The problem with AI is that it has to be trained: to train it, it needs to be fed as much possible music as possible, which means it is *going* to sound like whatever it was trained with by definition. This is why I also think it is important for artists to include licensing contracts that states explicitly if you do or do not want to allow these AI entities to use your music to train their AI. If you do - then I expect it would help you if you do want to hold these AI companies to task for using your stuff illegally.

For the reasons you outlined @TopMusicAttorney I as a producer who specializes in R&B beats , in my singular licensing option I offer all of the audio files, and the terms in a nutshell are the artist can record and distribute their song with no limitations or restrictions and the license does not expire so they do not have to purchase a new license. I also don't offer Exclusive licenses for the beats in my online library but for artists that want Exclusive license options I produce a custom beat for them that no one else has access to and is truly Exclusive as opposed to an "Exclusive" that 100 other artists may already have recorded an original song on.

In italiano it WOULD be Oo-dee-oh or probably oo-DEE-oh ;-) You Tube has changed policies on publishing videos. I made a video of playing different sounds with an electric guitar processor. I purposefully did not mention any brand names nor did I show any of the equipment. Also the video was accepted for publishing so hopefully just improvising what I felt did not unintentionally violate a copyright. How much more can be created which has not already been done? This seems like the ultimate modern dilemma for musicians now and in the future.

I am playing around with video and I started to test out the ai stuff. It appears that you can tell the ai what to say with what I used so it is just the performer of my lyrics and it came up with the video. I told it to get rid of the sound and then laid my track to it and it shows the watermarks of all the footage to prove they had the rights to it. My first example it just says the name of the song and then Dexter U.S. and the orcs are coming in a british voice. .... seems like you can get into trouble making assumptions about the copyright of a..i. generated stuff from third party sources.

So if you buy an exclusive lease there could still be 1000 versions of the song out before you buy exclusive right? Or how does that work

Hello team ! I have a question for the using marketing companies section. I get a lot of people DM me saying they will promote my music, can you share the principle methods of how they promote? is it all just bots? or are they doing something we could do ourselves? I don't want to use these services, I would like to grow organically. and I discovered a method myself that has doubled my followers on X with real accounts in the past few days! Just wanted to see if I'm on the right track. Granted, not a lot of total followers, but legit accounts, I think that is what matters.

Go organic with your marketing, especially if you are growing your audience already. You know what you are doing! I have hired a lot of marketing people over my career, and some might be helpful to a degree, but it is too big of an expense to justify minimal improvements, and there is too much risk a marketing person will pay for fake likes/streams to try and prove their value. If they pay for botting on music platforms, for example, it could result in your account getting deleted, you losing your royalties, etc. My general rule is: if you find content that works organically, you can consider using that same content and paying for ads on Facebook to push the content out further to cold audiences. Test ads in small batches, $5-$15 a day. See if it results in conversions (like/follows/streams). If not, then keep going organic. Hope this helps!
