almost a year of living in the house. We are maybe half way there but it's already filling me with so much joy! I also bring you along on a little thrift hunt in my area. I hope you can find some inspiration in this video

Your kitchen is absolutely beautiful! Next to knitting, I really enjoy seeing home improvements and decorating. I enjoyed this very much. I’m 74, but you made me want to get the brushes and paint out! I have a lot of green in my home. I really love your dark green wall, but ultimately you go with your heart and do what makes you feel at home. Great tip about using a sock to distribute the linseed oil! You explained everything very clearly, no problems there. I look forward to seeing more. 💚

I’m so happy to hear that. I always only recommend what i like and milanote is really useful to keep track of bigger projects like a house. But also just to create pretty moodboards 🥰

Lærke your kitchen is developing nicely. I love the green on your wall but the cabinets would look lovely in green also. That is a hard dilemma. I think I would prefer the cabinets green, it would make your countertops especially beautiful. The range hood that you chose is perfect! Enjoy! 🌷🪻🌸🌻🌹

Thank you very much! From old things you can often see some interesting differences in culture. Most recent stuff is more international and that is not as fun to look at

The thrift store glimpse was so nice to see. It looked more like an American antique store. Most thrift stores here are just full of modern junk items. The antique stores all charge too much too. It's unfortunate if you like older things because I find them always marked up.
Here you can also find a bit of both types. This one i was visiting is one where people can rent a space. It works really well as i can just skip the ones i dont like 😅
