Although Koopas weren't exactly in Super Mario Bros 2 there were still several occasions throughout the game where you could dig up their shells to use as weapons that would run through all enemies, though unlike in the first Super Mario Bros the Mario 2 shells would dissipate when they hit an edge, though this was changed in later remakes (like the copy in Mario superstar for SNES or Super Mario Advanced for the GBA)
Back then I always thought koopas were the evil version of yoshi also another reason why I thought that is because I thought yoshi was a turtle but he's acultly a dinasour.
@@mydude8731 thay do they only attack Yoshi when Mario's on him though but if you leave Yoshi with an enemy the enemy will just walk straight past yoshi
7:45 Actually Koopas are not fully absent from Mario Sunshine. In Pinna Park and Pianta Village there are electric turtles known as Electrokoopas which are a subspecies of Koopa Troopas. Electrokoopas can climb on walls and fences but are usually seen patrolling the ground in a certain area. When Mario gets close to them they eject their electric shells and shoot them at Mario in order to zap him
And the snoozakoopa (i may have misspelled that) is a sea turtle that has an egg shell as a shell... and of course it sleeps and for some reason they mess up sunflowers???? When you wake them up they use their flippers to try to chase you and when they catch up they "ground pound" with their shells and get stuck in the sand and to kill them you need to ground pound their underbelly
Years: 1996 & 2004. Consoles: N64 & NDS. Titles: Super Mario 64 & 64 DS. Info: Like in the 2 Super Mario World games, you can knock them out of their shells. But they added a new feature: riding the shells! This can help you go faster & go on places like lava or water! There was a mew & friendly variant: Koopa the Quick! Mario 1st encountered him in Bob-Omb Battlefield. Koopa challenges him to a race up the summit where King Bob-Omb was there & must race to the flag! Koopa the Quick was only found in 2 areas of the game.
+KRF Gaming zbo3 like I said in the video there are more variations that I didn't cover this is because they derived alot from the actual koopa troopa and it would have took us off track the sledge bro falls under this since this is more a variation of the hammer bro not koopa troopa
7:56 A lot of people don't like this powerup and say it's the worst, but in my opinion, it's my favorite. I just love bouncing off of things with it. Edit, You also get invincible for however long you want if you crouch, so yeah.
That's an awesome video. People should not forget that not all of the Koopa Troopa are loyal to Bowser as seen in your video, so those peaceful koopa troopa doesn't find Mario an enemy or assassin of their own tribe.
It's not just the Koopas walk on 2 legs, their 3D model in New Super Mario Bros on the Wii, it gave them the ability to dance to Overworld's famous Bah Bah.
Actually, the koopas started to wear t shirts in Mario bros. if, you wait long enough after a koopa is on it's side, it will jump out of it's shell and then back in again.
ACTUALLY MY GOOD FRIEND in new super Mario bros there are definitely more ways of obtaining the blue shell. Such as the toad houses and the red flying item boxes. I know this because New Super Mario Bros was the first game I ever played ever.
Giant Drybone was invented in new super mario bros. You cant hurt them by jumping on them, or shooting fireballs. So the only way to beat them is using the power star or koopa shell.
I dunno what it is about those N64 models, but they look so good that I really like the Koopas that way, but I would've liked a model of theme just sitting in their shell like an actual turtle like from Mario 1.
Year: 1990. Console: SNES & GBA. Title: Super Mario World. Info: This is the very 1st Mario game where Koopas stand on 2 feet & have shoes ( like the Hammer Bros.! )! If their stomped, they'll be knocked out of their shells & will walk around in their undershirts [ which is odd, by the way. ]. They also added new shell colored Koopas: The Red, Blue ( or light purple ), Yellow, & flashing. Yoshi can only gain powers from these shells. Red gives Red Yoshi powers to spit 3 fireballs in 3 directions, Blue gives Blue Yoshi wings & can fly, Yellow gives Yellow Yoshi powers to make earthquakes & flashing gives him all powers at once!

I like how Wily said World 2s Bowser imposter is a Koopa trooper but the footage showed a Blooper instead.
Yeah, it was the world 6 castle, world 2's bowser doesn't throw hammers from what I remember
Hahahahahahaha
Obviously, it's a Bloopa Troopa.
I was going to Comment that
yea

Great video and that was interesting the Koppa Troppa had multiple versions of one creature
I had so much trouble with the hammer brothers as a child
