You may appreciate the book How Physics Makes Us Free by J. T. Ismael. It's a highly detailed and serious attempt to defend free will. It didn't convince me, but much of what I learned was immensely valuable, and the author's arguments are novel in an otherwise stale debate.
like practically, right,, PRACTICALLY... isnt free will just a useful way of telling people to take some form of self responsibility in their lives? edit: i dont feel like this is is new but i feel it needs to be said
Depends who you ask. Different people make different assumptions, and I don't really see the point in saying assumptions are wrong. I kinda only care about outcomes.

I know the author. Sounds like an interesting idea, given physics and biology are always the primary things used to argue determinism.

That's 1300 books +, would be a hard video to film lol. And to watch. I would have to say nothing about the books to keep it timely.
