Hardware organization... Amazon sells "spice bottles" like you buy oregano or garlic salt in. They're cheap, clear plastic, with a good lid on them to keep things from spilling out. I put little stuff like rivets, nuts, bolts, washers, etc in them, bust out the label maker to label the contents, and set them on the shelf. Easy to identify, less likely to spill on the floor.
Awesome suggestion. We still have everything in the bags which can get annoying sorting through. Once expanded our shelving we will definitely look into that
You’re lucky you started your build when you did. With Van’s current financial problems, you saved yourself lots of extra money. The upcoming price increases of approximately 1/3 might have new builders thinking twice about jumping into a project.
Very cool! I just received my empenage/tail wing kit today! It is the 4th sub kit In my RV14A that I have gotten. It is what I will start with and since I have the other kits too I won't have to wait. Fun stuff!
Emb aviation who builds rv and slings. He uses a peg board and puts all parts on board. Avoids hunting a walking to pieces. The board is right there. A suggestion
We haven't addressed it in a video but thankfully got emails from Vans that all of our stiff does NOT have any laser cut parts. Hoping everyone with laser cut parts gets it figured out and back on their building way
Good luck with your 10 build! Is it a standard or quickbuild kit? Once we got started on the bottom skins for the wings and got into the rhythm of it, the riveting was much less intimidating. This community is the best with sharing tips and information for building!

So nice having someone help to count all those little things. Yes, I had a few missing nuts too! 8^) The -7 is such a great plane.
Can't wait to be sitting in it! Can't ever have a perfect inventory right? Vans always fast to make it right
As a 3 time builder, kit inventory was my favorite thing!
First one wasn't so fun but once we figured out the pattern and how to do it, I agree, its a lot of fun!
