I was watching a French vid on changing the air filter and the dilly sod took off the fairing to get the tank off! It's gutting when you've dona ll that work an the air filter doesn't even need replacing! And is it right that these bikes will happily cruise at 60mph? Seems a bit far-fetched for such a heavy bike!
i think i should do this to mine as well as my idle is up and down when i rev it and let throttle go power dies down almost to stall can this be air filter or needs some carb cleaner ?
Your mixture is too lean. i think you have either an air leak somewhere or your carbs are unsynced. Or your pilot screws need some fiddling around with. If your air filter seems moderately clean i am positive it's not the culprit
Aye mate, thanks for the vid. Just got myself an 06 varadero for cheap. Some pleb has cut the end off of the nipple under the airbox that's supposed to be the oil drain.
Bawhaha. Not a pleb, but a factory worker. That's how it's supposed to be. And it's not an oil collector, it's water collector. some condensation builds up in there.
@@h10hunter Aye, whatever you say. I'm sure that's the reason why they put a pipe over it, clamped the pipe on and then cut the pipe off jagged slightly protruding from the nipple.
how i ask is my idle is a bit up and down when i rev it .. it seems to almost cut out but dose not idle speed picks back up again could this be same issue as yours ??
Thank you mate, I just bought one (04 Model) gets delivered tomorrow - looking at all the UA-cam vlogs for maintenance tips :)

Delkevic Exhaust
czy owiewki z nowszej wersji varadero beda pasowac do starszej i czy bak w nowszej tez jest troche inny?
inne zegary i całkiem inne rozwiązanie elektryczne . Bak ten sam . Przed liftowe ładniejsze klasyczne . Nowe są zbyt szpiczaste .
Useful video, but far too much waffle, and lack of prep on tools/area. No need to enter the house.
Yea I'm thinking of getting one, after seeing your video. I am definitely gonna get one. How much did you sell it for?
+fitzieo1 I let it go cheap at £800 with 10 months mot and new tyres needed funds for my new bike.
Yes that's really cheap. The cheapest I have seen so far is about £1500 and didn't look too good at that.
+fitzieo1 it was the v2 model so it was one of the early ones, bloody good bike I should have kept it for winter use.
whats that stuff you are spraying and what dose it do ?
HONDA cbr its a can of carb cleaner it removes all the sludge and varnish that petrol can leave carb.
thanks for that buddy
