I failed the Aug level 2. After watching all those video showing how they passed all three levels with a single try, I was quite depressed. Thanks for sharing the experience.
Marc, if you really love finance and you want to make it a lifelong career, keep fighting until will pass all three levels! If there is another area which you love more than Finance, you may consider that after one more attempt for level 2. From your other videos , I believe you were good enough to pass level 2. Unfortunately, CFA exams are very tricky! Good luck in the next one!

Thank you for the words of encouragement! Definitely going to take another run at level 2. To be continued.
Don't give up , it's a very hard exam you will pass next time .I failed level 2 in 2019 very closed to mps and this year I passed almost on the top percentile. Keep pushing

Thank you! Definitely not giving up. Glad to hear you passed.
Don't give up! I passed the Level 2 on my third attempt. But I did learn a lot from my mistakes. On this thirdtry i went strictly to kaplan books and EOC of the curriculum. And dothe candidate resources questions! over 2000 in the website.

Congrats on making it through! Thanks for the advice
Hey man, exact same as me but slightly different topics that worked out that way for me was econ and derivatives that i bombed 💣. I think you have the right approach, more quality time and review the areas on the actual exam you had trouble with. And for the areas you *thought* that you aced, a few more passes of the materials with the practice mocks will fix it.
Hi Marc, thank you for posting this. I wrote in Aug 2021 and also did not make it. I'm re-writing again in Aug 2022. We gotta keep at it and push through. We got this. Please let me know if you are open to any virtual study session? I would love to join
I think Equity is a tricky section since you felt easy when you went through the study materials...and it was totally a different thing when you actually try the practice questions.I passed on my third attempt, and I pretty much always underestimated Equity for the previous two attempts. Good luck for your next one, Im sure you can nail it.

I agree, there's so much they can ask you from that chapter! Thanks for the vote of confidence!
@ sadly i don't have motivation anymore. reading the kaplan books were srsly a waste of time. i wasted 2 years reading all ~1k pages of kaplan to only end up scoring 40-50% in mocks. if you're wondering, 1 extra year was due to covid delays. so with only 5 days left, i can't finish analyzing the rest of the mocks. actually, i've only done 3 half mocks 2 weeks ago that destroyed me (kaplan ones). and didn't do the remaining kaplan mocks nor cfa mock. instead, i just went thru the answers and reading the LOS pertaining to it. i finished FRA (except for the pension fund chapter ofc) and equity revision, but for the rest i've only slightly revised. one thing that makes me sad is how easy i found QM to be when i've actually went thru the answers and the LOSs, i was always scared of this subject. but anyways with almost 270 questions left to analyze and only 5 days left, i don't have time anymore, i'm just gonna revise the kaplan books and see what the exam is like on thursday. my biggest problem is not failing, it's actually needing to wait an entire freaking year to repeat it. cz if i do it on feb (given results come out in nov), i only have 4 months to re-read the ENTIRE curriculum plus doing mocks and revision. and i don't think that's possible. cz this time i wanna read the cfa books not the crappy kaplan ones. so i have to literally wait till august nxt year and my age is such an issue for this matter. i'm turning 29 nxt year, which is an issue due to post-cfa plans of doing mba. sorry for the long rant, but just need advise. first, is it possible to study 3-4 hours a days for the nxt year to pass level 2 (that includes the last 2-3 weeks of only studying 3-4 or maybe 5 hours a days)? i'm asking cz i can't handle studying long 12-18 hours a days just before the exam. it makes me mentally die. no joke. second, do i need to re-read the entire material given the 2022 curriculum changes? thanks in advance!
Hi nice content! Dont give up, I'm the same as you for Level 3. Just do alot of practice questions for all the topics and learn effectively. Will definitely help to boost your results for L2. :) You're doing good!
I failed Lvl 2 for the second time. My score is right on the minimum passing line. Devastated. I am tired. But I’ve purchased MM Lvl 2’s package. I’m going for it again in November 2021.

Best of luck for November, I just signed up for February to give myself more time.
Hi Marc. Late to the party but pilling on anyway. You pretty much nailed at the end of the video. Quality hours...make sure you focus on understanding rather than "mechanical intakes". There is no way to get through Level 2 unless you actually know/understand what is going on. They can ask the question whichever way they want to trick but you ll see it coming miles away if you truly understand the concepts. Lastly, I personally stopped tracking my hours after well over 1500 hrs spent on Level 2 only. Do you need as much? Probably not. But that is how close to a "sure thing" I wanted to be. Don't get too caught up in the "300 hours" benchmark. By any means necessary should be the policy. Make whatever sacrifices YOU need to get it done. If that means 700 hours....so be it. Good Luck.

Thank you so much for the advice. Not sure I’ll hit 1500 hrs but will give it my all this time for sure!!!
5:28 agreed! I didn’t clear the bar on May 2021 L2 either but scored higher than expected from really hitting blue boxes and such in the tougher sections the last week or two

Absolutely, thanks for sharing, need to switch it up for next attempt
Bro you truly didn't make the right effort to pass. 1. You barely passed L1, so came without a solid background 2. You only studied 350 hours for an exam that you should at least put 500. Give it a third round, do it the right way, and celebrate your acomplishment. You got this!
Hey marc as i told you earlier i am preparing for cfa , i bought my books a few days ago and already done with 2 sessions out of 19 wish me luck also do send some advice for level 1 keep hustling for level 2!!
@ Working from the actual curriculum at Levels II and III is essential. Hammer the in chapter blue boxes and the end of chapter questions. you will not pass otherwise.
really great to get an honest and truthful reaction to a setback. Says a lot to your character, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the kind words, definitely trying to help other people through this journey by sharing these videos!

Bon courage pour ton prochain essai Marc, et merci encore pour ton contenu.

Focus on derivatives since it only two reading so it’s like 2.5%-5% weight per reading
Will definitely try!

Completely up to you for what you want to do

Better luck next time man!!
I am also preparing for level 1 feb 2022 attempt
Do you recommend me to study actual cfa books too?
100%, prep providers do help too though
@ thank you!
i also failed in l2 in august. i m giving it in feb 2022 bcoz i m in flow. worst score were in fra, portfolio, eco.
Did u study from Kaplan or the cfa books?
Mainly prep provider stuff for this attempt
how close to the mps were you? are you using the actual CFA books to prepare?
Unfortunately not super close, I focused more on the prep provider material rather than books, going to switch that up a bit for my next attempt

My l2 exam is in next month 😭
Very stressed
I failed too. We spoke soon after we wrote. Lets talk bro, how can we make this happen?
Let's get it done, just made my schedule for Feb 2022 lvl 2 last night!
You look like a young Mark LeFebvre. You will pass
Haha thank you! I am not familiar with Mark LeFebvre!
@ no worries. Let me know if I could be of help
What was your major in university
Finance
This looks like you prepared for core topics but neglected fringe topics that came up
Yeah, certainly wasn't easy!
